Sending you thoughts of comfort

Another card to share today from last year when I was on the SCS Dirty Dozen team. The June Fan Club theme was Sunrise, Sunset. My card today uses a sketch that was available. Another twist to the theme that I used was to make a sympathy card to represent an ending.

I used the Stampin' Up set, Suite Seasons for my card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Ellie with Crutches

I just had to get this digi stamp, Ellie with Crutches, from The Paper Nest Dolls because it seemed appropriate with my current situation, although I don't have my arm in a splint, thank goodness!!

I thought it would make a cute get well card! I keep thinking she is some sort of supergirl though because I would not be able to manage crutches with just one arm!! Plus she looks way too cute, yup, she's a supergirl!!

I used a sketch from SCS, SC665~

Thanks so much for stopping by! I think this will be my last card for awhile because it really is hard for me to sit in my craft room for too long with the pain from the ankle. Hopefully I'll recover quickly and be back to creating in no time!

Stampin' Up Sunday- Wonder of Christmas

For today's Stampin' Up Sunday I decided to use a holiday set, Wonder of Christmas. I really like the angel in the set and it has several sentiments which makes it very versatile.

This first card isn't a truly 100% SU card as I did use my copics and stickles. I've been having so much creating lately that I decided that I should focus more on the creating and less on the worrying about it all being SU. :)

For this card I used some non-holiday paper because I thought it was just so pretty with the angel. I used the Blooms & Bliss designer paper. I paper pieced her dress. I think it was suppose to be long sleeves but I gave her some short sleeves.

I used an older SFYTT~

Those who know me are probably a little shocked to see another holiday card, as am I, but truth be told I'm actually enjoying making them this year!

Stamps~ SU Wonder of Christmas,
Ink~ Memento Tuxedo Black,
Cardstock~ Copic Xpress-It, SU Rich Razzleberry,
Designer Paper~ SU Blooms & Bliss,
Other Goodies~ copics, Layering Circles Framelits, stickles, SU Basic Jewels Pearls,

For my second card I wanted to focus on one of the great sentiments in the set. I used a sketch from SCS~

This was a super easy card to make so it would be easy to replicate, if you were into that--me not so much! LOL! it annoys me to make more than 2 of a single card design.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!!

Cardstock~ SU Emerald Envy, SU Whisper White,
Designer Paper~ SU Presents and Pinecones,

Blended Bloom times 2

When I first saw the new Stampin' Up catalog the first stamp that I fell in love with was Blended Bloom. I just love this flower!! So of course when I got my starter kit this *had* to be the first stamp I inked up!!

I wanted to show the flower two ways--one with very detailed coloring with lots of shading and details and then one with very little details and slight shading. I just always love to see how one stamp can look different with just the way you make the card or color it!!

I had originally had other ideas in mind for the designer paper but when I made THIS card and had it out on my table I thought it would work well with these flowers so that's what I used. :)

For my first card I used an older sketch from SCS--SC306

For my second card I used an older Sweet Sunday Sketch--SSSC210

Have a simply wonderful day and I hope to see you back here really soon!!

If all else fails, add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!

Sweater Pup

I have a ton of animal stamps but tend to shy away from using them often as coloring them is out of my comfort zone but I thought this year would be a good year to just say what the heck and use them!

This is a digi from Some Odd Girl called Sweater Pup. How fun is he!!

I colored him with copics and then fussy cut him out. I used Basic Grey's Marjolaine papers with some buttons laced with scrappers floss to complete the card.

My layout is from an older sketch at SCS, SC444.

Hope your day is one that makes you smile!

Hey Mae

It's time for another challenge over at the CMC Copic Challenge Group!! It's an easy peasy challenge...anything goes as long as you have coloring on your creation with alcohol markers and/or colored pencils!

We are sponsored by MarkerPop this time around!! Sure hope you'll join in the fun!!

I inked up Hey Mae from Some Odd Girl. I just {heart} her!!! I colored her up in autumn colors as it's my favorite season and for the first time in a long time I actually get to experience autumn this year here in Nebraska! The trees are already starting to lose some of their leaves and it's a bit cooler...ohh..I can't wait!!

For my layout I used this week's sketch, SC449, from SCS~
