Inky Impressions Challenge #101

I need to be working on my huge project that I'm doing for a friend but thought I'd sneak in one card for a challenge first. From Millan.Net

This is for the current Inky Impressions Challenge #101 which is to use the color Blue for Colon Cancer Awareness.

For my sketch I used an older sketch that was designed for my Flutter By Wednesday Challenge by Carly (who no longer does sketches).

Thought I'd also share the view from my craft table the other night~ I was ambushed!! LOL!

Strips...they need to be used!

Continuing with my challenge to myself to use up a 6x6 pad of paper (see the original post HERE) today. I noticed I had tons of strips of paper to use up so I decided to work on those today.

Keeping details short and sweet today but feel free to email me if you have any questions!

First card using Some Odd Girl's digi-Shy Kaylee.

The next card uses Whimsie Doodles digi- Shy Leah. Guess I was in a "shy" mood!

Next we have Teddy Emma from C.C. Designs.

Which one is your favorite? I can't choose!!

These make the total cards so far from the 6x6 paper pad---5! I must admit that I am having so much fun with this!!

Have an awesome day!

The Pink Elephant #166

It’s time for another challenge at The Pink Elephant! Be sure to visit the blog to see how you can play along and also to see all the other DT member’s fabulous creations!
This week our challenge is Monochromatic. I’m not going to lie…I usually avoid these challenges at all cost. For some reason they freak me out! LOL! But I thought I would try this week, after all, that is what makes it a challenge, right?

I kept my card very simple (easier for me to get the monochromatic part that way) by using Wispy Dreams from Susana Loves Stamps. I always feel like I’m cheating when I don’t color an image..hehe! To finish I added some sparkle with Viva Decor Glitter Liner around the oval and some rhinestones. Whew…I did it!! LOL!

Hope you’ll join us this week at the Pink Elephant Challenge!

Ice Cream and Pickles

I am helping my boss throw a baby shower for my co-worker so of course I needed a card for her too! She loves turtles and I was originally going to do a turtle card of some sort but then decided that this Ice Cream and Pickles digi from Saturated Canary was too fun so I settled on it.

I colored the image with my copics and then paired her with My Mind’s Eye-Lime Twist-Happy Go Lucky. I added some flowers, Kaisercraft pearls, Viva Decor glitter liner and stickles to finish the card.

Kissing Booth

A bit late with my last Basic Grey post but still wanted to get one more card in for my Basic Grey week! It was fun to base my cards off the paper this week!
Today I’m using Basic Grey Kissing Booth. So pretty with all it’s pinks!! Next came the fun part of what stamp to use with it! When I was looking for what stamp to use the super cute Loli’s Dance from Sylvia Zet for SCACD yelled out that she hadn’t been inked up and she’d love to be- so who was I to argue!
I inked her up with Memento Tuxedo Black and then colored her with copics and ShinHan Art Touch Twin markers. She just makes me feel like doing a fan dance--if I knew how! LOL!
To help finish off the card I used a Petaloo flower and a few punches from my cute Fiskars Scroll punch.  I added some sparkle with stickles and an edge of Viva Decor Glitter Liner because you can never have too much sparkle! ohh and I added a few Kaisercraft rhinestones too!

Hope you’re having a great weekend! We have no plans so I’m hoping to get lots of crafting in! Thanks for coming by and thanks for the sweet comments! This week I got sidetracked and didn’t leave many comments but next week I should be back on track!
~Did you know that SCACD carries lots of Maya Road Chipboard? Some super fun designs with lots of possibilities--HERE!!

I love my embossing folders!

(scroll down for my April calendar page)
Did you see the wonderful tutorial that my DT Sister, Alex did? No? Well head on over to the SCACD store blog and check it out HERE!
I was so happy to see her do this tutorial as I must admit, I’ve been very boring in my use of my embossing folders….never tried anything outside of…well, embossing. LOL! But this has started the ideas rolling and I can’t wait to play!
SCACD has an awesome selection of embossing folders- HERE!
Figured I’d show my stack of folders…umm, yeah, you could say I like ‘em!

