There's a Stamp For That #34- Hoo-Hoo-Hooray!

I'm back today with another card for Challenge #34 at my group, There's a Stamp For That. Today my card is for the theme of Numbers.

I started this card a little different than I normally do. Normally I pick my image and pick all the rest of the supplies but today I picked the paper first as it had numbers on it and then picked everything else. 

Since the paper pad had owls in it I went with that theme (even though the papers I chose didn't have owls) and picked a very old Some Odd Girl clear stamp set, Owl Days. I think I've only used it once! 

I think it turned out to be a very cute and fun card!

Mermaid Monday- Sea Song Mae

It's time for another Mermaid Monday!! You can see all my mermaid cards HERE!

I found this retired digi, Sea Song Mae from Some Odd Girl printed out and waiting to be colored up. I tried to find her in the Whimsy Shop as they sell Some Odd Girl digis now but I didn't spy her. 

I had the best time coloring her up and love how she turned out. I really wanted her to be the focus of the card so I decided to make a mini slimline card using my Kat Scrappiness Fancy Scalloped Mini Slimline dies. 

I found some designer series paper from Stampin' Up and loved the monochromatic look it gave. I know it's a super simple card but it let her shine, just like I wanted.

Mermaid Monday- Mer Friends

Time for another Mermaid Monday! Today I'm using a digi stamp, Mer Friends, that I originally got from Some Odd Girl but now it's sold at Whimsy Stamps. 

That mermaid looks happy but that fish sort of looks like he's wondering what is going on! LOL!!

Pajama Goat

I found this cutie pie Pajama Goat from Some Odd Girl already colored up so I thought it was time to get him on a card! 

He was colored up with copics and then fussy cut out. 

I almost always color my images first and then find cardstock/patterned paper to go with them. I found when I did it the other way I was always using the same paper, the same colors, etc.  I find that purple is always a hard color to pair things with but I was lucky today and found some patterned paper right away. I always look at what I have even if I don't *think* it will work, like the paper today. It's from an old Stampin' Up 6x6 stack called Have a Cuppa--not something one would think to pair with a cute goat but once I looked at it, it had some basic patterns that would work.

After I found papers then it was just a matter of putting it together. I always struggle a bit with that part but eventually it all came together. I left this card without a sentiment so I could use it for whatever occasion I want.

I finished off the card with some pearls. It's a card that just makes me smile!!

I just love this little Sea Turtle from Some Odd Girl!! Just so cute and was so fun to color up!!

I just smile every time I look at this little turtle! Hopefully he'll bring a smile to someone for their birthday too!!

Hello there and Happy Saturday!!  Today I have a card using a fun digi I colored up during a coloring challenge and decided it was time to get her on a card!

This is Puddle Hopping Tia from Some Odd Girl.  I always swear that little kids are magnets for puddles! 😀 

I put the sentiment on the inside of the card. I love these Kid Quotes and have had them for several years. I need to use them more!

July Sheetload of Cards Leftovers

Last month Alicia made a video where she made 4 cards from the leftovers from the June Sheetload of Cards. I thought that sounded like so much fun so I decided to join in the fun with her this month and use my leftovers from my July Sheetload of Cards to make some cards. 

Here's what I have leftover~

And here's what I created~ I did add a few supplies here and there but I tried to mainly use what was leftover.  

I was inspired by Alicia's cute cacti cards so I inked up a new Whimsy Stamps set I have, Cute Cacti for this first card.

My second card uses Happy Gwen from Some Odd Girl! I had colored her up during a coloring challenge and was pleased that the colors I used worked with the paper!

My next card I made into a slimline card. I kept it super simple with some butterflies and a sentiment. I really like how it turned out!!

My last card I decided to make a square card with some strips of the leftover patterned paper.

It was fun to stretch my creativity and use the leftovers from the July Sheetload of Cards! Be sure to check out what Alicia did on her YouTube Channel.

Gaze

It's time for another card using a portrait stamp from Some Odd Girl. Today I have Gaze. Another one that was fun to color up. I especially like her hair!

Pick a Posie Mae

My mojo has been missing a bit this past week but I've found over the years it's best to just sit down and make a card or two and usually I can find that missing mojo.

I always revert back to a simple, easy peasy, basic layout so that I don't get hung up on that part. 

I colored up Pick a Posie Mae during Some Odd Girl's Community on Facebook 12 Days of Coloring so she was all ready to go onto a card.

Oceans of Birthday Wishes

Another mermaid to share today!! This is one of the fabulous mermaids from Some Odd Girl called Puffer Cone Mermaid! I just love her expression!!

I used a stencil and inked up the background. After I got it finished I thought it was too bold for the fun Mermaid and her Puffer Cone so I added some vellum over top to mute it a bit.

I embossed the sentiment (I think I maybe should have done a darker color but I do like that it's sort of hidden with the white) and then added a few sequins to finish the card off.
