Inky Paws Challenge #204- More Inspiration

This week I used the Newton's Antics stamp set and dies along with A Cat's Life 6x6 paper pad, Frameworks dies and Frames Squared dies.

The card went together easily! Picked the papers, cut them out, colored up the cute cats and die cut them out, stamped the sentiment, decorated the inside and put it all together! I love sketches as they take a lot of the thinking out of the card!

What a fun sketch! I thought it would be fun to use the Cat Silhouette Dies, Cat-itude Stamp Set and A Cat's Life Paper Pad to create my card!

I started out by picking the papers I wanted to use from A Cat's Life Paper Pad. I die cut a base using the Frames & Flags die set and circles using the Frames Squared die set. 

To complete the card I die cut some fun cats using the Cat Silhouette dies and stamped the sentiment from the Cat-itude stamp set.

What an easy card to create but oh so fun and cute!!

Inky Paws Challenge #203- More Inspiration

I'm back today with more inspiration for the current Inky Paws Challenge that goes through August 4, 2023 at midnight CST! For today's card I thought it would be fun to use the Floral Fringe stamp set and color the flowers with the challenge colors. 

After I colored up the image I die cut it out with the Frames Squared dies! I created my layers with the Frames Squared dies also.

I finished off the card by stamping the sentiment, cutting it out with the Frames Squared dies and then added some stickles to add some sparkle.

Inky Paws Challenge #203- Color Challenge

The new Inky Paws Challenge starts today, July 24, 2023 and goes through August 4, 2023 at midnight CST! I thought it would be fun to use the Bokeh Stencil Set to create my background. I did the first layer in the challenge colors and then the second layer I added some stickles gel. What a pretty effect!

I stamped and colored up the Beach Barks stamp set and then cut the fun dogs out with the coordinating dies. I used the Frameworks dies to create a little frame for the dogs.

I used the Circle Frames dies to cut out a circle for the sentiment that I heat embossed in white. 

I finished off the card by adhering it all down and finishing off the inside. I almost forgot but then remembered to add glossy accents to the glasses, such a fun touch! and I added some glitter dots!

More Inspiration for Inky Paws Challenge #202- Summer Lovin'

I'm stopping by today with some more inspiration for the Inky Paws Challenge #202-Summer Lovin'! The challenge runs until July 21, 2023 at midnight CST! Lots of time for you to link up your Newton's Nook Summer Lovin' creations on the Inky Paws Challenge Blog for a chance to win $20 store credit at the Newton's Nook Shop! To start my project I started by finding a sketch. I decided to check out the Inky Paws Challenge Blog as there are so many wonderful sketches there and decided to use the very first sketch they ever posted!! Check out the original post HERE!

Next I picked out my papers from the Summertime 6x6 Paper Pad. I pulled out some dies- Circle Frames Dies, Frames & Flags and Framework Dies- to cut out all the elements of the sketch.

I stamped my cute kitten from the Kitten Beach stamp set, colored it with copics and then die cut it out with the matching dies.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment and assembled the card like the sketch. I have a video up sharing this card! You can see it HERE!

Inky Paws Challenge #202- Summer Lovin'

I never thought of myself as a gardener but I am enjoying creating a flower garden and also a little hill with different flowers so when I think of summer, I think of pretty flowers with bees and butterflies. The Newton's Flower Garden stamp set and matching dies were perfect for my vision of flowers with some butterflies!

I stamped out my images, colored them with copics and then die cut them out using the matching dies. Once I had my images ready I started building the card using the Springtime 6x6 Paper Pad, Circle Frames Dies and Land Borders Dies. 

After I had my little scene built in the larger circle I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a smaller circle. I really like the different sizes in the Circle Frames Die set!

I finished the card by stamping a few single flowers and die cut them out and using them as little accents!

I was excited to see that the Inky Paws Challenge this week was their 100th challenge!! How exciting!! I knew I had to play along!

Coffee makes you sharper!

I love my job but I'm not going to lie, it's so nice to have the summer off to relax and craft! 

Today I'm playing along with the current Inky Paws Challenge which is Rainbow Theme. 

I'm not gonna lie, this was a challenge for me. I wish I had the Believe in Unicorns set as I had lots of ideas for that but since I don't I had to challenge myself.

I was excited to see the new Inky Paws Challenge~Think Spring. I've had the stamp set, Blooming Botanicals, for awhile and thought this would be the perfect time to color it up!

We've had a very snowy, cold winter and even though I like the cold and snow, I'm glad that spring is starting to appear, although it's bringing lots of rain which could lead to flooding but it's nice to have warmer temps and see the snow melting.

I was bummed when I saw the new challenge at Newton's Nook because it's a beach theme and I don't have any of their beach/summery stamps, yet. I then looked around their site and was so happy to discover they have a few freebies and one of them works for the challenge!!!
