Winter's Joy

One of the things I'm having fun with is trying to ink up my older stamps that either haven't seen ink or haven't been used in a long time. This is one of those that has never seen ink--{gasp}.

I think that this stamp was one of my first purchases from Whimsy Stamps years ago. I guess it's true, I'm a Whimsy Stamps addict..LOL..I don't want a cure though as I just love their stamps!!

This is Winter's Joy by Crissy Armstrong. And let's not even talk about the color combo I used. I have no idea where it came from. LOL! At first I wasn't sure it was going to work but now seeing the finished card I like it!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~
Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone is staying warm. This winter season is already off to a cold start for us. Thinking of all my friends in the Buffalo area too with all that!! Be safe!!

Spread your wings and fly!

I am cutting this one VERY close to get entered into the challenge I created it so short and sweet tonight!

Just got this stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie called Feathers and Fur. Love it!! I still have a long way to go in coloring animals but I tried. I don't think the parrot looks too bad, maybe.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~
Have a fabulous night!! I have tomorrow off with no plans so hopefully I'll be back with more crafty goodness soon!

The stamp is from Kraftin' Kimmie and is in a stamp set called Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. So cute, right??  Paper is from the Basic Grey Sweet Threads paper pad I'm working on using up.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~
Have a wonderful day! Sam should be home in about an hour or so! Yay! and I have tomorrow off too so we can spend the day together as a family..double ya!!

Celeste Amberglow Owl Always Love You

I wasn't sure what I wanted to create today but I knew I wanted to create so I grabbed my folder of printed digis and this sweetie just called out to be colored up and put on a card.

She is Celeste Amberglow Owl Always Love You and is a digi from Little Miss Muffet. The sentiment is from an old TAC set I had. I think she turned out cute. This card also uses some of my Basic Grey Sweet Threads paper that I'm working on using up. I also used some punches by SU.

I'm entering this into the following challenges~
Hope you have a fabulous Friday! I have the day off with no plans except to do whatever I want!! I am hoping to craft but also might start a new book. Alyce from Kit & Clowder is starting a book club (on Facebook) and the first book has been chosen so I thought I might try to join in.

Thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate it!

Winter Coat

Today I have a card for you using one of the newly released stamps from Whimsy Stamps, Winter Coat by Time For Tea Designs. What an awesome stamp!

I'm rather proud of my coloring on this stamp as I tried a new color combo for the reds. I've always struggled with reds and so when Crissy Armstrong offered me some advice on coloring them, I took it!! (check out her card HERE using reds, isn't it amazing!!)  I've never been brave enough to really use some of the darker reds but I can see now the depth it brings so hopefully I'll practice more and get better.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~
Have a wonderful Wednesday!! I have some errands to run but I'm hoping to get one or two more cards done. I'm loving having more days off and loving that my mojo is here!!

Howdy!! Hope today finds everyone doing great! We're getting our first glimpse of winter--cold and windy with a chance of a "wintery mix". I really do like winter, but it does take a bit to adjust to the cold.

After I finished my Echo Park Springtime 6x6 paper pad, I decided to challenge myself. My challenge to myself is to finish 9 more 6x6 paper pads and then I can get a new one! I am cheating a bit by choosing paper pads that are partially used but regardless, I'm up for the challenge and for having fun!

The next paper pad I'm working on using up is my Basic Grey Sweet Threads. There isn't much left to it as far as full sheets but tons of scraps so this really could be a challenge!

Today's card uses that paper and a digi from Whimsy and Stars Studio-Mabelle RO- called Zoey. I tried to find it in her digi shop but didn't see it.

I also used a sentiment and die from Whimsy Stamps- Fluttering By and Butterfly Frame Die

I have to say that I really love how this one came out. I don't always like my cards but this one will be hard to part with!

The sketch I used is one I had saved to my computer and I'm not quite sure where it came from to give credit.

Have a simply wonderful day!! and thanks for stopping by!!

Pixie Dust

I totally loved having fun coloring this digi from Saturated Canary named Pixie Dust. She's sort of a funky little fairy, isn't she?

I loved how she turned out when I was done coloring but then I almost threw her away once I did the background. Blech. I do not like how it turned out at all. But I guess if you don't try new things and different things you'll never know if you like them or not, right?

The sentiment is from a stamp set I have from A Muse. I think my friend, Kristie was right about the Inlinkz product lists--I spend more time linking things up and finding them than it's really worth. I'm still trying to figure out how I want to share my supply lists--if I even want to--but always know you can just shoot me an email anytime if you have questions.

I just signed up for Alyce's Animal Class from Kit & Clowder. I'm excited to learn more about coloring animals as that is something I struggle with a lot. You can check it out HERE!

Thanks for stopping by!! I really appreciate it so much! Have a happy day!

It's gone!!!

I did it!! I did it!! LOL! No, I haven't lost my mind, well maybe but that's a whole 'nother post!

What I "did" is I used up an entire 6x6 paper pad!! Yup, with this card it is gone! Woo-hoo! I truly think this is the first one I've ever completely used up. Now to work on some others...but I'll celebrate this victory first!

I think I counted 22 cards that I got out of the Echo Park Springtime paper pad. Not too shabby!!

For my card today I used a digi from Some Odd Girl called Daffodil Fairy. I think she's a cutie!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm so excited for tonight as Sam and I are going on a date!! The zoo is having a comedy night which should be a blast!!

You Rock!

A friend of mine was asking for cards and letters to help encourage a 6 year old boy who was being bullied for being a "nerd". This made me so sad that they are starting so young with the bullying so of course, I had to send a little something.

I made this card using the Smarty Pants stamp set from Kraftin' Kimmie and then used part of the sentiment from the Whimsy Stamps sentiment set, The Fun Life Tickets.

I just hope it brings a smile to his face and hopefully he'll realize how wonderful it is to be a nerd and that the other kids are just jealous!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Winter Princess

Last month I found out I had been featured as a Spotlight Winner at Crafting By Designs Challenge Blog. You can see that post~ HERE!  I was honored to find out that because I was one of the Spotlight Winners, I was asked to be a guest designer for their November 5th challenge of Anything Goes!! How fun is that!!

For my card I used the Whimsy Stamp, Winter Princess from artist, Art by Miran. I also used the Whimsy Shapeology Die-Winter's Jewel 1. I think it's just such a pretty snowflake!!

A big thanks to Crafting By Designs for having me as a guest designer! Be sure to go check them out and why not play along with their Anything Goes Challenge!
