Dutch Dare Card Challenge #166

I haven’t played along with a challenge for a while so I thought maybe I’d find a few to play along with this weekend. The first one to catch my eye was The Dutch Dare Card Challenge #166 which is a sketch~

I decided to use my newest Pure Innocence Giraffe Girl. I think she’s a doll. For once I made sure she’d fit in my nestabilities oval before I started, I don’t know how many times I set out to do a sketch and then choose an image too big for the circle/oval. LOL! I have to admit I had an ulterior motive for choosing this stamp…when I was doing the Basic Grey week I found the cutest giraffe/flamingo paper in the Basic Grey Sugared paper so I just “had” to pair it up with Giraffe Girl!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with my copics and ShinHan Art Touch Twin Markers. I also masked her and sponged some ink to add a little more depth/interest. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black also.
To finish the card I added some buttons, scrappers floss, and stickles! I also found an older Cuttlebug embossing border so I tried it out. Amazing what you find when you look around in your crafty area!
Have a great day! and for my US friends, Happy Memorial Day--remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Adorable!! Love the paper choice and the subtle embossing. I have the borders and don't think I've used them yet. I like how you used it though!

Cute card and beautifully colored. Plus, another wonderful use of older Basic Grey paper. You do realize that now you can get some more, newer BG pads, right?

You should be pleased to know that I, too, choose images that are too big for the Nestabilities die I had planned to use.
