Years ago there was a fabulous stamp store called Sweet Pea Stamps. It had so many different artists, every type you could imagine. I was so sad when it closed but thankful I still had so many of the stamps (both in rubber and digi form) from there. This is one of those stamps! It's a digi from the artist Rebecca Sinz and is called Holly.
I always feel good when I stretch my creativity a bit and use some different type of images.
Have a great day!

Goodbye Sweet Pea Stamps Blog Hop!
It's never easy to say goodbye. Never. But today we are saying our goodbye to a favorite stamp store, Sweet Pea Stamps. I absolutely loved Sweet Pea Stamps for the huge variety of stamps and artists that Lynette, the owner, had. That brings us to Lynette herself...what a wonderful person! I had the pleasure of being on the design team for awhile and she is so giving and wonderful. I wish her nothing but the best in her future!
You can see more of my Sweet Pea Stamp creations~ HERE!
You can see more of my Sweet Pea Stamp creations~ HERE!
This hop is from a loyal group of Sweet Pea stamp fans who want to let Lynette know that we appreciate all her hard work bringing us the wonderful stamps in both rubber and digi format over the years. Thanks so very much for all the wonderful images we have collected from you!
There are some random prizes along the way, as certain blog owners, myself included, have decided to include a prize, so please leave some comments along the way as you see everyone's gorgeous Sweet Pea Stamp creations.
Also, the store closes at the end of the day on the 25th, so if you see some wonderful stamps on this blog hop, today is the last day to get them, so please drop by the store!
For my card today I used a sweet digi by Conie Fong called Feeling Fabulous. Isn't she adorable? reminds me a bit of Cinderella.
You should have started the hop at the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog, if not, hop back there so you don't miss a thing. If you've been hopping along you should have arrived from Susan's blog! Next you should hop on to Denise's blog!
Happy hopping and have a wonderful day! And again, Lynette, I wish you nothing but happiness and smiles!

Another card using Basic Grey-Sweet Threads. It really is so fun to find ways to use up the little scraps and strips from paper pads! I found a digi, Sweet Pea Stamps-Elaine Cox-Katie, already printed out that seemed like it would be a good match.

Tummy Time Set
I didn't think I *needed* the new SU Curvy Keepsake Box Die but then I kept seeing project after cute project being made with it so I went ahead and ordered it. I must say it is an adorable little box and it really does have tons of possibilities!!
Here's my first box made with the die. I've been in a bright color, springy sort of mind so that theme is carried over here!

I decided my pretty little box needed a card with it so I went through my stamps and decided that Tummy Time by Elisabeth Bell from Sweet Pea Stamps would be a perfect match for my little box.
It really was fun to put together a little "set" and I hope to do it more often!!

Oceanessa Mermaid
I decided after I posted THIS mermaid card that I really wanted to surprise my friend so I made another one and this one I'm not posting until after she receives it! LOL!
This is another mermaid from Elisabeth Bell for Sweet Pea Stamps. I *may* be a bit obsessed right now with them. The background for her was a happy accident. Not at all what I was going for but I love how it turned out!
If all else fails, add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!

Splish Splash
I needed a card to mail to a friend and this friend LOVES mermaids so this is what I came up with! Although now I'm thinking I shouldn't post this as she'll see it, but I love how it turned out so I don't think I can wait to post it so maybe she'll just act surprised when she gets it..hehe!
This mermaid is by Elisabeth Bell for Sweet Pea Stamps and is named Splish Splash. I haven't "sparkled" anything in a few weeks so it was fun to go a bit crazy with the stickles! The sky background is done with shimmer chalks.
The layout started with an older sketch from Lesley's blog~ HERE!

Cuddle Bunny
Finished up my card, finally! The adorable, sweet stamp-Cuddle Bunny- is by Crissy Armstrong and is available at Whimsy Stamps.
I felt really rusty making this card. Not sure I entirely {love} it but it did feel good to create!
I used the current sketch from Sketch Saturday~
I think if I just play around and practice I will be happy with the results. Go me for using supplies I have!

I felt really rusty making this card. Not sure I entirely {love} it but it did feel good to create!
I also have been playing around today with different backgrounds~
I tried using SU markers with a waterbrush, using my watercolor pencils and a waterbrush, ink pads with waterbrush, SU markers with blender pen, chalks with blender pen, prismacolors with blender pen and so on. What started this madness was this gorgeous tutorial by Alyce using watercolors. I didn't have watercolors so I wanted to see if I could achieve a similar effect without rushing out and buying watercolors.

Standing Pretty
A Facebook group that I'm in issued an impromptu challenge today of Paper Piecing. If you've been following me for very long you know I love paper piecing so I had to jump on board! I was so thrilled that I had the day off so I could play!!
I used the sweet Standing Pretty stamp from Elisabeth Bell for Sweet Pea Stamps. Her dress just screamed to be paper pieced!! I also masked off the image to sponge some ink around her and the die too.
If all else fails, add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!

Variations Week at SPS-Rose
It's Variations week again at Sweet Pea Stamps!! This is a week each month that all the designers are given the same image to work with and we all create a project with that image. It is so fun to see all the different versions that we create! Be sure to check out the Sweet Pea Stamps blog each day to see all the awesome creations!
This month our image is by Concetta Kilmer and is called Rose. You can find the digi~HERE!
I have to say that I had so much fun, once again, with this months chosen image. It has that fun "tattoo" type style to it which was fun to work with.

Best Friends take 2!
When I posted this card, a friend liked it and asked if I could make one for her to give to her best friend. Normally I don't like to take "requests" per se, but thought this one would be easy enough so I did it!
The stamp is Best Friends by Karen Middleton for Sweet Pea Stamps. You can find the digi stamp~HERE and the rubber stamp~HERE!
I colored the image with copics and then paired it with S.E.I.'s With All My Heart papers. A doily, a Fiskars border punch, rhinestones and stickles finish off the card.

Variations Week at Sweet Pea Stamps- Wither
It's time for one of my most favorite weeks at Sweet Pea Stamps~~Variations Week! This is a week each month where all the designers are given an image to work with and we all create a project using that image. It's so fun to see all possibilities with the same image!! Be sure to visit the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog each day to see what everyone came up with!!
This month we are using a digi stamp by Rebecca Sinz called Wither. You can find this digi~ HERE or also in rubber form~ HERE!
One of the reasons I love when we do these weeks is that it helps you see stamps in a different light. I have bypassed this stamp numerous times in the store thinking "it's not for me" but oh my!! What a beautiful stamp and I had so much fun coloring it up!!
Wither is colored with copics and then paired with Bazzill's Wayfarer designer paper. I inked all the edges of the papers with Delicata Golden Glitz ink. Some stickles and pearls finish off the card.