The first thing I tried was taking my Luminarte Watermelon Mist silk glaze and painted it onto my Craft Concepts Brocade embossing folder then put some dark purple cardstock in it and ran it through my Big Shot and voila’ here’s the results~

Gorgeous although hard to capture it in a photograph!! I LOVE how this turned out and it just shows that you shouldn’t be afraid to play and get messy.
On that whole messy note, this cleaned up so easy with water and then for the stubborn spots I used ScraPerfect The Best Cleaner Ever.
And here’s my finished card using Sea Cliff Eyes from the latest Susana Loves Stamps release.

I know I’ll be playing with these embossing folders a lot more now and trying new things--you should too!!
Also entering this into the following challenges:

Christmas Card Challenge #4

Woo-hoo! I finally caught up to the current challenge on the Christmas Card Challenge Blog!

Here’s my card using a Memory Box stamp I’ve had for at least a year or longer and haven’t used, called Ornament Penguin--although I’m wondering if I cataloged it wrong as it looks like a mistletoe penguin to me, LOL!

ACK! as I was making this I discovered I’m almost out of red cardstock! With Valentine’s Day coming, that seems like a crafty emergency to me!
The little details~ Ornament Penguin, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, copics, nestabilities, copic multi-liner, paper from my older than the hills stash, SU Snow Burst embossing folder, Viva Decor Iridescent Glitter Liner,

Alison the Witch

When I saw this cute digi from Tiddly Inks, Alison the Witch, I *had* to get it! Why you ask? Well see….I wanted to pay tribute of sorts to a fabulous friend..hehe!
Every year in October Alex does the 31 days of Halloween and the last few have been hosted by Edgar Allan Crow. I just love visiting her blog during October!  (well, I love her blog anytime but it’s really fun during October) Although some of her art is creepy, disturbing and a bit too dark for me, it’s so fun to read how the art came about and Edgar’s descriptions of it all!
So this is my “Ode to Alex and Edgar”…can’t wait to see the rest of this year’s days of Halloween!! And sorry Edgar, I just had to add a touch of sparkle..hehe!

The little details~ digi-Alison the Witch, copics, PMS kit, copic glitter pens, Viva Decor Glitter Liner, silver dew drops,

Be sure to visit the blog to see the other fabulous designers creations and check back tomorrow for one more sneak peek before the big release on October 1st!
Today we are showing the fun new set, Fruity For You! I will admit it, it took me a bit to come up with a card for this set because there was no coloring involved..ack!! But I really like how this turned out!
I was a bit tired of autumn colors so I went a little bit *loud* with some bright colors! hehe! I also was going into sparkle withdrawls so I had to add some sparkle too.

FBW #172

(don’t forget about my blog candy-HERE)
Time to flutter by!! It’s time for another Flutter By Wednesday Challenge! Be sure to visit the blog to find out how you can play along!! Still celebrating my birthday with a fabulous giveaway this week so be sure to check it out! Also be sure to visit my Flutter By Team’s blogs for lots of inspiration~~links are on my sidebar!
This week our give-away is from one of my all time favorite stores, Susana’s Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD). I can’t even put into words how much Susana means to me. In December it will make 3 years since she asked me if I wanted to be a guest designer on her team. The rest is history as they say. She has encouraged me, believed in me and become one of my most special friends. She makes my {heart} happy!!
When I first found Susana’s store the stamps that lured me there were the Faerie Song Art Stamps. Even though I don’t play with them much anymore, they still are some of my favorites so I had to create a card with one them! This is the beautiful Bryony. The little dots of stickles in the background of the image were an idea I CASE’d from the talented Jen, and a few other crafters!

As time has gone on, SCACD has expanded and grown to include SCACD exclusive stamps! I feel so fortunate and blessed to get to play with all these fabulous stamps! Of course it’s no secret that the Victoria Case for SCACD stamps are some of my favorites so I had to create a card using one of those stamps too! I used the fun, Thinking of You as she sadly hadn’t seen ink yet!

And since the give-away this week is the Fall Flora Fairies, I had to make one more card using one of them too! I used the beautiful Stargazer for my card today.

The little details~ Bryony, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, copics, nestabilities, Couture Creations embossing folder, flowers, Viva Decor Glitter Liner, sticker gems, stickles, Thinking of you, SU So Saffron ink, copic glitter pens, shimmer chalks (for eyeshadow but ended up sparkling up the whole image, LOL), Cosmo Cricket Wanted, SU Embosslits Beautiful Wings, pearls from my stash, Stargazer, Crate Paper Snow Day, SU markers, punches, Doodlebug Sticker Jewels,
