Under the Mistletoe Fairies for FBW #114

Finally getting my card made for this week's Flutter By Challenge which is Christmas in July! Just have to be sure to have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation.

I used these gorgeous fairies from Paper Makeup Stamps, Under the Mistletoe Fairies.

I think my creativity is still hiding out after the headache, not sure this turned out like I wanted...

OCC Sketch Challenge

I thought the sketch this week at Our Creative Corner was a fun one and thought I'd play along.
Here's the sketch~

I decided to use this cutie from the C.C. Designs Sugarplums Spring Kit...sticking with my rain theme for this weekend I guess. LOL!  I think my attention span is too short for these company themed weekends so my weekend crew and I are working on a new plan. It makes it fun to have friends creating with ya--even if it's only online!
I loved how Dawn did the red hair on her gorgeous card so it inspired me to do a red-head.

supplies:
  • card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
  • stamps: Sugarplums spring kit 2010, A Muse essential ovals,
  • paper: some from my older than the hills stash, SU cardstock,
  • ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU bordering blue,
  • others: copics, Fiskars raindrop texture plate, SU ticket corner punch, Robin's Nest tear drops, glue dots

A Touch of Christmas Thursday's # 6

It's time for another A Touch of Christmas Thursday's! Be sure to check out Kimberly's blog to see what she came up with!
I'm really trying to use up some of the images I already have colored so that's where I found all of these images. I made a few cards to make up for missing last week. I kept them pretty simple so they'd mail without extra postage.
I used a sketch from SCS, SC194 for the Snowbunnybella card.

Victoria Case for SCACD- Aurora Release Day!! Blog Hop!

Are you having fun on the hop? You should arrive here from Marti's blog! If not, go back to the beginning of the hop at Jennifer's blog and I'll wait for you!

Oh my have I been waiting for this day!! I simply {heart} the new little sprite from Victoria Case for SCACD, Aurora. She is just too too cute!
I get the pleasure of introducing Aurora with butterfly! Look at how much fun she's having!!
Be sure to head to Susana's store to order your Aurora stamps!! You NEED these stamps!!

Isn't little Silly Pilly so cute?? You can only get him when you order the complete sheet of stamps...but you know you need them all anyway!!

supplies:
What I did:
  • stamped Aurora onto my cardstock with memento ink and colored with copics--you'll notice her eyes are the anime style...if you need a little direction on how to color these, there will be a tutorial by Suzanne on Susana's store site
  • I added touches of copic glitter pen to Aurora, smooch to the butterfly's spots and Inspiration paint to the butterfly
  • I used a sketch by Suzanne that we used last September for a TIOT
  • I used my nesties, labels 4, to cut my image out and then sponged ink around the edges while the nestie was still in place
  • I used my Fiskars texture plates for the background paper and then sprayed with Smooch Spritz
  • To finish the card I added a few embellishments, finished the inside and then added some stickles to the butterfly
Now you need to hop on over to Aud's blog to see more of this fun little sprite!

Club Anya Holiday Blog Hop

I'm so excited to participate in my first Club Anya blog hop!! What fun, and a holiday/festive one at that!!
If you're starting here with my blog, be sure to go back to the Club Anya blog to see the list of participants as the list was so long they thought it would be easier to just have the list on the Club Anya blog.
I don't know about you, but I can't wait for the release of new Anya's and Miss Anya's tomorrow!! Fun!!
Okay, enough yap yap...onto my creation~~
I didn't really follow any of the categories as I wasn't in this to win a prize, just for fun so I just created a holiday card!

I had a heck of a time photographing this card! It is dark green cardstock, not black and it really does sparkle!

supplies:
What I did:
I started by stamping Miss Anya onto my cardstock with memento ink and then masked off her feet and stamped an A Muse essential oval to give her something to stand on. I colored the image with my copics. I love Randi's work, her coloring is amazing, and I love how she adds touches of sparkle to the hair so I did that with Miss Anya too. I used my glaze pen on her shoes. I also love how Pam gives her Anya's eyeshadow, so I attempted to give my Miss Anya a bit of sparkly peach eyeshadow with a copic glitter pen. hehe! I used a sketch from SCS, SC193 for the inspiration for my layout.

To finish the card I picked papers, picked embellishments and then added stickles to the flower and snowflake.
One trick I discovered, I know I read it on a blog but can't remember who it was to give credit to, was to spray your paper lightly with water or rubbing alcohol before using the sizzix texturz plates or in this case, the Fiskars texture plate in your machine. Works so much better!!

WWYD completed

Remember my What Would You Do post? Well here's the completed card!!

Thank you to all who left comments!! You all had great suggestions!! I really liked Heidi's though of adding a sentiment---I always tend to forget to do that!! and also she suggested to add baubles or gems....I added little buttons. So Heidi, I'll get a little something out to you for helping me out!!

I colored these adorable Buzzy Friends with prismacolors and OMS and then added stickles to their wings. The sentiment is from a retired TAC set. I used my Fiskars texture plates for the honeycomb embossing on the purple.

Thanks again to all who played along. This was fun and I might have to do this again!!
