Happy Halloween

It seems like forever since I've created anything. I know it's only a few days but when you're use to creating every day, it just seems so long when you don't create.
I'm finally feeling okay. Still not great but okay. Most of the headache is finally gone so that's a good thing! LOL!
Hope you all have a fun, safe night tonight whether you celebrate Halloween or not. We are staying home and handing out candy--a first for us but the kids are so excited.
Thought I'd share a photo of me from Halloween's past..hehe. My kids didn't know who this was and they couldn't believe that Mom dressed up when she was little, because you know I'm ancient. LOL! I'm thinking this was around 6th grade and I loved it because my Mom crocheted the tail for me.

I thought it only fitting to use Whiskers from Paper Pretties with this photo..hehe!

coming soon...hopefully...

This week has just been so crazy with field trips, halloween parties and so on. To top it off, I got one of my not-so-nice headaches last night. I went to bed before 9, which is unheard of for me. I still have a bit of it this morning but I am so hoping it goes away.
Tonight is the kids fall festival at school where I am helping both teachers.
Anyhoo, I hope to have a new creation soon...so I do hope you come back!
Thanks for visiting me!!
Have a happy fluttering day!

Pippi

These Swiss Pixies are just too cute! I just got all of them and now I see there are more about to be released!! LOL!!
I thought Little Pippi would be a perfect pixie for this week's Flutter By Challenge. I also used this week's sketch from SCS, SC252.

I also wanted to add that since the holidays are right around the corner...I think that angels "flutter by" too so feel free to add angels to your creations for the holidays.

Be sure to check out my FAB flutter by team's creations on their blogs!! Links are on my sidebar!!

I got some fun new stamps and had ambitious dreams to create two cards for today but alas, I don't even have one. The field trip with Annabelle's class totally wiped me out and I wasn't ahead on my cards like I should be sooooo....I will hopefully have one for you tonight or tomorrow!!! So hope to see you soon!!

Sigh, I see Mister Linky is on vacation. Please just leave your link in the comments section until he returns. Hope he has a fruity drink for me!!

TIOT #41- Metal Musings

Our Try It Out Tuesday challenge this week is Metal Musings! Use metallic products/embellishments on your project (Smooch, Inspiration Paints, metal craft sheets, brads, eyelets, charms, etc).

Be sure to check out Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see how you can play along with us and also to see the other great creations by my fellow design team members.

I still am just in love with the latest release of Victoria Case for SCACD, The Winter Wonderland Collection, so I chose BFF's to work with today.
I can't remember where I saw this technique that I've been using lately of sponging the edges while the image is still in the nestibilities, but where ever I saw it, I love it!! (so thank you whomever gave me the idea!)

I guess I'm still thinking in terms of CAS (clean and simple) as this card qualifies but I just love how the adorable image stands out!

I also think I sort of lost track of the challenge as I was creating! LOL! Hopefully the team will forgive me as I didn't use much "metal" but I did use Smooch on the bells and the Primas Card Jewelry was just too perfect for this card so maybe it'll count!

supplies:
I won't be around to comment today. I'm off on Annabelle's first field trip with her! Then it's Kung Fu night for the kiddos so not much time today.
Thank you to all who commented on my post down below as well about comments. You all are so sweet!!

Another baby card!

My mom asked me if I could make a baby shower card for her. I, of course, said yes!! I rarely make those type of cards that I jump at the chance to create them.
So Mom---do you like this one or want me to make a different one??

Just a little note about comments.....

I have had a situation come up that really floored me. I had someone ask why sometimes I only leave a one word comment when I comment on their creations. They said it was like an insult.
Just know that I never, never mean to hurt anyone's feelings or insult them.
I spend between 2 and 3 hours most days commenting on blogs. Yes, I really do. I think I have close to 500 or more blogs in my google reader.
Therefore, I want to let people know that I have looked at their wonderful creations, but I just can't take the time to write a paragraph at each blog. Some days I don't even get to leave comments.
I truly enjoy looking at all the creations and inspiration out there in blogland and I know I love receiving comments so I try to return the favor.
Anyhoo, just thought I'd clarify why sometimes you might just get a one word comment from me and other days none at all....but yet other days if I have the time, I might write more.
Nothing was ever meant to be an insult!

Paper Garden's Fourth Friday Fun Challenge--Bring on the bling!!

Paper Garden Projects is starting a fun new challenge, Fourth Friday Fun Challenge!! Their first challenge is to Bring on the Bling!! I can do that!! LOL!!
After I got this done I thought of lots I should've done to it. Do any of you do that?
I was thinking I should've paper pierced it or sewn it like one of the many stamping idols I have, Jodi. Or finished the inside...which I may go back and do. Sigh...next time..LOL!

