Sketch Sunday- Mojo Monday #558

I thought I might try to bring back my themed days, (Sketch Sunday, Mermaid Monday, Three for Tuesday, Wednesday Wings, and Forgotten Friday). Not sure I can do them all each week, but a few here and there will be fun.

For Sketch Sunday this week I thought I'd play along with Mojo Monday Sketch #558

For my image I chose a cutie pie from the La La Land Crafts Love to Garden stamp set. It was so fun to put this card together. I used Julee's card as inspiration as it was so cute and well done! (she's just so talented!!)

I really love how this came out! So cute and fun!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super duper great day!

Happy New Year's Eve!!

The end of 2010! Can you believe it? Another year gone? Wow!!

However you are celebrating tonight, I hope you stay safe! We'll be ringing in the new year at home with the kiddos. Matthew loves staying up to see the new year in and I'm sure Belle will follow in his footsteps!

I thought the the set by The Greeting Farm, Journey with Oliver and Amelia would make a fun New Year's card as we all embark on a new journey into the year!!

I stamped Amelia twice and then cut one out to put on the other one for dimension. I think she was in a very colorful mood...hehe!

I found an older sketch on the Club Anya blog that inspired me for the layout--it's in THIS post.

The little details~ Oliver and Amelia-Journey, Memento Tuxedo Black, copics, cardstock, nestabilities, Pebbles Chalk Basic Brights, My Minds Eye Tickled Pink, Cricut, Make The Cut, My Time Made Easy Border Builder Open Scallops, copic glitter pens, ribbon brads, corner rounder, Kaisercraft rhinestones

Anything goes...really?

The challenge this week at SSC Copic Challenge Group is anything goes. Really? I think sometimes those challenges are harder than ones with specific guidelines, at least for me they are.

Of course the hardest part for me is to figure out what stamp to use. After looking through my stamp image catalogs for what seemed like hours I finally decided to ink up one of my Miss Anya Lounge stamps as they've never been inked...sigh.

I stamped her twice and cut one out to layer for some dimension. For my paper I used some of my favorite TAC paper, Rustic Chic. I had fun with my new Doodlebug Mini Jewels too..must get more of these!

When looking at the sketches I had saved on my computer, I decided on one from the old bella forum on SCS.
Anyone have any tips/suggestions for me on adding sentiments? I struggle with that so much. Like this card, I really wanted to add a sentiment but didn't know where/how to put one...anyone? suggestions/tips?? Thanks!

Spunky Sprite Girls

I hope you are all off to a fabulous start on this Monday!

Today I wanted to bring to attention a new tab at the top of the page~ TAC FUN stuff. On this page I will keep it updated as to what the specials are at TAC and also what stamp sets Michelle and I will be featuring on Spec-TAC-ular Thursday's and also, I am going to be doing a featured project each month and this will be there too.

Feel free to email me anytime if you have questions about anything!!

Onto today's creation~ I have purchased several My Time Made Easy projects and cut files so I wanted to play with them and get familiar with how they work with the Make The Cut software and the Cricut so I started with the "free" one I had gotten, the Cutesy Cover.

It was super easy to create! Reminds me of a little crayon box, but it would be fun to fill with other goodies too! I used some older papers in my stash to decorate it and used Spunky Sprite Girls for the image. I stamped the little cutie twice, cut one out and placed on top of the other one for dimension.

Once I had it done, I decided to make a little card to go with it. I used a sketch I had saved, SC204 for inspiration for my layout. The flowers and buttons are from the Lemonade Blossoms and Buttons collection.

The little details~ Memento Tuxedo Black ink, copics, Spunky Sprite Girls, MTME template/svg file, Cricut, misc cardstock and designer papers, nestabilites, markers, border punch, Lemonade Blossoms & Buttons, yellow scrappers floss,

Did you know that there are new releases every Thursday at Whimsy Stamps? Yup, Meljen's Designs releases new images every Thursday!! How fun is that?

Today I'm showing you some creations I made with this week's NEW Digis

I used ABC Patches, Back To School Badge and School Word Art for some fun bookmarks for my kiddos (hopefully they won't argue over them since it's an odd number..LOL).

Then I used Little Book Worm to decorate the cover of a notebook for my son so he can keep track of the books he's read.

Finally I made a card using the cute Teddy Bear Teacher.

I'm entering my creations in the Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge for this week which is Back To School. I also used the sketch from The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #80, for the card.
