Just a quick post to say thank you for all the comments and emails in regards to my last post. I have decided that for now I’m not signing up with any company but instead will be trying to maybe have some online parties so that I can earn some of the hostess sets and goodies! :)

This week is a busy one on my blog and hopefully I can get the rest of this cold to go away (I never thought I’d love a product named Mucinex!)so that I can get back in the swing of things by visiting you all!

Charisma Cardz Challenge #41

I really, really want to play along with more challenges when I have the time and energy so I have once again started a notebook to keep track of challenges (I’m such a paper/pencil/pen gal) and hopefully every now and again I’ll be able to play along. I figure if I have all these wonderful crafty supplies, might as well use them!!
The challenge this week at Charisma Cardz Challenge is to In Stitches-use real or faux stitching. I thought that sounded easy enough so I gave it a go. Of course the hardest part is picking out the image to use, LOL! So many stamps, so little time… I finally decided on one of my Gorjuss Girls that hasn’t seen ink {shudder}, I found my family in a book. You can get your Gorjuss Girls at SCACD! and they are 20% right now!!
You can tell I actually used my sewing machine on this because my stitching is far from straight..LOL! I actually had a few frustrating moments with my sewing machine but I worked through it--I think it was it’s way of telling me to use it more often.

 
And here’s a work of art that Belle made me tonight using the markers I gave her. She said she likes them much better than her old ones. I love her little scene.

Halloween Treat Container by Belle

It’s time for another contest at La-La Land Crafts for Kids! Belle was sooo excited as we missed the last one. This time around they want to see Halloween Treat Containers.

Belle and I first picked out some new digi’s as we didn’t have any Halloween themed ones, then we talked about what kind of container she wanted to make. She finally decided on a mini pizza box. I helped her make it--she learned all kinds of new important crafty tools and words, hehe--using these directions from SCS.

She then had the idea to have the box open and decorate the inside so you could see the treat. I thought that was pretty brilliant!

And here’s some of her other creations~her markers are running low on ink so I gave her some of my old ones. I think she’s old enough to handle the non-washable..I hope..LOL! I even gave her a skin tone copic to use..eek..we’ll see how her projects are from now on.

Her favorite color is purple and she chose our new Cheerleader Marci for her image. She did everything by herself--including using the Big Shot and nestabilities for her circles!