Makeup 4 the Weekend-- color challenge

I don't know how some of you talented crafters do it! I see these gorgeous cards with several challenges all in one card. My brain just doesn't do well with combining all the great challenges out there....if I do, it's usually pure accident. LOL!
I also don't know how you all decide which challenges to do. I was caught up with my projects for the week so I thought I'd participate in some challenges this weekend~ my goodness, there are so many great challenges out there that my head started to spin!!
I finally did eeny meany miney moe and decided to start with the Paper Makeup Challenge for the week~~ Makeup 4 the Weekend. It's a color challenge this week~ black, white, orange and purple.
Here's what I came up with~ I must admit I am not pleased with this at all. I have decided I am not smart enough to work a trimmer. Sigh. I just can't get straight cuts and then I hack at the image until there's nothing left. Sigh. I have one last hope, I'm going to purchase a guillotine trimmer next. If that doesn't work, I give up. LOL!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Play Along Monday #13--on Friday

I told Karen that I would do my best to play along with her Play Along Monday challenge this week. Since I was caught up on my projects I decided to give it a try.
This week's challenge is a diaper fold pouch. When I started to create this I had no idea what I would use it for but as it evolved I decided it's going to be a type of mailbox for the kids. They can check it daily to see if there is anything in it for them, like bookmarks, candy, cards, etc. Just little somethings. I won't put stuff in it every day but I think it'll be fun.

My dog, Heidi is doing so much better! We got her some medicine at the vet's and she is really recovering nicely. Belle is back to normal as well. Me, on the other hand, decided to fall down my stairs on Monday and well, I'm so very sore...okay but sore. Geesh, if it's not one thing, it's another, huh?

Here's my creation for the week~ it really looked better in my head but it's growing on me.

TIOT #40- Table Time

Our challenge this week was Table Time! Create something for the holiday (fall or winter) table--place settings cards, menus, favors, centerpieces, etc!
Be sure to visit Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see the other design team members fabulous projects and also to see how you can play along!
I decided to use several images from the latest Victoria Case for SCACD release, The Winter Wonderland Collection.
I thought that this coaster box, would make a fun centerpiece for a winter table. You could fill it with peppermints, flowers, chocolate kisses, etc.
I had planned on going to the store to get something fun to fill this with but my Belle has been running a fever and I didn't really want to take her out so I used this to put some hot chocolate packets in. I thought it might be fun if you lived somewhere it was really cold to have this on the table after playing in the snow along with a tea pot of hot water and you could warm up!!

supplies:
stamps: Winter, Cocoa Puff, Snow Fun, Skater,
paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses,
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black,

Sweet Cocoa Puff

It's here!! Release day!! Head on over to Susana's store (after 6am PST) and order your wonderful Victoria Case for SCACD Winter Wonderland Collection!! These are all just so cute and so perfect for so many projects-- you need them all!!
Today I want you to meet Cocoa Puff. Isn't she a doll? I just adore her hanging out having some hot cocoa! I thought she needed to have some hot cocoa to go with her so I made a little gift bag topper as well with some instant hot cocoa mix for a nice little gift.
Be sure to visit all the other talented design team members to see their creations today! I know they'll be fantastic and inspiring! All their links are on my sidebar.

Belle was very upset with me that I was NOT using the colors she wanted me to use so I let her color an image too. Here's her version~
For those who are visiting for the first time, Belle (Annabelle) is my 5 year old daughter. She watches me more than I think, do you see that she edged her design in black....just like I ink so many edges of my cards.

supplies:
card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
stamps: Cocoa Puff, TAC Little Curls,
paper: SU cardstock, Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses,
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMagic Cloud White,
others: copics, SU Top Note Die, Petaloo Dazzlers, copic glitter pens, Snickerdoodle Smooch, champagne stickles, frosted lace stickles,

For those of you who have emailed me, I took Heidi to the vet yesterday and we think she has a sprain in her leg as well as severe arthritis. At this point we're trying medicine and rest for 10 days and then, if she shows no improvement we'll do xrays and follow up. She does seem to be feeling better so I'm hopeful. Thanks for the concern for my sweet Heidi.

Victoria Case for SCACD Winter Wonderland Blog Hop

I'm so excited that today is finally here! I've been dying for these CUTE Victoria Case for SCACD Winter Wonderland Collection to be revealed! I think this is one of my most favorite releases yet!!

If you're starting here, you need to go to Susan's blog to start at the beginning of the hop! After you see her amazing creation, come back here! Then once you are done here, hop on over to Suzanne's blog to see what magnificent project she has to show you!!

These stamps will be released tomorrow at Susana's store! You will NEED to have these!!
Now onto what you came here for..to see the cute images! I have the sheer delight of introducing Winter to you! Isn't she a doll? and look at that cute puppy~~ you know I love puppies!!

For this blog hop we had a twist to follow...we had to create a project with our wonderful images. With the holidays coming, there are so many things you could use these for~~treat bags and tags, notepads, etc.

I think it's no secret that I struggle with projects but I tried to approach this one with optimism as I simply adore the stamps so I figured it would be fun. Well, then my head felt like it was going to explode with the possibilities so I finally decided on one..LOL! I took an empty clamshell case that some of my TAC stamps came in--but you could use any sort of little box--and I decorated it and made some gift tags to go inside. ( I got this idea from my dear friend, Michelle, just she used the smaller clamshell box) You can't see very well from the photos but I stamped pink and blue snowflakes ,that come with the entire sheet of these awesome images, on the tags.

supplies:
box size: 4 1/2 x 3 1/2
stamps: Winter,
paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses,
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMagic Pixie Dust, VersaMagic Sea Breeze,
others: copics, glitter clean up cloth, copic glitter pens, corner rounder, sugar sparkly fluff, CM fine tip markers, Polar White flower soft, Cricut tags, bags and boxes cartridge, ribbon,

Be sure to follow the hop onto Suzanne's blog and also be sure to come back tomorrow to see more projects with these adorable stamps!
