FBW #96--Love

The theme for this week's Flutter By Challenge is Love. I must say, I think my "love" is for all the wonderful people who have been participating!! We went over 100 participants this last week! Wow! Thank you all!!

I went through my images that I already had colored and found this Sarah Kay image and thought it would be perfect for "love". And then I saw Stella ( I think she's a fairy, isn't she?) already colored too so I thought, why not! So for once, I have not one but two cards for you today!!
Am I forgiven for not having a card last week?

supplies:
  • card sizes: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, 4x4
  • stamps: image from RAK (A Kiss for Chloe), Stella doing a balancing act,
  • paper: SU designer paper, K & Company Sweet Talk mat pad, SU cardstock,
  • ink:
  • others: prismacolors, OMS, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, heart rhinestones, Sassy Pink Smooch, copic glitter pens, stardust pens, stickles, SU photo corner punch,  Kaisercraft rhinestones,
Have a happy fluttering day!

Try It Out Tuesday #54

Our challenge today is to create a Valentine with lots of reds, pinks and purples.

Be sure to check out Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see how you can play along and also to see the other fantastic creations by the other design team members.

I haven't used any of my Anki's Sweetheart stamps lately and thought Emilia with heart would make a perfect Valentine. I used a sketch from SCS, SC241.

No card today

No card to share today but I have been working on some for later in the week!
I went over to a friends yesterday and had so much fun. I took some of my punches and some of my scraps and sat and punched out flowers, hearts and flutter by's! It was something that was sort of a "duh" moment for me...I have the punches, have the scraps but rarely use them together.  It was just fun!
Today I'm excited as I got my order from Susana's store!! Have you visited her store lately? I'm excited about the new stuff I got like~
Fun stuff and there's more coming to her store soon so be sure to check it out often!
I also got my order from MFT--more Pure Innocence stamps and the new Jolinne stamps!!
Also don't forget to check out the PMS blog often this month for fun stuff to celebrate PMS turning 1!!

Okay, I'm outta here to go play with some new goodies!!

Slow and steady

Ever since I first laid eyes on this cute turtle I envisioned him paper pieced so that's what I did with him tonight!! although I think I turned him into a her..LOL!
I used a fun sketch from Card Patterns, Sketch 50. I couldn't get the strip across the middle to work for me so I just left it off.

I use to take the time to decorate the insides of cards and lately I've gotten lazy. Sparkle mentioned that is how she uses some of her scraps up is by decorating the inside so I thought I would start trying to do that again. Thanks Sparkle!

Scraps!

I've been creating today but can't share it with you quite yet..hehehe! I hope to get a card or two done tonight to share though.
I was chatting with Michelle today and she said she was probably going to share a photo of her scraps so I said I'd show mine too. Although, this is very deceiving as I have them hidden everywhere...LOL! Seriously I don't throw any of them away, yes I know I have a problem. LOL!
So here ya go:
This is misc. cardstock--not SU

This is the SU scraps

This is designer paper--and then when it got full and you'll see what I started doing in the next photo

Now I just keep the scraps with the paper it came with--like stuck in my Basic Grey pads
And I might have a few pads...this is only one section of my paper storage so you can imagine the scraps that are tucked away...
Yeah, I have a problem. LOL! Now off to USE some of those scraps

Lollipops!

I'm squeaking in with this card as I think the challenge ends today but regardless, it sounded fun!
The challenge comes from Crazy 4 Challenges and is to use lollipops in your creations! I thought it would be the perfect time to ink up my cute 60's Tilda!

Makeup 4 The Weekend #15

Lookie!! Finally at the end of the week I have a challenge done on time, LOL!!
This week's Makeup 4 The Weekend is my challenge with two of my favorite things...the color pink and sparkle!!
Be sure to check out the PMS blog to see how you can play along and to see what the other makeup artists came up with!
It was hard to choose what image to work with as I love them all but I decided on Moody For Love. Don't those hearts just scream pink and sparkle??
I used a layout from Mojo Monday from 2009, week 69.

Retail Therapy is good for the soul

Nothing makes a gal more happy than peanut butter cookies, Dr. Pepper, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and LOTS of retail therapy! Well, at least this gal!
Our tax refund check hit the bank and while I was going to be good..well, that went out the window but I do think this is my last spree for a long while.
I thought I'd start out my SCRAPS weekend with a fun MFT set that I've never inked up..so sad.

I am pretty sure my friends are playing along this weekend too...be sure to visit them and leave them some love!!

Check it out!!

I know, I know, I said I was taking a break today but I just had to share the new goodies I spied at Susana's store!!!

Stressed is Desserts spelled backwards..

I'm harder on myself than anyone else is and I feel totally overwhelmed at the moment.
So instead of stressing myself out more...I'm taking a day off...to kind of regroup a bit and find my groove again.
Be sure to visit Kimberly to see her A Touch Of Christmas card for today!
This weekend's "theme" is Scraps!! Use up those scraps you have lying around! I know mine are taking over!
I'll be back tomorrow but for now..I hear some peanut butter cookies calling my name......
