Four on Friday- No coloring

It's time for another Four on Friday with my friend, Alicia!! This has to be one of my most favorite collabs!! Every few weeks we each post four projects with the same product, technique, type of card, etc. but we don't tell each other what we're doing so it's a surprise for us too!

Today I decided to make four cards with no coloring-sentiments only. Now to some that might not seem like that big of a deal but if you've followed me for any time, you know I LOVE to color and probably 95% of my cards all have an image and coloring on them. It truly is a challenge for me to make sentiment only cards.

After I decided that this was what I was going to do I sat and stared at my craft table for quite awhile. LOL! Finally I decided to use some sketches to make the process a bit easier! Although I'm not going to lie, many times I thought about changing this idea to include colored images, LOL!

My first card uses Freshly Made Sketches #273. I thought it was a great CAS sketch to use a few strips of scraps. I paired the sketch with the Reverse Confetti stamp set, A Friend Like You.

Next I used a sketch I found from Flowerbug's Inkspot. I used SU's Stitched All Around stamp set for this sketch. 

My third card uses a sketch from Mojo Monday, Sketch #546. I used my Simon Says Stamp Greetings Mix 1 for this one. 

For my last card I just went freestyle, although I know there are sketches out there like this. I used my Pretty Pink Posh Thoughtful Greetings.

TLC Designs July Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the TLC Design’s new release blog hop!!  Some of the design team is hopping with loads of inspiration featuring the amazingly adorable designs releasing in the TLC shop today.  There are a total of 3 new beautiful digital paper sets, 4 new adorable digital stamp sets, and 1 new whimsical photopolymer stamp set all available starting TODAY!  

I had so much fun with these new products!! For my first card I used the new Tiptoe Fairy Dance Stamp Set!! How adorable are these little dancers!! I paired them with the new Blooming Melody Digital Papers and Scalloped Rectangle Garden Dies.

For my second card I used the new Koala Kindness Digital Stamp set. The flower is an accessory stamp but I thought it was perfect on it's own. I used the Blooming Melody Digital Papers and Scalloped Rectangle Garden Dies.

My last card today also uses the Koala Kindness Digital Stamp Set. This time I used the adorable koala! He makes me smile! He's so fluffy! I paired him with the Blooming Melody Digital Papers, Scalloped Rectangle Garden Dies and Aztec Sunshine Circle Dies. I added glossy accents to the balloons for a more realistic look.

Stampin' Up Sunday #2

Time for another Stampin' Up Sunday. In case you missed the first one, you can see it~ HERE! 

Sometimes the best laid plans just don't work out, right? It looks like it will be a little bit longer before I can re-join SU, but that's okay-I have the goal in sight and I'll get there. I just decided I needed to be responsible and save that extra $$ for the transition period if/when Sam gets the new job--which I sure hope we find out one way or another soon as this waiting stinks!!

Being a responsible adult stinks sometimes, huh? LOL! 

But in the meantime, I still have tons of SU stamps/punches/inks/paper/etc. to play around with so I'm still continuing my Stampin' Up Sunday's!

I had so much fun last week with the Color Throwdown Challenge that I thought I'd use that as a starting point again this week. Here's the colors and this is the LINK to the current challenge!

Not sure which is my favorite this week. I struggled a bit more with this stamp set than last week's but it was still fun to use! I found it interesting that Stampin' Up posted on their Facebook page that this stamp set, Mosaic Madness was the top selling stamp set of the 2013-2014 catalog!

Lady Bug

I started this last week but just got it finished last night. This is a stamp by Elisabeth Bell for Sweet Pea Stamps called Lady Bug.

Paper Pretties Challenge-Texture

It's time for another challenge at Paper Pretties! Be sure to visit the blog to see how you can play along and to see the other Pretties girls creations!

This week our challenge is Texture! Fun, fun!!

For my card today I used the super fun Sweet 16 Lily! Isn't she just so perfect for those teen girl cards!!!

I colored her with copics and then added some touches of sparkle with a stardust pen and a Wink Of Stella gold pen. I embossed the pink and green papers with some embossing folders~ Cuttlebug Perfectly Paisley and SU Chevron~ and then did some paper piercing. To finish the card off I added a super fun flower.

Melanie Mouse

A friend asked me if I could make some Valentine's Day cards for her to give to her girlfriends so I thought I'd best get started on them. Going to try to make several so she can choose what she wants.

I found this cute digi, Melanie Mouse from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps in my printed-waiting to be colored--folder and thought she'd make a cute Valentine.

I was excited to use my new SU Hearts a Flutter Framelits dies on this card! I love that SU is now selling stamps/dies as a bundle now too! I didn't use the stamps on this card but I'll use them soon!
