A date......

Many of you know I've been waiting for the "date" of Sam's deployment to start. Well, it's the 26th of this month. Of course, subject to change by a day or so since it's the army but in a few weeks.
Let the fun begin...or not....

Edited to add~for those who don't know, this is Sam's 3rd deployment. It's for a year. He's been in the army for over 10 years so we know the drill well. I am just laughing because the army has to have a calendar of important dates so they know how to mess them up. May 1st is our 10th wedding anniversary.
I'll be fine....I just want it to get started so it can get over with.

I'm sorry Danny. A year is such a long time. I was once a Navy wife so I kind of know what you are going through. He only went once for 8 months though. It sucks that he will be going before your anniversary.

Blessings,
Christine

Somehow I missed the fact that Sam's deployment was for a year. You know we'll all be here for you, but that's not the same as your husband. Sending lots of hugs and prayers for you.

So sorry to hear this is suppose to happen just before your anniversary. Hopefully you 2 can celebrate just before he leaves. I know that year is a long time, but know that we are all here for you. We love you and will do anything to help. And we love Sam for his service to this country. It is a commitment that is very necessary to this country, but very hard on the families. I have said this before to you and will say it again. 'It takes someone very special to be married to man that is in the service and always being sent somewhere'. So I guess that makes you a very special person, but I already knew that.

You sound so strong when you talk about your husband leaving. It takes special people like you to serve our country. Thank you and my thoughts are with you and Sam.

The service makes you a stronger woman. I can see that you mastered it. Ten years gives you a lot of experience. I am so sorry that Sam has to go for a third time. Just pick a day and celebrate your anniversary. There will be many more that you will be able to celebrate on your actual anniversary date. Just think, you made it through half of the time until Sam's retirement. The best to both of you. We all will be here for you. Hugs...Marie

Danni,

I so admire Army and other service wifes who willingly give their husbands up for the rest of us to have our Freedom, Well you will just have to throw yourself into blogging stamping and your kiddo's!!!!

I believe it takes special people to be in the Armed Forces and protect the world. So thank you to Sam, his colleagues and especially you and the families.
