Merci from Cheri Fairy

My daughter is going on a trip to France and will be staying part of the time with a host family. I wanted to make a card to thank them for hosting her. I thought this Paper Makeup Stamps (no longer in business) fairy, Cheri, would be fun since it actually says Merci-thank you in French. I paired her with a "kit" that I got from Paper Makeup Stamps ages ago and I believe it came with this sweet fairy.

I looked back at THIS post and saw I got this kit in 2011. Man, the years fly by when you're a crafty hoarder! LOL!

I can't wait to hear all about Belle's trip and hopefully this will make the host family smile.

Have a super day!

A bunch of thanks!

I recently joined Color Street as a stylist and one of the things I really want to do is to be able to send a thank you card to each customer who orders from me so I sat down and made some quick and easy "thanks" cards today using the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Scallop Border die.

I used some remnants of a kit I had from Paper Makeup Stamps for the patterned papers and a few of the cardstock pieces. I kept them very simple, basic and flat so they'd be easy to mail. I did add a flower embellishments to two of the cards as I had them left in the kit and wanted to use them up.

I'm really excited that with these cards I finished up that kit! Sometimes it's fun to finish something off so that you make room for new, right? 😉

Thanks for stopping by and have a super duper day!!

Four on Friday-Embossing Folders

It's time for another Four on FridayMy friend, Alicia and I have a collaboration series called "Four on Friday". Every few Fridays, we will be sharing 4 different projects using the same technique, tool or type of product. To see previous Four on Friday posts, click HERE!

This month we're pulling out our embossing folders to make our four cards!  I *may* have a few to choose from!

For my first card I just had to color up a cute piggy from a set from La La Land Crafts that I just got called This Little Piggy. So darn adorable and fun!! So many times I reach for an embossing folder I always just emboss white cardstock so today I wanted to do some other colors! I chose a light blue for this Clouds embossing folder to go with my piggy!

Stamps~ La La Land Crafts~ This Little Piggy,
Ink~ Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Mango Melody,
Cardstock~Gina K. Artist Choice, SU Soft Sky, SU Daffodil Delight, SU So Saffron, misc. white cardstock,

Other Goodies~ copics, prismacolor pencils, MFT Stitched Oval STAX, Darice Clouds embossing folder, La La Land Crafts Stitched Sun and Clouds dies, Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels, Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen,

My second card uses 3 different embossing folders to make a fun background. I went for a fun contrast with the black and then the reds and pinks.

Ink~ C.C. Designs Black Olive,
Cardstock~ scraps of SU cardstock, SU Basic Black,
Designer Paper~
Other Goodies~ SU Fancy Fan embossing folder, SU Garden Trellis embossing folder, SU Square Lattice embossing folder, SU Botanical Builder Framelits, rhinestone, MFT Mini Scalloped Stitched Rectangle STAX,

My next card I used an old kit I had from Paper Makeup Stamps along with some sweet stamps from La La Land Crafts~Afternoon Tea Marci and Tea Time Kittens. I paired a piece of designer paper with some embossed cardstock. The embossing adds just the right touch!

Designer Paper~ Paper Makeup Kit
Other Goodies~ copics, prismacolor pencils, ribbon, SU Sparkle embossing folder, Sassafras button embellishment from Paper Makeup Kit,

For my last card I decided to ink up a Pure Innocence girl, Peek-a-boo. I fussy cut her out and then put her on a circle that I used my most used embossing folder, Swiss Dots on.

Stamps~MFT~PI Peek-a-boo
Ink~Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, Distress Oxide Salty Ocean,
Cardstock~ SU Gray Granite,
Designer Paper~
Other Goodies~ copics, primsacolor pencils, MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX set 1, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, sequins,

I didn't use my embossing folders in any great creative ways but I do enjoy using them, just need to pull them out more often! Be sure to head on over to Alicia's YouTube Channel to see what amazing projects she created!!

Have a fabulous day!

Dahlia Fae I'm here for you

Today I have a card using a digital stamp from Sweet November called Dahlia Fae. You can find Sweet November digi stamps at 7 Kids Crafts Store~ HERE!

Here's another comparison photo of where I would have stopped with my coloring before and then how I added the details with my prismacolor pencils. I just can't get over the difference.

I had some ink splotches that I needed to cut off so I cut the image panel a bit smaller/narrow than I had originally planned but I think it still turned out to be a very nice card.

I added some sparkle and I love how it looks!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Good friends are like stars...

This is another image that I had colored previously. I find it interesting that at the time I colored it I thought it was horrible. I remember I almost threw it away but decided to save it and see if I could do something with it later. As I pulled it out and looked at it, I actually liked it. Amazing how some time can change our view and we can even be kind to ourselves!

This is another stamp company that is no longer in business, although I keep hoping they'll come back, Little Miss Muffet Stamps. This digi is Polka Dot Pals Vega.

I had a little bit of a hard time deciding what to pair her with for a card as I don't remember my original plan but I think I made it work! The magic of papercrafting!!

Have an awesome day!

You're a true friend!

I'm up on The Greeting Farm blog again today and I chose to use the fun stamp set, Mini-Remix Friend (I noticed it's sold out at the moment but why not take a peek at the shop as I know there are tons of other cute stamps just waiting to come play at your house!). Just so adorable! I think this stamp set, and many of their other smaller image sets would be great to decorate envelopes as well as cards and planners. They are all so versatile!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! and yes, I made it for the first part of the month doing birthday cards but now I'm moving on to a few others in the mix, hehe!

Mon Cheri

Oh the woes of a crafter who has big dreams for everything she buys, but yet there are only so many hours in a day and then there are so many new goodies and then before you know it the years have passed and you still haven't touched a kit you bought AGES ago! LOL!

I always have the goal to use what I have, seriously don't most crafters, but then something new comes along and that goal goes out the window.

Well....once again I'm going to try and use up some of what I have and I'm starting with a kit I bought in ahem, uh, um January 2011! Holy batman! THIS is the kit that I got from Paper Makeup Stamps and sadly I don't think I've used any of it at all!

So with any luck you'll be seeing lots of this paper, ribbon and flowers in the next few weeks but don't hold it against me if you don't! {wink, wink}!

I thought it only appropriate to use the stamp that came with the kit for the first creation out of it!

Thanks for stopping by and have a marvelous day!
