A 3 hour tour....

How many of you remember the show Gilligan's Island? I loved that show so much. Today the theme song came to mind as I was just soooo tired so after I took Belle to school I had an hour before my Kung Fu class. I told myself I just needed a "quick 15 minute power nap"....well, 3 hours later I woke up. Guess my body was telling me to rest. Luckily I got up in time to get the kids from school. And I'm heading to bed early tonight!

Many have asked so thought I'd update briefly. Sam is back in Iraq already. His flights went well. The kids are doing pretty good with the whole thing. I ,on the other hand, am having a harder time this time around. He spoiled me so much and we were together so much that it was really hard to let him go and the house seems so empty without him.
So yet another transistion starts. I'll be okay, always am, but just taking a bit longer this time to let my feelings run their course.

I have lots of images colored so hopefully I'll get them into cards soon. I also hope to get back into my scrapbooking more as I truly miss it.

Off to answer some emails and such. Had to share the birthday goodies that came today...all the stamps and paper are from Sam, images are from a dear friend! I'm excited to have my first Gorguss girl images!!

Have a great night and I'll see you back here in the morning for Flutter By Wednesday!! The post will go up a bit late so I can do the drawing to see who wins the blogcandy when I get up.

Edited to add....for those who liked my stamp storage idea..do not use the overhead projector sheets. I didn't realize they have acetate in them and therefore it's making a bond with the cling on the stamps which is making it hard to get on and off. I'm going to redo them all onto laminated cardstock of some sort...or something like that.

Hang in there! Easy for me to say, I know. I probably wouldn't be doing as well as you are if our positions were switched. You just have to think of it as 8 months will fly by and he will be back home before you know it! Plus with all those new goodies you will be coloring images for that long anyway! I'm thinking of you!

Oh hon, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad Sam made his trip safely. Take care of yourself and get lots of rest and then stamp and scrap all day when the kids are in school and that 8 months will fly by :) Love, K

It is hard to say goodbye to them I remember when my ex-husband went on a westpack tour in the navy -- I missed him so much! And it wasn't even war time.

Take your time to deal with it but know that he will be back sooner than you realize.

Blessings,
Christine
