Hello Friend

I had so much fun trying out all my new goodies from Pink & Main!! I am in love with their foiling products and this new stamp set, Hey Hot Stuff is so cute and fun!!

I love that I was able to get amazing results on my first try with the Mini Minc! I may be hooked to foiling!!

I used the Big Posies Foilables along with the Flowers Silver CheerFoil and then the Flower Power Foilable Kit with the Fairy Wings Pink CheerFoil for all my foiled elements of my card.

I colored up the cute dragon from the Hey Hot Stuff stamp set and then put the card together. A pretty clean and simple card but wow, that foil really jazzes it up! I thought the top portion need a little something so I used the Many Flowers Embossing Folder.

I did add some glossy accents to the glasses as it's one of my favorite things to do! I wasn't going to add embellishments but then decided it needed something so I added some enamel dots from the Dragonfly Dreams Enamel Dots.

As I was looking through some challenge blogs I discovered that The Paper Players: PP651 was a Tic Tac Toe Challenge and I realized this card works for the top row across! Flowers, Green and Embossing!

Celebrate with Sweetie

I'm up on the TLC Designs Blog today!! Are you following the TLC Designs Blog? If not, you should! The other design team members post some of the most inspiring creations plus you don't want to miss any TLC Designs news!!

I was in the mood to color up a dragon and Sweetie the Dragon just yelled out to me. Such a cute stamp and so much fun to color!!

I paired Sweetie the Dragon with the Celebrate Frame Die set. I love how this die set just makes the card come together so easily!

It's nice that there is the oval that has the "Celebrate" on it so that you don't even have to worry about a sentiment although you could easily add one or put one on the inside.

I think this card turned out so cute and it came together so easily!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Be sure to follow the TLC Designs blog, join in the Facebook group- TLC Designs Creative Sharing and the TLC Designs YouTube Channel!! Lots of inspiration and fun!!

You're so Sweet!

I'm up on the TLC Designs Blog today!! Are you following the TLC Designs Blog? If not, you should! The other design team members post some of the most inspiring creations plus you don't want to miss any TLC Designs news!!

I'm so excited to share my card with you today! It's the first interactive card I've made with a die! SO MUCH FUN!! I feel these could get addicting!

I used the Double Dial 2 Interactive Die to create this card. I'm not going to lie, I was super nervous that I wouldn't be able to figure it out, (sometimes I'm a bit die challenged) but then once I got started, it went together easily.

There are photos and directions on the back of the die package that are very easy to follow. I also know that there are some videos on the TLC Designs YouTube Channel that show you as well if you need that extra visual.

I only used one of the interactive slots with this card as Sweetie the Dragon only needed one ice cream cone, hehe!!  I love the flexibility of this die! I did add Happy the Dragon to the card as the ice cream looked odd just floating there so now Happy is giving Sweetie the ice cream cone.

I paired Sweetie the Dragon with Blooming Medley digital papers. I think these are one of my new favorite set of papers from TLC Designs!! They are just so pretty and versatile!

To complete my card I added some little arrows from the Action Stamps to the dial.

I can't wait to make another card soon using some of the interactive dies from TLC Designs!!

I almost forgot!! The challenge at the TLC Designs Creative Sharing group right now until the 15th is Interactive Cards!! I hope you'll come join us!!

Copic Colorless Blender Tutorial with TLC Designs Digis

I'm up on the TLC Designs Blog today!! Are you following the TLC Designs Blog? If not, you should! The other design team members post some of the most inspiring creations plus you don't want to miss any TLC Designs news!!

Today I thought I'd show you some of the fun things you can do with a Copic Colorless Blender. I only use copics so not sure if other brands of alcohol markers have this type of marker/refill or not. I have tried some of the techniques with rubbing alcohol and it did provide some results.

These techniques are not ones that I've come up with on my own. Over the many, many years that I've been using copics I have taken many online coloring classes and this is always something that is discussed. I just thought I'd share as there are always new crafters who might not know about these techniques or maybe it's a technique you've forgotten about.

Here's a sample sheet of some of the fun things you can achieve with colorless blender. Some you use the marker and then many you use the refill on a textile surface, like a cloth, denim, etc. or even use stencils!

To begin with I printed out a sheet of various TLC Designs digital stamps: One Eyed Harry, Fancy Fin, Festive Friends, Foraging Fairies, Dragon Baby Greetings, Ink Me In Pink Freebie and Poetic Pixie

If you are using the colorless blender marker for your effect you can color up the entire image first. I did this technique on One Eyed Harry, Ink Me In Pink Freebie and Foraging Fairies. Here you can see them all colored up, which looks good but with a few little touches you can add to them!

My next step using the colorless blender marker was to just have fun! I started with One Eyed Harry and added lots of dots.

You can vary the appearance of the dots by how long you leave the marker on the image and also how hard you press. I just think it's so fun to see the texture appear. It does take a few seconds for the alcohol to dry so it doesn't appear instantlly. You can also go back and do it over again if the effect isn't quite what you want.

I added some dots to Foraging Fairies flower and outfit and some designs in the wings. So fun!!

Ink Me In Pink Freebie was perfect for adding some stripes to her dress and some dots to her boots.

Next comes some of my favorite ways to use the colorless blender refill. For this technique you need to just color the area you are going to add texture to first. With this technique the colorless blender goes over other parts of the image so you don't want it to be colored. Once the colorless blender dries, you can color over it like normal.

You can use any number of "cloth" for this technique. Each one will yield a different texture. Here's a few of what I typically use- an old dishcloth, both sides give different looks, an old towel and a piece of denim that I use for when I want to add texture to "jeans".

I colored up the whale from Fancy Fin and then added some colorless blender to the towel. You don't need much of it and it will evaporate quickly so be sure to apply it to your image quickly. Just like with the marker, you can achieve different effects for how hard you press and also how long you leave it on the image.

Next I used the smoother side of a dishcloth for the cute koala from Festive Friends.

For Dragon Baby Greetings I used the "scrubby" side of the dishcloth. I love how this particular dishcloth gives a rougher, scaly look.

My last example uses the cute Poetic Pixie. I used the towel again for some fun texture on his hat. Be careful if using reds, they tend to bleed quite a bit so I always leave a little extra space to compensate for that. After the image is dry, then you can go back and fill any any spots by the edges that might be blank.

I hope this inspires you to try some new things and add texture to your creations! If this is a new technique, take some time to just practice and play around first!

Be sure to share whatever you create in the Facebook group- TLC Designs Creative Sharing.

Have a super day!!

Happy Dragon

I'm up on the TLC Designs Blog today!! Are you following the TLC Designs Blog? If not, you should! The other design team members post some of the most inspiring creations plus you don't want to miss any TLC Designs news!!

Today I'm using the adorable Happy the Dragon Digital Stamp! I just love him so much!! I really loved coloring him up and adding texture to him.

I printed out the Sweet As Cake Digital Papers to go with the Happy the Dragon digital stamp. I still am really enjoying digital papers! It's just so nice to just print out what you want!!

I used the Land and Sea Dies to add some interest to the bottom panel and then cut the whole panel out with the Scalloped Rectangle Garden Die. I really like that these dies are so versatile! They just help the creativity flow!!

I add the extra piece of Sweet As Cake Digital Paper that was cut out with the Land and Sea Dies to the inside of the card for an extra personal touch.

To finish off the card I added some twine to make the balloon string. Overall, I must say this turned out to be a very cute card!!

There's also a new challenge starting tomorrow at the TLC Designs Creative Sharing Facebook Group!! Come on over and join in the fun!!
