Pixie Travels the Globe

This week our theme is Travel! Which is perfect for the new digi’s that are being released tomorrow!! You won’t want to miss them!

For my card today I used the super cute new digi- Paris Pixie. I printed her out and then colored her with my copics. I used my nestabilities to cut her out and then I paired this cutie with Kaisercraft Road Trip paper. 

I kept the card simple so the image could be the spotlight but did add some finishing touches of sparkle with my copic glitter pens and stickles.

The first Pixie Flix Challenge!

I’m a few days late with this card but I so wanted to play along and I hope you will too!! Check out the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog for all the details and see the other Pixie’s creations!!

It’s the Pixie’s first Pixie Flix Movie Challenge!! I am so excited about this new challenge that we’ll be having once a month--super fun!!

Let’s see if you can guess the movie we’re featuring~

• It begins with a Summer romance and ends with a Graduation.
• It is a musical set in the 50's.
• The girls LOVE Pink.
• The girls have a sleepover.
• The boys have a car race.
• The title refers to an item found in cars and hair.

Here’s my card, which you have to use your imagination a bit but it’s inspired by one of my favorite characters from the movie and yes, she does have pink hair in part of the movie! I used the digi-March Pixie as I thought her curls and facial features reminded me of the character from the movie.

 

I colored her with my copics and copic glitter pens and then cut her out. I paired her with some Dovecraft Glamour paper. I used my nestabilities to cut out a “background piece” for her to stand on and then embossed it with my Crafts-Too Spots embossing folder. I finished the card off with a strip punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and a few extra little details~ stickles and rhinestones.

What Shall I do?

To go along with the new release, Feed The Birds, our challenge this week is the theme of Birds. Here’s my card using the new digi, What Shall I do?  I think this little cat with his bird friends is just so darling!

 
I used my copics to color in the image and then cut it out with my nestabilities. Thought I’d have some fun so I used kraft cardstock and my A Muse polka dot paper. I added a few finishing touches but I left it on the simple side so the cute image could take center stage.

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Time!

It’s time again for another challenge with the Pixie’s!! Be sure to check out the blog for all the details on how you can play along and to see the other Pixie’s creations!
This week our challenge is to use 3 or more patterned papers on our creations! I actually like using several patterned papers on my cards usually so this challenge was pretty easy for me.
I used the cute Prairie Pixie for my card. I printed her out and then colored her with my copics. For my papers I used some scraps of my TAC Penelope.

 
I added some paper piercing, stickles and a button with twine to finish the card.

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge- Summer!

It’s time for another Pixie Dust Studio Challenges! Be sure to visit the blog to find out how you can play along!
This week our theme is Summer! I always wanted to do a lemonade stand when I was younger but never did so I’m living out a dream in my card today featuring the cute digi Making Lemonade! So tell me, did you ever have a lemonade stand??
I printed out the cute digi and then colored it up with my copics. I added some polka dots to her tablecloth with my Sharpie extra fine point white paint pen. I used Basic Grey Picadilly for my papers--yes I’m still stuck on Basic Grey, I fear!

 
My hubby came in while I was working on this and he gave me the idea to add clouds--very clever! So I used my TE cloud die and then embossed them with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I added some Doodlebug sticker jewels and stickles to finish the card.

For The Boys

It’s time for a new Pixie Dust Studio Challenge!! Be sure to head on over to the blog and see how you can play along!

Our challenge this week is For The Boys! I struggle with masculine/boy cards but thought I’d give it a go! I used the super cute Bashful for my image and am going to write on the inside~ Don’t be afraid to be yourself~ and give it to my son.

I added some texture to the paper bag with a towel and some copic blender solution. Thought it turned out pretty neat.

Pixie Pearl

I found this lil’ Pixie in my digi folder just waiting to come out and be colored. She’s from Pixie Dust Studio.
I colored her hair pink just to make my friend, Sheila, smile as she loves to do fun colored hair!!
I also just checked the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge and was pleased to see it’s an Anything Goes week so I’m entering sweet Pixie Pearl into that challenge!
