Sheetload of Cards August 2019-Express Yourself

Hello there!! I'm so happy you stopped by!!

Today I have another Sheetload of Cards to share with you but I also have some news! Check out THIS video!! (shhh, I'll give you a hint, I've been chosen to be on the Collab Team for Sheetload of Cards!!) I'm super excited! My first "official" Sheetload will be in March! Yay!

Today I am using the August 2019 Sheetload of Cards. You can find the original video HERE--be sure to like and subscribe!!

To begin, I looked through all my stamps and found the sentiments I wanted to work with and decided on a set from Stampin' Up called Express Yourself. I chose this set so that I could have each card have a different sentiment.

Next I picked out some cardstock and patterned paper and then got busy putting the cards together. I did cheat a bit and used some dies for some of the pieces and I also just used a corner rounder instead of doing a reverse fishtail for the one focal piece. I was thankful that I had two corner rounder punches as halfway through rounding the pieces one of my punches broke!! One of the few times I was happy I had a duplicate!

Thanks for stopping by!! I'll be back soon with more craftiness!

Polka Dot Pals Odelie

Even though I really, really don't like crutches (I use my scooter as much as possible!), I thought this cute digi stamp, Polka Dot Pals Odelie, from Little Miss Muffet Stamps was too cute to pass up!

Be sure to check out and play along with the new Little Miss Muffet Challenge that started today!! It's anything goes so easy peasy! Check out all the details~ HERE!

I am very thankful that I didn't have this surgery in the summertime. Although it would be easier with clothing, I'd be so embarrassed with my hairy legs as shaving is something that just doesn't happen! LOL!

I feel a little rusty with making cards so this is a super simple one to help me get my groove back!

I'm entering this into the following challenges~
Have a happy day and I'll see you back here soon!!

Ellie with Crutches

I just had to get this digi stamp, Ellie with Crutches, from The Paper Nest Dolls because it seemed appropriate with my current situation, although I don't have my arm in a splint, thank goodness!!

I thought it would make a cute get well card! I keep thinking she is some sort of supergirl though because I would not be able to manage crutches with just one arm!! Plus she looks way too cute, yup, she's a supergirl!!

I used a sketch from SCS, SC665~

Thanks so much for stopping by! I think this will be my last card for awhile because it really is hard for me to sit in my craft room for too long with the pain from the ankle. Hopefully I'll recover quickly and be back to creating in no time!

Recover Rapidly-again

Sorry for being so quiet. Many of you know that our sweet Freckles was diagnosed with a malignant tumor last June. We finally made the decision to have her put to sleep so that she doesn't suffer or feel worse. My heart is so broken and can't even describe the void in our lives without her but as the saying goes, life goes on.

I needed another get well card for a gentleman at work so I whipped this one up quickly. I think he'll appreciate it!

I hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Sorry you feel so icky

One final get well card for my theme this week. This is an old Paper Makeup Stamps stamp called Flubu. I just wanna give him some chicken soup and a hug!

I found the big banner/pennant already cut out in the paper pad so I figured I'd just use it! I like the way it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate it!! Have a happy day!

Merry Christmas!! I hope today brings you lots of happiness and love whether you celebrate or not! We are spending the holiday with Sam's mom so it will be good to be with family!  A snowstorm put an end to our travel plans so we're hanging at home which is nice too! A white Christmas is always awesome!

Today's card is continuing on with my get well theme week and uses another TAC set, Simply Sweet. I'm having the most fun this week, hoping it continues even when I go back to work!

For my layout I used an older Viva La Verve Sketch~

Get Whale Soon!

Sam asked me for a get well soon card for one of the guys he works with. I said "sure, no problem". Ha! Tell me how one stamp hoarder can NOT have hardly any masculine type stamps! Good grief!

Today's card uses an old TAC set, Oh Happy Day. I liked the punny saying with this fun whale.

I've been thinking about trying my theme weeks again and decided, why not! So this week my theme is Get Well. I may be inconsistent with them but they do help me use stamps and supplies that I normally don't use so when I can I will have them.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope your day is wonderful!

I'd also like to point out--no coloring and no sparkle! I am capable of it! LOL! These are 4x4 size if that helps you to judge the size of the images.

I also wanted to show a picture of how tiny the new Petite Curly Label punch is! I just love it..so teeny tiny compared to the original Curly Label punch! The Curly Label is about 1 1/2 inches square and the Petite Curly Label is 3/4 inch square. There are stamp sets to go with it too!! FUN!
