August Calendar

Almost forgot to do my calendar page this month until I kept looking at July and realized it wasn’t July anymore!!
Kept it super simple this month, just stamped a cute House Mouse/Happy Hoppers stamp- Bunny Cruise in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and colored with my prismacolors.

July Calendar page..finally!

Better late than never! Here’s my calendar page for July~
I was feeling very “simple” so I used my TAC Stars and Stamps and just colored with markers and a few touches with my stardust pen.

Have a great day!! Mine has been fabulous so far….went shopping for a smaller size capri/shorts and found out I can fit into a size 14!! I can’t remember the last time I was in 14’s!! and it’s another goal met!

June Calendar

I still can’t believe it’s June already!! Crazy! That means it’s time for another calendar page! Be sure to check out the other calendar gals~ Christine, Julie, Lisa and Tangii.
All my calendar pages this year have featured the Pure Innocence Flower Girls from MFT but I decided to mix it up this month and stick with my bike theme. I used my TAC Toodles set for this month. Also added touches with my TAC Dotty Flowers set too.
I was in a “keep it simple” mood so not much to it but it makes me smile so that’s all that matters!

Hello 2012!

Happy New Year!! I hope that 2012 is a fabulous year for us all!
New Year’s Day always brings a mix of emotions, saying goodbye to another year and then saying hello to all the possibilities of the new year…always a bit bittersweet.
2011 was a pretty good year for me. Moving to Washington, meeting new people, seeing new things…always exciting! I must say that I truly miss El Paso though and all the friends there. I’m so thankful for the internet which allows us to be in touch almost daily via Facebook.
I always like to see how I faired with my goals from the previous year, some I did pretty well with and I see some are the same goals I want for 2012. I also looked back for my “word” of the year, and I think I did pretty well with that. My new word for 2012 is Rediscover. There are so many things that I have put on the back burner because of my stamping, I miss them and really want to take time for them again. Much easier said than done though as stamping seems to consume me..LOL!
The quick list of my goals for 2012~
  • continue on my journey to a healthier me! For those that don’t know, I am taking baby steps towards this and the first thing I did was give up my beloved Dr. Pepper and soda on October 14, 2011---still going strong with none but I sure do miss it.
  • work to build my Scentsy business
  • continue to send out RAK’s and donate cards to organziations
  • scrapbook
  • read
There are more, some are silly ones like get a manicure/fake nails--just because I’ve never done it, but those are the main ones.
Onto my calendar page for January! I downloaded this calendar template <HERE> and also got inspiration from fellow blogger friend, Tammi.  The calendar gals will have theirs up to so be sure to visit them and leave some love~
Last year MFT introduced the Pure Innocence Flower Girls--cutie pie little girls for each month of the year with that month’s flower. I have gotten almost all of them so what better use for them than to make my calendar with them!
Here’s my January calendar using Pure Innocence Carnation--which is one of my most favorite flowers!

I used one of my TAC sets that was designed by Mabelle RO. I think she fit perfectly in the space of the calendar and will make me smile through out the month.

June Calendar

**scroll down for my Flutter By Wednesday post!!**
At the beginning of the year I had mentioned I wanted to do a calendar page each month and Sam is going to make me a holder for them. Well, life happened and I forgot/got sidetracked and haven’t made any.
I was tickled when my blogging friend, Christine emailed me recently and reminded me about the calendar pages (she’s my inspiration for them) and asked me to join her and a few other bloggers who post the calendars on the first of every month! I said yes and then I checked out the other bloggers..wow…talk about talent!! I have to admit I feel a bit intimidated by them all!
You can check them out for yourself~ Christine, Kathyrn, Julie, Tangii, Monique, and Lisa!
Anyhoo, here’s my June calendar page~probably way more CAS than the other ladies but I like it. Although after I had it finished, I remembered about the holes to hang it by, not sure where they’ll go—will have to wait until I get my stand.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!! I hope that all your wishes and dreams come true in this brand new year!!

This year is one of change for me. With our move coming up at the end of the month, that brings a new home, a new climate, new friends, new things to see....I'm so excited!!

I don't make resolutions per se, but instead yearly goals. I was pleased to read back on last years post--January 1, 2010 to see that I did achieve some of my goals!

Here's my goals for this year~
  • Continue to grow my TAC business by holding FUNshops, classes and online
  • Attend TAC seminar in June
  • Continue to improve my coloring skills
  • Be more diligent on getting RAK's out each month
  • Scrapbook! Scrapbook! Scrapbook!!
  • Read!
  • Calendar and recipe pages monthly--more on that in a bit
  • Stick to my crafty allowance--use what I have!
  • Get outside and do more things with my family
Do you have any goals/resolutions?? Best of luck in all you set out to achieve!

Onto today's creation~ My sweet friend, Christine, has truly inspired me! She has been creating calendar pages and recipe cards that are too, too wonderful so I thought I'd follow in her footsteps and make myself a calendar and also start making recipe cards with our favorite recipes! Sam is going to make me little stands for both of these when we move too!

I liked the calendar template at Taylored Expressions so that is what I am using. I am using the 6x6 size for my calendar but also purchased the mini size to maybe make some smaller ones for gifts.
For January's page I decided to use my TAC set, Winter Flurries and Snowflakes -retired as when I think of January I think of cold, snowy weather--even if it isn't always the case! LOL!
