A little rambling

Just thought I'd ramble a bit...ignore if ya want! LOL!
My kids started school on Monday. We are in a year round school district and normally start in July but it was pushed back until August this year.
I really like both their teachers and they both are loving school, which is heart warming to me. Matthew is in the 3rd grade and Annabelle is in pre-k.
With school starting, my schedule is hectic to say the least. It wouldn't be bad but Belle only goes 1/2 day~~ from 11:30-2:30, Matthew goes from 7:40-3:15. Lots of trips to the school and we just sit and wait from when Belle gets out until Matthew's done.
I haven't really done much this week during my "free time" as I've been just enjoying it. But I plan to start volunteering at the school at least one day a week soon.
I also am starting a new adventure for me. Friday night I took a self defense/rape prevention class at the kids Kung Fu. It truly opened my eyes and well, really changed the way I think about so many things. I really just came to life doing it...and well, I'm probably signing up to do the adult Kung Fu classes on Tues and Thurs from 12-1. Something I'd never picture myself doing but am so excited about.
I also wanted to say if you have never taken a self defense class...do it! It is so well worth it...a little knowledge can go so far!!!
I'm still working on a routine for myself and still hope to be able to continue visiting and commenting on blogs but just know it might not be every day.
Thank you to everyone who visits my blog...it truly touches my heart to read the comments you all leave.
I'm also counting down the days until Sam is home for his 2 week R&R. It was suppose to start tomorrow but they changed it and he will leave over there on the 19th. I can't wait!
Okay, enough rambling but now you know a bit more about what's happening in my world!
Have an amazing night!

busy busy! I've never taken a self defense class and honestly can't see myself doing Kung fu...I don't like doing things in front of people! I know what you mean about a routine...It always takes a little time so hang in there. I'll be doing the same thing starting at the end of next week! How exciting about Sam - you'll have a blast! Plus you'll be precelebrating your bday so exciting times for you ahead!!

I'm thrilled to hear that the kids both like school. That's awesome that you're starting a Kung Fu class. I admire you for getting out of your comfort zone and doing something new.

It was nice to read what's happening in your world. Kudos to you for signing up for that class. Let us know how that goes - I've never done anything like that. Blogging is wonderful, but it can be pretty time-consuming. You are such an encouragement to leave comments so faithfully. That is my goal, but I fall far short of keeping up like you do. Don't feel bad if you have to back off a bit - we all have demands and schedules that we have to balance with the "fun stuff." I just wanted to say thanks that you do all you do, and one of these days I'm really going to do one of your challenges. :)

Great for you volunteering at school. I love the parents that come in my classroom. If they can only listen to one child read for 15 min. It is a big help. Some little ones never are read to or have someone to read to them and that is so important. I'll bet that is what you and Belle do while you wait for Matthew. Your children really start early. What do they have for breaks and when do they get out of school. I guess your school have air. We start Sept 1 and it always turns out to be the hottest month of the year. Last year we got into the 90s. With no air very little get accomplished.
Thanks for the tip on the defense class. Sounds interesting.

O.K.

So when school starts back up here on August 17th for Piper and August 31st for Willow who is also Pre-K but from 8:30 to 12pm I am planning to set a Blog Visiting Schedule.

I really miss doing my rounds, but I know that I can never go to all my team mates and my other friends and favorites every day so I think I am going to do things like

Visit Flutter By girls Wednesday and Sundays

Twinkling girls Tuesdays and Thursdays

Etsy Girls Saturdays and Wednesdays

Things like that and then add certain friends in on each day too. Maybe this way I can hit more of my favorites more often then I have been able to, but not every day and if I like every thing they have created by visiting 2 or 3 times a week I could still comment on each post if I wanted to and had time to.

This summer I have been like doing no visiting and I had that I miss the comradery and stuff I got back when I did more visiting, but then again it also sucks that most people only come and visit you and leave you a comment when you leave them comments which leads me to wonder do they really like your stuff and want to be encouraging or are they only commenting on yours because you comment on theirs because when you go a few days and not comment then they quit commenting to???

You do what is good for you and Enjoy your time and enjoy your crafting and non crafting activities after all that is what Life is all about!!!! Not to stress over if we made it to all the blogs or not!!!!
