Forgotten Friday- Bundle Girl with Rose

It's time for another Forgotten Friday! If you're new to this series it's where I use stamps that either I haven't used in a long time or some that have never been inked up.

This week I decided to ink up Bundle Girl with a Rose from Stamping Bella. I think I've had her for a couple years and never inked her up!! She's so cute!!

I paired her with some retired papers from Stampin' Up that I believe are called Everything Rosy.

I used a stamp set and die that I "had to have" months ago and have never used. Yay for using them! It's the Many Messages and Messages die from SU. It's pretty cool to have sentiments stamped and cut out ready to go.

I think this turned out cute and it really is fun to use those supplies that haven't seen as much love!

Have a fabulous day!

Supplies~
Stamping Bella Bundle Girl with a Rose Stamp, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Copics, SU Everything is Rosy 6x6 Designer Series Paper,  Catherine Pooler Cardstock, Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Fancy Scalloped Dies, SU Dapper Denim Cardstock, SU Many Messages Stamp Set, SU Night of Navy Ink, SU Messages Die, Yellow Stickles, SU Basic Pearls,

Snail Mail

I am really in "sketch" mode this week! Today I decided to play along with the current sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches~

When I first saw the sketch I immediately thought of my MFT Blueprints 1 dies so that is where I started building the card.

I had help picking out which stamp to use~

After retrieving my die many times, we finally decided on an old Tiddly Inks stamp that was sold by Stamping Bella, Snaily Huggabug.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~

Monstah Bash

I decided I wanted to play along with the current Sketch Saturday sketch so I took a looksie through my stamps and found an oldie but goodie~ Monstah Bash from Stamping Bella-designed by Christy Croll. I was looking through Christy's shop today, Tiddly Inks, and found this digi, Monstrous Party that I think I'll have to get soon! It's similar but different than what I have and it will be fun to have it in digi form!

I always think it's fun to compare cards I've made using the same image so HERE'S a card I made using this same stamp in 2010!!

Here's the sketch I used~

Playing with some challenges

This weekend I'm just having a do what I want in regards to crafting so I thought it'd be fun to play along with some challenges and get some of my Stamping Bella stamps inky. My friend, Kristie is also playing with her Stamping Bella stamps this weekend too so stop over and say hello to her and check out her creations!

I had planned to use a Bella on my first card for the weekend but when I looked through my stamps this sweet Izzie has a daisy called out to me so that's what I went with.

I paper pieced her skirt and also masked her to stamp the oval for her to stand on. I used another sketch I had saved from The Little Paper Shop-which is no longer in business.

Here's the challenges I'm entering this card into~

Have a wonderful day and I'll be back soon! From Millan.Net

Why hello there!

Hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday (for my American friends) and survived the crazy Black Friday shopping. I stay far, far away from Black Friday shopping..way too crazy for me!!

Here's the fab sketch by Flutter By Team member, Kathy. I just {heart} her sketches!!
Here's what I came up with~

This brings my total to 8 cards from the same paper pad--still more to go!

The Pink Elephant #164

It’s time for another challenge at The Pink Elephant! Be sure to visit the blog to see how you can play along and also to see all the other DT’s creations!
Our challenge this week is to use patterned paper! Easy peasy, right?

Here’s what I came up with using a digi from Saturated Canary-Haley and Harley. I printed out my image and then colored it with my copics. For my patterned paper I used Basic Grey Sugar Rush. I did some paper piercing to the edges of the image and then some sparkle with stickles and stardust pen. To finish off the card I added some Kaisercraft rhinestones and a butterfly to the front and a sentiment/swirls on the inside.

For my layout I used a sketch from The Paper Players (I’m too late to enter their challenge but I really liked the sketch so I wanted to use it anyway!)

copic colors- R30, R20, E000. E00, E21, E33, E35, E39, E50, E51, E55, E57, G14, G16, Y02, Y08, V0000, V000, V01, BG01, R81, B000, B01, E41, E42, E43, W2, BG10
Hope you’ll join us this week at The Pink Elephant Challenge!

Uptown Girls Pattie and Dottie-Friends Forever

I think the new Uptown Girls are just so fun! I guess I really liked this one as I ended up with 2! So you know what that means…yup, time to give one of them away!! Details at the end of this post!

I got my Uptown Girls Pattie and Dottie-Forever Friends at SCACD--did you know that SCACD carries the Uptown Girls?

I inked them up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with my copics and ShinHan Art Touch Twin Markers.

I paired them up with Basic Grey Konnichiwa paper. I thought their boa needed some fun so I added some sparkly fluff to it. For my border on the striped strip I used my Classic Corner die from Dies by SCACD. I added some paper piercing, another Classic Corner die, some sparkle with stickles and a few Kaisercraft pearls to finish the card.

Here’s a quick peek at the inside of the card too--just stamped the image in a light colored ink, one of my favorite techniques (sure wish I could remember who I got that idea from) and then stamped the sentiment in a darker color.

Now onto how you can have this stamp come to your home~

  • Leave a comment telling me what your favorite Uptown Girl is from all the ones at SCACD--you can see them all- HERE!!! ( feel free to go shopping, hehe)
  • Check back here in one week, so on Wednesday July 25, 2012 and see if you won!
  • Easy peasy--good luck!!

Be on the lookout for more stamp giveaways over the next few weeks as I found several that need new homes!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Flora the Cyclist

Continuing on with bike week, I just had to ink up my new Uptown Girl from Stamping Bella, Flora the Cyclist that I got at SCACD! What..you didn’t know that SCACD carried the Uptown Girls, yes they do! Susana gets the best stamps in!!
I must admit that while I love this stamp, I giggled pondering it--the bike has no pedals and how would Flora pedal in those high heels? hehe!
florathecyclista
I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored her with my copics and ShinHan Art Touch Twin Markers. I added a few subtle sparkle touches with copic glitter pens.
I used my Basic Grey Picadilly paper. I see that SCACD doesn’t have this particular 6x6 paper pad anymore but there are lots of other ones to choose from so check them out-HERE!

Since the stamp is so large I didn’t add too many elements to distract from it. A few butterflies I found in my Picadilly pad, a corner from the new Dies by SCACD--this is one of the Classic Corners- which I added some Smooch in Kiwi to for some shimmer, some stickles, Kaisercraft pearls  and a few other finishing touches = one finished card!
I also have to share my good news! I start today as an employee at Curves! I’m super excited about it! Very part time, only 10-15 hours a week which is perfect for me. I can’t wait to help other women on their journey to being healthy!

What to create…

I was so ahead of the game last weekend and had tons of ideas rolling around in my brain and then this week I’ve been busier than normal with daily things and every time I’d come into my craft room I’d sit and stare.

I know I want to create and I have lots of ideas but when it comes to actually doing them..I sit and stare. LOL!

So I decided to make myself dive into a project so maybe the creativity will flow easily again!
I used my Cricut to cut out letters for Matthew’s science fair project and then I spent some time going through all the books with my cartridges. I was excited to rediscover some cuts I’d forgotten about. I don’t know why I don’t use my Cricut more!

When I saw Jen’s Deconstructed Sketch for the week, I thought it would be perfect to use with my CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge for a few of the shapes. Here’s the sketch~

sketch48

Here’s what I came up with~ of course it took me forever to decide on an image but I finally chose Fabby from Stamping Bella--I’m not sure she’s ever been inked up! I had a lot of fun using my Cricut too…really must challenge myself to use it more!
