MerMay 2023- Harmony Mermaid

Today's mermaid card for MerMay uses a digi I've had for years!! It's from the artist, Michelle Perkett. I don't think she's even around anymore. This one is called Harmony Mermaid.

The sentiment says, "A woman in harmony with her spirit is like a river flowing. Maya Angelou". I kept the card simple to showcase this wonderful mermaid!

Have a fabulous day!

FBW #212

**We are just going to pretend that this is on time, okay? Still time to play along so hope you’ll join us!** and don’t forget to hop along with SCACD in the post below too**

It’s Wednesday so that means it’s time for another Flutter By Wednesday Challenge! Be sure to visit the blog to find out how you can play along and to see the awesome creations by the Flutter By Team!

This week is one of everyone’s favorite challenges--open! just be sure to have a butterfly or fairy on your creation!

I had started to color this image, Lilly the Fairy of Enchantment, from Michelle Perkett on Saturday night at my friends so I thought I’d finish coloring her and get her on a card. Go me..all the images I colored or started to color on cards within a week..woo-hoo! LOL!

I printed her out and then colored her with my copics. I must say that I am very pleased with how my coloring came out on this. I think she looks so pretty. I used Kaisercraft Tea at Elsie’s designer paper (I don’t see it any more at SCACD but there’s tons of other great papers to choose from so check them out HERE). A few touches of sparkle with stickles and some Kasiercraft rhinestones and the card was done.

Another pet sympathy

Another member at the Curves I work at lost their furbaby so another sad card to make. I used Michelle Perkett’s digi-Earth Angels set again for this one.
I printed the digi out and then colored it with my copics. Next I used my nestabilities to cut it out and I paired it with My Mind’s Eye-Indie Chic-Nutmeg papers. I decided to make the card a tent topper card using the directions on SCS-HERE (because I always forget all the little details to this card!)

To finish, I just added some stickles and the sentiment, also from the same digi set.

Earth Angels

One of the members at the Curves I work at just lost one of her beloved cats with the other one on it’s way to heaven soon so we wanted to give her a card as we all know how hard it is to lose a pet, let alone two!!

I used the Earth Angels digi set from Michelle Perkett. I printed out the cat angel and colored it with my copics. I dug through my older than the hills stash of paper and found some softer, watercolor looking paper that I thought would be appropriate. The sentiment is also from the Earth Angels digi set.

The cat angel is cut out with my nestabilities and then I added some finishing touches with stickles and a white pen.

Enchanted Slumber

Another Michelle Perkett digi image...I just fell in love with this image, so very sweet!! and so pretty, hard to see but the mother's dress has a very pretty design on it- I tried to highlight it a bit as I just love it!

I find that I like to have these images be the focal point so I tend to go more clean and simple with the design of the card.
