Try It Out with a "T" #87

For our challenge today we were to create a fun fall themed gift. I'll admit it, I was NOT in the mood to create a project. But I thought about it and came up with a little something. Hehe!

Be sure to visit Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see what the other design team members came up with!

For my gift I created little tags to put on Tootsie Roll Pops using the newly released Little Acorns by Victoria Case for SCACD. (Only a few Tootsie Pops were eaten during the making of this gift..LOL)

Okay, so the plan got altered a bit when my Belle came in to see what I was working on and saw a few of the Mini Little Acorns colored and cut out..her eyes lit up and she asked "are you making paper dolls for me?"  Seriously, I couldn't tell her no...so we went to the store and got the craft sticks and now she has her own set of Mini Little Acorn paper dolls.

As we were finishing up, Belle decided she's going to have a story about the Mini Little Acorns. Here she is with the title...

and here she is with all her new puppets...

and here they are by themselves....

Try It Out With a "T" #86

Our challenge today is Grrrranimals! Use an image that has an animal on it and also add some fun texture.

Be sure to visit Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see what the other design team members came up with.

I really wanted to use one of the newest images by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD that were just released so I'm "stretching" the challenge a bit and saying that the sweet little teddy bear is my animal. Hehe! My texture comes from adding some flower soft to one set of the flowers.

Try It Out with a "T" #85--on Sunday

We skipped posting our Try It Out with a "T" challenge on Tuesday this week as Susana had the store down for maintenance and so she could take a wee bit of time off. But we're back now and ready to go!

Our challenge this week is Switcheroo--take an image that isn't a holiday image and make it usable for fall or winter holidays.

Don't forget to enter the fabulous blog candy while you're at the store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see all the other design team members creations.

I decided to use the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD image, New Friends, and made an autumn card.

I used the sketch from Cute Card Thursday #131.

Try it out with a "T" #83

Today our challenge is a fun one~ 2x2x2~ 2 fun products, 2 papers, 2 embellishments!

Be sure to visit Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see what the other design team members created! (and remember to check on Thursday as well to see the other half of the team's creations).

I decided to use an Elisabeth Bell for SCACD stamp, Heartstrings, from the Sampler Edition #3. For my 2 fun products, I used copic glitter pens and Smooch Illuminate. My 2 papers come from the Basic Grey Oliva 6x6 pad. My 2 embellishments are Prima flowers and a Prima Butterfly. I sort of cheated too, and added some pearls made from my Viva Decor Pearl Pen too. Shhhh, don't tell!

I'm also entering this into the Copic Creations Challenge #34~ Pleats or Folds. I must say that I just love how this turned out! I keep looking at it and thinking, "Did I really color that?" LOL!

Try it out with a "T" #82

This week's challenge was a super easy one! Use 3 products from Susana's store as well as a stamp from her store!

Be sure to visit the store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see what the other design team members created!

I had to ink up another one of the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Animapeeps! They are just too cute!! I chose Spot of Tea to work with today. I thought it also fitting to use the Tea at Elsie's Collection of paper too! I used some Prima flowers and then colored them with my copic and then sprayed them with Psstt Shimmer Spritz. I used my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen for the little pearls.

I used Sketch Saturday's Sketch for the week, Sketch #118.

supplies:
Oh my word!! You MUST see the new stamp line that Susana is carrying now!! Way too cute! I can not wait to order these!

Try It Out with a "T" #81

**Please be sure to scroll down for my first post of the day! Thanks!**

Our challenge today is Stencil It! Use either Dreamweaver stencils or Crafter's Workshop Templates on our projects! So many fun ways to use them~ with embossing pastes, micas, Viva Decor products and etc.!

If in doubt, there are some great videos by design team member, Marti to give you some ideas~~ herehere, here, and  here.

Be sure to visit Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see what the other design team members came up with! I know they'll knock your socks off!!

I started by taking my template, taping one corner to hold it in place (as I knew I'd be cutting it down in size) onto my cardstock and then I sponged on several different colors of ink.

Next I took my Copic 0.3 Multiliner and outlined all the "white" spaces. (Note-if you do this, cut down your cardstock first so you don't do some of this detailed work for nothing...take my word for it).

After I outlined the entire piece (note, very time consuming but it looks awesome) then I cut it down to the size I wanted for my card. (Would've made more sense to do this first but you know, sometimes we learn as we go!)

I decided on a 5x5 size as I just had to show off how pretty this looks!! Next I attached this piece to some black cardstock, sort of as a base/mat. Next came the really fun part...we all know I love sparkle so I took my Viva Decor Holographic Liner and went to town adding sparkle to parts of this background.

I must admit the next step was the hardest for me...hehe...setting the piece aside and letting it dry. Hehe! Once it had dried, I just couldn't bring myself to cover up any of the flowers so I just added some ribbon and some butterflies with Viva Decor Glitter liner on them as well to make a card.

Try It Out with a "T" #80

Today our challenge was to use any new Victoria Case for SCACD Aurora 2 Collection stamp and also Flower Soft!

Be sure to visit Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see the other wonderful design team member's creations!

As I sat here sweating in this summer heat, I saw my Autumn Flower Soft and decided it would be nice to dream of cooler days and do a more autumn themed card. I used the sweet Aurora stamp, Bee Mine.

I used an older SCS sketch, SC255 for the inspiration for the layout.

supplies:
While you're over at Susana's shopping, be sure to add some of the new Cuttlebug embossing folders into your cart!! These look sooo much fun! I know I'll be ordering some soon!

Try It Out with a "T" #79

Our challenge today is a color challenge~ use pink, green and blue and also use Viva Decor products!!

