Forgotten Friday- Merry Christmouse

It's time for Forgotten Friday! This week I was overwhelmed at first at how many "forgotten" stamps there are in my room but then I saw this cute little House Mouse stamp and knew he had to be colored up!!

I think the last time I inked this stamp up was in 2008!! I think it definitely qualifies as forgotten!

One thing I did notice is that I use to only color House Mouse images in colored pencils as I was afraid of the small areas with copics. When I colored this up this time with copics it didn't bother me at all. My coloring has come a long way!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous Friday!

A thank you with mice

For Thanksgiving our neighbors invited us over to join them and their family. We had such a good time and enjoyed the yummy food so much so I thought I’d make them a thank you card.
This cute House Mouse stamp, Pumpkin Pie, screamed out to be used. Who was I to deny it?

Little Punkin

Send a Smile 4 Kids is asking for cute--not scary-- Halloween and Autumn cards so I thought what a perfect time to use all the Halloween stamps I’ve bought and sadly never used!! So be prepared for lots of Halloween and Autumn cards this month!!

I haven’t inked up any of my House Mouse stamps in a while so I thought I’d start my box to send with this cute little mousie dressed as a pumpkin.

I had to get creative as I challenged myself not to use my Big Shot this week starting with this card…eeek!! So for the circle I used my Creative Memories cutting system.

littlepunkin1

For my layout I used the current sketch by Carly. I had to add an extra element to the sketch because I had an operator error when cutting the scallop circle out with my Cricut--I did it three times and decided to stop wasting paper and use what I had, even with the error..LOL! This is the reason I challenged myself not to use my Big Shot, so I’d get familiar with my Cricut! I also left off the sentiment as it was just not working for me..sigh.

Susana has been busy again and there are new fun products in the store~ Prickley Pear Stamps and matching dies, new Couture Embossing Folders, and New Jillibean 6x6 paper pads--scroll down a bit! Oh my so many awesome things!! Also don’t forget to enter the blog candy on the store blog!!

Maxwell's Pet for FBW #107

Last night when I tried to create a clean and simple card for this week's Flutter By Challenge, my brain just couldn't picture a card. Today though, after seeing all the fabulous inspiration from my Flutter by Team (links on the FBW blog sidebar), I finally came up with an idea!!
I just love this little House Mouse stamp, Maxwell's Pet. I so wish I could be Maxwell and have a pet butterfly! Well, okay so I do want them to be free in nature but still, it would be cool!

supplies:
  • card size: 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
  • stamps: Maxwell's Pet, SU teeny tiny wishes,
  • paper: Neenah Solar White cardstock,
  • ink: Memento Tuxedo Black,
  • others: copics, copic multiliner to fix the sentiment where it didn't stamp all the way, SU mat pack, ribbon, stickles
(weird, now the photo editor is back to the way it was...hmmm...gotta love blogger! LOL)

It's time for another A Touch of Christmas Thursday's! Be sure to check out Kimberly's blog to see what she came up with!
I'm really trying to use up some of the images I already have colored so that's where I found all of these images. I made a few cards to make up for missing last week. I kept them pretty simple so they'd mail without extra postage.

Twinkling Tuesday #17

This week's challenge is~"In With The Old - make your project using a stamp that you have never used before. You know the ones you HAD TO HAVE but have sadly never seen ink? Pull 'em out and let's see!
Sadly I have many in this category lately. I always tease my friend, Kristie, about her not using her stamps well I think I might be gaining on her in that catagory! Have to change that soon!! So I hope to see her do this challenge too...hehehe!!
I'm laughing at myself. As I'm typing this up, trying to decide which stamp to use, I'm also surfing some stamp sites looking for MORE to buy! It's a sickness!! LOL!! But a fun one!
Even though there were many to choose from, I decided on this cute House Mouse one that I wanted for Easter. Well here it is just a few days before Easter and I haven't even thought of Easter cards!!
Be sure to check out Madelynn's blog to see how you can join in the fun with us. Also check out all the twinklettes to see their wonderful creations!! (their links are on the left side, over there <---- data-blogger-escaped-div="">
I used glaze pens on the jelly beans so they'd have a shine to them. The flame of the candle I drew in and used stickles on it. I used a white background with this so all the bright, happy colors would show up nicely.

As I was trying to decide what to do inside the card I figured I'd use another House Mouse stamp that I bought for Easter and haven't used. I just love these little guys!

supplies:
card size: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2

others: prismacolors, OMS, glaze pens, spiced marmalade stickles, swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder, granny smith bella baubles, stardust pen, CM cutting system, SU word window punch, CM fine tip pens,

Sleeping Under Flowers

I was in a mousie mood so I dug through my box of images and found this sweet mouse napping. I think it would be so nice to take a little snooze under some flowers, what about you?
I wanted the flowers to be a soft color so I just used my Shimmerz Pink Poinsettia on them, no coloring underneath, so pretty!!

Supplies:
card size: 5 x 3/4---yes, I know a weird size. Sam found a box of envelopes I'd been saving for years, and years so I'm using them up. They are various sizes so I'm just making my cards fit them.stamps:image from someone else

Foot Loose and Fancy Free

This is a new stamp I got recently. To me it captures the "fun" of Christmas. It seems that the holidays seem to bring out the worst in some people....reminds me of the song from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, Where are you Christmas.
Okay, since I went on a tangent there onto the card!
Trying a new format today, all supplies are listed below. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I just think sometimes I get to winded in my descriptions of the cards so trying something new. Let me know what you think.......the old way or this way or who cares as long as you see the cards? LOL!
(this was a really hard card to photograph so I tried to show several shots)

Stamps: House Mouse Foot Loose and Fancy Free; TAC Fun Filled Holidays--retired--on inside and envelope
Paper: TAC Ultrasmooth White Cardstock, patterned paper- some in my scrap pile and green cardstock for the base--possibly bazzill

Candle Light Vigil

On my yahoo group we just had a mystery swap. Everyone sent in two images and you didn't know what they were until you got the swap back. So much fun and what a neat way to see different images that are out there.
This cute House Mouse image was one of the swap images. It's called Candle Light Vigil. I colored the cute mice with prismacolors and OMS. Then I added stardust pens to the flame and my Melon Atyou Copic Glitter pen for the highlights on the candle.

I used sketch SC183 for the layout of the card. Paper is what I had in my scrap pile. The little buttons I've had forever as well.

On the inside I used the TAC set, Thankful for you.

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy day!

Pumpkin Pie

Isn't this just about the cutest Thanksgiving type stamp?? I just adore it!

Both the image and the sentiment are from House Mouse. I stamped them on Whisper White and colored with my prismacolors, OMS and stardust pen.

The paper is Chatterbox and I added some primas in the corner.

Flutter By Wednesday #30

I started this card for this weeks Template Tuesday but as usual, my card didn't want to follow the sketch. LOL!
I used Monica Flutter-by as I just had to use her one more time before Halloween. I colored her with copics, prismacolors and OMS. Then I added stickles to her wings.

The paper was in my scrap pile but I think it came from a pocket full of posies stack. I used my sizzlit die for the photo corners.

Remember to leave a comment and a link if you create a Flutter By card, I'd love to see it!!
