Blog Readers

You may or may not of heard but Google Reader is closing down in July. If you don't know what that is, then you probably won't be affected by it. LOL! Basically it's a place to read all your blogs in one place and it only shows the blogs that are updated. A VERY handy tool and one that I just love.

I was so sad to hear it was closing and freaked out a bit but after looking around, I have found a few other sites that are similar. I am leaning towards the feedly or bloglovin to replace Google reader for me. I follow over 1800+ blogs so this is sort of a big deal to me.

Just passing on the sites in case anyone else needs the information. I did read that Feedly will continue after Google reader shuts down, as will Netvibes. I couldn't find any info on Bloglovin.  All of these are very easy to import all your blogs from Google reader into.

Hope that this information helps a bit.  Have a good night! I have a card to share tomorrow but for now I'm heading to chillax!!

I am freaking out too Danni! Tried Feedly but it was so slow. A techie guru highly recommended Netvibes. I'm not going to make any hasty decisions since we have until July. In the meantime I am going to clean up my reader as I was already doing that when google made the announcement. Then I'll worry about migrating to some other spot.

i read all my blogs from my blogger dashboard the only ones that do not show up in that feed are the ones that i follow that are wordpress. so is this the format they are shutting down?
