Mermaid Monday- Sea You Soon

I took a little time away from my themed posts last month since I was a guest designer for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps but I'm excited to start getting back on track with them as I did enjoy them so much!! Although, I might not do each theme each week. I decided to just take things slow this year and do whatever really sparks joy with me, not forced creativity.

It's time for Mermaid Monday! This week I'm using Aquarina from The Greeting Farm. Isn't she just so sweet?

For my layout I used an old Deconstructed Sketch, #129.

I didn't have room on the front of the card to put the sentiment so I added it to the inside.

Have a wonderful day and smile!

Supplies~
The Greeting Farm Aquarina Stamp, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Copics, Prismacolor Pencils, Cosmo Cricket Pixie-licious 6x6 Paper Pad, SU Island Indigo Cardstock, Corner Rounder, SU Island Indigo Ink, Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen, SU Enamel Shapes,

SSSC Beauty

Over a year ago I started a series using all the Super Secret Stamp Club stamps in order from The Greeting Farm, (note, these are all retired stamps but occasionally they are available in the Farmer's Market). I got a little sidetracked but I'm hoping to be a little more faithful with this series now.

Today I'm using #5 Beauty.  Yay!! To see all the other cards I've made with the SSSC stamps, click HERE!

I'm finding that I'm sort of in a rut and feel like I go to the same simple layouts when I can't think of anything else so I'm going to try using sketches more often to challenge that creativity a bit.

For this card I used an old Deconstructed Sketch, #196

I'm so thankful that there are creative people out there who can make sketches to help people like me! 😀

I layered the "hello" so that it would have just a touch of dimension.

Have an amazing day and hope you get a chance to do something just for you!

Bookish

I'm back again today with another card using the same March 2011 Key Ingredients Kit. I've done 5+ cards using it already and there's still lots left! I'm having fun though. I stopped today as I was finishing up this card and realized I was smiling and giggling. It is a feeling I can't describe--the feeling I get when I create. I just love seeing it all come to life and go together. Especially cards like this one that I really, really, really sort of LOVE!

I used the fabulous Bookish stamp on this card which is from Whimsy Stamps--Time For Tea Designs collection. I'm really smitten with these stamps! I also used the sentiment from Whimsy Stamps-Raindrop Echo Designs- Friendship Ticket Sentiments

She has glossy accents on her glasses so that's why you see a little glare in the photo. :)

I used an older Deconstructed Sketch~ #166

Fly Butterfly

Another Sweet Pea Stamp creation to share today! Did I mention that I'm in love with these stamps? hehe!

Today uses another stamp from ching-chou kuik's collection, Fly Butterfly! I have the rubber stamp but it's also available as a digi too!

I had a happy accident with this card too. I traced very lightly, or so I thought, in pencil around the die so I knew where to color the blue background without going to the edge thinking I could just erase it. Well, it went into the paper too deep and wouldn't erase so I ended up going over it with my stardust glitter pen. I love the effect and will be doing this again! Happy accident!

My layout is based on an older sketch from the Deconstructed Sketch~

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~

Enjoy your day and smile!! ohhh, just as I was getting this post ready I spied the following on the Sweet Pea Stamps Facebook page~~ Through the end of the month, spend $25 in rubber stamps and receive a free rubber stamp ($5.99 value), enter the code freestamp and this will take $5.99 off your order (this is for rubber stamps only, digis not included)
