Valerie's Spring Rain

Goodness! Time does really seem to just fly by these days! I don't know that I'm really all that busy but at the same time it does feel that way! Anyhoo, onto a card for today!!

I am still on my mission to use up the Echo Park Springtime 6x6 paper pad. I thought for sure this card would do it but nope, still have enough scraps for one more card. So very close!! LOL!

This card uses a cutie pie from Whimsy Stamps called Valerie's Spring Rain by Crissy Armstrong. Oh so very adorable!! I also used the sentiment from Whimsy Stamps Everyday Moments stamp set by SC Designs

I almost thought I was going to have to start over because as I was coloring up the image, I got the dreaded copic blob.

I really liked how the image was looking so far so I decided to see if I could save it. I *think* I did a fairly good job with the help of some paper piecing! Here's the end result~

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~
Have a fabulous day! Do something to make yourself smile!!

Paper Pretties Challenge-Lots of Layers

Time for another challenge at Paper Pretties! Be sure to head on over to the blog to see how you can play along and to see the other Pretties girls creations!

This week our challenge is~ Lots of Layers! How fun!! I know many, if not all, of us are ready for spring so today I used the super fun Happy Spring Polly stamp!

I'm entering this card into Card Makin Mama's Challenge of 3 layers or more

For my layout I used an older SFYTT~

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I was slowly replacing my older Paper Pretties stamp sets with the newer clear sets that have more sentiments. There is no sense in having 2 of these so I'm slowly giving away the older sets. Today I have Howdy Girlfriend Sophia to give away. I've used this stamp a few times and she only comes with the one sentiment.

If you'd like to be in the drawing to win her, just leave me a comment telling me what you are most looking forward to this month! I'll draw a winner next Tuesday night and announce the winner next Wednesday. (Only US residents for the drawing please)

A big Happy Birthday wish to my hubby today too!! :) Have a happy day and I'll see you back here tomorrow with some fun news!

If all else fails, add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!

Stamps~ Paper Pretties~ Happy Spring Polly
Ink~ Memento Tuxedo Black
Cardstock~ SU Chocolate Chip,

I am the first stop on the hop but if you get lost along the way be sure to check out the SCACD store blog, Follow Your Heart, for the complete hop list!
These stamps today are just beyond adorable and are absolute must have’s!! Today I’m sharing two cards with you! The first one is from The Storybook Collection and is called All Better Now. Growing up I had a teddy bear who was my faithful and trusted friend so I am just in total love with this collection and have had fun remembering those times with my teddy.

I stamped All Better Now in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with my copics. I cut the image out with my nestabilities. My paper is My Mind’s Eye-Indie Chic-Saffron. I also used my Garden Corner die from Dies by SCACD, which I added Smooch Glitz in Goldrush to them to add a bit of sparkle. To finish the card I added a few touches of White Opal Liquid Pearls and a few touches of stickles.

Next I am sharing the sweet Umbrella Peeker from Sampler #7. Doesn’t she look like she’s ready to have some fun playing in the rain? oh so cute!!

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with copics and then used my nestabilities to cut her out. I stamped her umbrella 3 extra times so I could cut them out and layer them for more dimension. I also masked the image and sponged some ink on to add some interest. My papers are Bo Bunny Barefoot & Bliss. I paper pierced the edges, added some Diamond Glaze and a few Kaisercraft rhinestones to finish the card.

After you hop be sure to head to SCACD to get your new stamps and be sure to look around because there’s lots of fabulous new goodies there! and for our International friends, these stamps will be available at Quixotic Paperie
Your next stop on the hop is the talented Amanda’s blog!
Happy Hopping and Shopping!!
