Quite a while ago I had started a series here on my blog of taking cards that I made when I first started stamping and then re-doing them (That was then, this is now). You can see the previous posts HERE! Thought it would be fun to try and continue on...so...

I haven't done one of these in a while....thought that this stamp was pretty relevant to how I'm feeling tonight. Just one of those days where I feel totally overwhelmed. But this too shall pass!!

Anyhoo, for those of you who are new to my blog, I have started a series of That was then, This is now posts. I post a photo of a card I did years ago when I was first starting out and then I re-make the card using the same stamp. Just a fun thing to do and see.

I remember how pleased I was with this card because I had stamped the little lamb on colored cardstock and colored it with my pencils and it looked so nice--to me then. Still a cute card but you know the drill....

I know a few people (hi Janna) have been wondering where my That was then, this is now posts have been so I thought I better get one done. Just too many stamps and not enough time! LOL!

I don't know what I was thinking with this card. I think I was trying embossing but not sure.

I will be having cards like this that are more simple so they are easy to mail for the card ministry at church. For those of you who asked about it, for now the ladies bible study is going to send out a few cards each week to randomly selected people from the prayer requests from the church. We hope this will bring a smile to them and let them know that we care and are praying for them.

Time for another that was then, this is now!! I'm having the best time with these. I remember how proud I was of this card as I used my Fiskars Texture Plates for it.

I've heard from many of you that you enjoy these posts so I will continue them. It's a lot of fun for me too! This card was my first one that I was so proud of! I stamped the background, woo-hoo! Now looking at it, all I see is those uncolored bears {shudder}!! LOL!

I recently posted the first card I ever made--Here's the post in case you missed it --- and that got me thinking how fun it would be to post a card I made a while ago and one I made today with the same stamp set, so I hope to have lots of these "That was then, This is now" posts--just for fun!
So I figured I needed to start this off with that "wonderful" first card.

So what do you think? Should I go back to the way I made the first one? hehehe!

I have loved everyone's comments today on my post below about my first card. Soooo....I had an idea that I will start soon.
I will post one of my old cards, and then a new one using the same set. This will help me get those older sets out and also help me really "see" how far I've come!