Be sure to visit Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see what the other design team members came up with!!

I used another new image from the latest Victoria Case for SCACD Aurora 2 Collection release~ Out on the town. Aurora sure is stylish in this release!!

I used a sketch from last week's Papertake Weekly Challenge; sketch #45.
I had fun with my Viva Decor products! I used my Sunny Yellow Gloss Gel pen on the flower that Aurora is holding, for the middle of the flowers on Aurora I used my Viva Decor Glitter Liner. For Aurora's hair I added touches of Sapphire Light Blue Glitter Liner. For the pearls around the image I used my Ice White Pearl Pen. And as a final touch I used my Light Blue Pearl Pen for the pearls in the center of the flowers.

Here's the sketch~

Here's what I came up with~
I used one of the latest Elisabeth Bell for SCACD releases called Flower Power. She just looks so carefree to me...ahhh...
For some sparkle, as you know I love sparkle, I used some copic glitter pens on her vines in her hair and also on her belt. On the flowers I used Viva Decor Glitter Liner.

Try It Out with a "T" #75

***Please be sure to scroll down and see my sneak peek for PMS!!****

Today's challenge is Crazy Quilts! Patchwork Quilts and Faux Sewing! Create a patchwork background on your cards with real or faux sewing stitches.

Be sure to check Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see how you can play along and also to see the other design team members creations. Don't forget to check it on Thursday as well to see the rest of the teams creations!

I have to admit, I wasn't too sure of what patchwork was so I got some great inspiration in the SCS gallery, I really liked these cards~ Retirement Quilt, Apples and Patchwork, Viva La Verve You Can Do It, Patched Top Note, Patchwork Family and so many more!

Here's my attempt at it~~ I started by taking my scraps of designer paper and punching them into 1 1/4 squares, then I adhered them to my black cardstock and then cut out a top note from that. I was pleased when it worked, LOL!

I wanted an image that I could cut out and place on the "patchwork" so I looked through my stamps and decided to use Oh Baby, from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD, Sampler #3.

To make her stand out a bit more I put a white nestabilities die cut behind her. I did some faux sewing around the patchwork. Of course I had to have some sparkle and shimmer so I added some Sky Blue Creative Inspiration Paint to her dress, and some stickles to her flowers on her headband.

I was going to add some "more" to the card, maybe flowers or pearls or such but then decided I really liked it simple showing off that sweet baby so I left it as is.

Try It Out with a "T" 74

It's time for another Try It Out Tuesday (and Thursday)! This week Suzanne gave us a wonderful sketch to follow!

Be sure to check out Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see how you can play along and also to check out the other team members creations!

Here's the sketch~

There was no doubt what stamps I would choose from for this sketch, I had to ink up some more of the latest Elisabeth Bell for SCACD images! Did you order yours? If not, better head on over and get them!!

I decided to use cutie patootey Howdy for my card today. I wanted her to have some dimension so I stamped her twice and cut one image out and popped it up on pop dots.

Try It Out Tuesday #73

Our challenge today is to use weaving on our projects!! Be sure to check out how you can play along and all the other design team members creations--here!

While you're there, don't forget to enter the blog candy!! Remember the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD release is this Friday!!

I was a little stumped at this challenge but then I thought about some of the suggestions Suzanne had given us~~weave ribbon--cardstock--scrappers floss--thread--etc for a background or an embellishment.

I took the easier route and used some ribbon to weave. I used an Elisabeth Bell for SCACD image, Susan

For my butterflies I used the Maya Road Mini Chipboard Butterfly set and sprayed one of them with the new Maya Road Mist--very nice mist!! I used Metallic Amethyst, really pretty! Can't wait to order more! For the other two butterflies I used my Smooch Spritz in Grape Burst and Silver Foil. I must say that the Maya Road Mist works much better on the chipboard.

LOL! I got this card all completed and then realized I forgot the weaved ribbon..maybe another day! LOL! At least I have a card to share!

I will be MIA for a few days as far as visiting blogs and commenting as Sam's mom is visiting us. I'll still have some goodies for you to look at though!!

Try It Out Tuesday #71

Time for another Try It Out Tuesday challenge!! Remember that we split our team so half of us post on Tuesday and the others post on Thursday~~ so be sure to check out both days! Won't you play along? Just remember to use a stamp that Susana carries in her store!

Welcome to the new team members~ Elaine, Lori, Jacquie and Alex!

Our challenge today was to create a Father's Day project~~ make them masculine and for a Dad. Be sure to check out Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see the other design team members creations and to see how to play along!

I decided to use Lazy Days from the latest Victoria Case for SCACD release for my card. I figure it could be a Father's Day card from a little girl. Yeah, that's what I'm going with. LOL!! I had Annabelle help me by writing inside the card for me..hehe! I also kept it fairly simple as I figure most Dad's wouldn't want alot of frills.

I won't be around much the next few days as my Dad and Step-mom and my half sister are here visiting so I want to spend time with them. I still have some posts ready to go for ya though!! Have a great day!

Try It Out Tuesday #70

Our challenge today was to use one of the fab new Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts and Hugs Summer Collection images to create a fun summertime invitation and we were to use the colors red, white and blue!

Be sure to check out Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see how you can play along (remember to use a stamp that Susana carries in her store) and also to see the other design team members creations.

I must admit that I didn't follow the challenge exactly. My card isn't a true invitation but I just had to use the image, A puppy is love, since we're bringing home our new puppy today from the pound! So I guess we could call this an invitation to meet our new puppy, Daisy, as I'll share photos of her once she's home!! hehehe!!

I also used Taylored Expressions Sketch from Saturday, Sketch #115.

Here's my card~~
