I thought it would be fun to do a card using one of the Faerie Song Art stamps that was one of the stamp lines that drew me to her store to begin with.
Elly has always been one of my favorites and it was one of the first faeries I bought.
Before I get to my card I wanted to let you all know that Susana has selected Spellbinder dies on special~~click here to see them and order a few for yourself!
Also be sure to check out the new, fun, Bella baubles in stock!!
One more thing...we didn't get a full snow day, it was a 3 hour delay. Still bitter cold here for us but most of the snow is melted. My kids are still wishing for more snow though. LOL!
Okay onto my card. I used an older sketch from Mercy's Tuesday Sketches, sketch 46~ I just love this sketch!
- card size: 5 1/2 x 5 1/2
- stamps: Elly,
- paper: SU cardstock, Basic Grey Euphoria,
- ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU bashful blue,
- others: copics, nestabilities, sizzix texturz plate, baby blue stickles, Martha Stewart snowflake punch, glitter dots, glue dots,
I stamped Elly onto my cardstock twice with memento ink. I colored both images with my copics and then cut one image out. I popped the image I cut out on pop dots for some dimension. I used my nesties to cut out the image, sponged ink around the edges while the paper was still in the nestie and then picked out my paper. I used my sizzix polka daisies texturz plate on the white piece, it didn't emboss as deeply as I'd like, going to have to work on that. I used sponged ink to highlight the embossed areas. I paper pierced around the edges. I used some stickles for the berries on her hat and then some touches of copic glitter pens on her dress. To finish the card I just adhered everything and added a few embellishments.
