The Beginning and The End

Starting this post on February 13th, 2012--the first day of my Copic class with Created From Color. I’m so excited to see what I’ll learn in this class!! Fun!!

Our homework this first day is to color an image in the style we use now and then at the end of the class we’ll color it again using the skills we learn! So I thought this would be a good post to make to show the difference--and also keep track of the colors I use.

The image I’m using is one that exclusive to class members, as we were able to buy her in a kit, this is Celebration Mae- (Kristy who is the artist/owner of Some Odd Girl is one of the teachers of the class)

Copics used- cheeks-R20, R30, skin- E000, E00, E11, hair-E53, E50, Y23, eyes- B16, B14, white pen, dress- R85, R83, R81, 100, barrette-R85, shoes-E43, E42, E41, shadow-BG10, C1

Our class is over and now it’s time to color the same image again with the new skills we’ve learned. I really enjoyed the class as many (most) of the techniques were completely opposite of how I originally learned so it was fun to figure out what works for me.

I still have work to do on lots of the techniques but it’ll come with practice.

Their is just a slight difference, I prefer you hair colour on the first day, and what is just different is the structure of her nose and the highlights on her skin tones.... But hey Danni you still did great even without the classes....

Both colorings are really beautiful! Thanks for popping by to see me...I'm so glad you mentioned the granny on looney tunes! I kept thinking the lady looked familiar but couldn't put my finger on it until I read your comment! :)
