That's Krafty Thursday #43 and more...

Another challenge I have always bookmarked but never played along with is The Spotted Chick's Krafty Thursday's. This week is a sketch challenge so I thought it would be the perfect time to join in the fun since I love sketches!

Here's the sketch~ If you look really closely at my card you can see the sketch...my image was a bit larger and well, I had to improvise. LOL!

Of course the hardest part for me is choosing an image. Eeeny meany miney mo led me to use a digi from Tiddly Inks, Katrina. My card base is Kraft so that this can fit into the That's Krafty Thursday. My designer paper is Basic Grey's Jovial. (Don't tell Trixie that I made a holiday card without her, I might not hear the end of it. I didn't plan on making a holiday card when I started out.)

The sentiment I used is from the Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Special Edition Ornament Collection

I'm also entering this in the SSC Copic Challenge Corner's challenge for the week, to use red and green
Ohh, I and just saw the challenge at Tiddly Inks is Christmas so I'm entering this card there too!

The little details~ digi-Katrina, copics, kraft cardstock from PTI, cardstock, Basic Grey Jovial, Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Special Edition Oranament Collection, Petaloo velvet poinsettias, American Crafts metallic gold pen, copic glitter pen,

Hope Awareness Fairy

I've had this stamp for quite a while now and sadly it's not been inky. I thought it would be a nice stamp for October, for Breast Cancer Awareness, but I can see how it could be used for other occassions/ribbons as well.

I used this tutorial for making the tent topper card.

Post it Note holder

I really should never say never! LOL! First I said I was never going to stamp, umm, yeah. Then I was never going to buy those "expensive" markers..umm, yeah, was never going to try any of those "fancy" techniques, umm yeah, and I most certainly was not ever going to like doing "projects". Sigh. Guess it was only a matter of time before I caught the project bug.

A main reason has been playing around with the Make The Cut software on the Cricut but even then, there are tons of neat things to make easily. So today I decided I wanted to try these cute little Post It Note holders I've seen so often.

This is also the first time I've tried the Out of the Box with Nestabilities technique too. That was fun and I can see myself doing that more!

This was so easy and I can see they would make great easy gifts for teachers and such. This first one is a bit off but not to shabby for a first try!

supplies:
  • stamps: TAC Wonder and Joy,
  • paper: scraps,PTI cardstock,
  • ink: Memento Tuxedo Black,
  • others: scor-tape, copics, nestabilities, Martha Stewart punch, rhinestones from my stash,

I was sooo excited to find out that she had opened an Etsy store to offer some digi stamps!! I'm telling you, these are just TOO CUTE!!

On the first day she launched her store, she gave away a free image to those who commented on her blog. Luckily I was one of those people so here's my first card using Pumpkin Tiny Girl.

I also had to use one of my new paper pads...oh my, I am so in love with this paper~~ Prima Fairy Flora

Oh no! I'm laughing at myself! I was having so much fun creating this card that I didn't pay attention when I put it together and it opens backwards! LOL! Guess it'll go to someone who is a very close friend! LOL! Speaking of which, I need new RAK addresses...if anyone would like to be on  my RAK list, please email me your address. Thanks! (I don't expect anything in return, I just love sending cards!)

Here's my creation for today~ I made a little shopping bag with my Cricut (Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge) then I colored and cut out the fun Thomas Turkey. I made a little mat for him with my Cricut-Make The Cut program, embellished a tad and tada--a fun little fall bag.

I had thoughts of using this as a centerpiece or table decoration but couldn't think what to put in it...then I thought how fun it would be to have autumn leaves in it...well, being in the desert, that is not an option here so we're just pretend that there's a gorgeous autumn leave bouquet in the bag, okay?

supplies:
  • bag size: approx. 4 x 3
  • stamps: digi- Thomas Turkey,
  • paper: SU cardstock, PTI cardstock, scrap cardstock,
  • ink:
  • others: copics, Cricut, SU marker, leaf punches, scor-tape,
Next I used the new image,Cute Sitter Witch, to make a cute card~ I am already sort of burned out on the "typical" Halloween colors so I gave her some brighter colors. As the card progressed, I realized that it's a very pretty Halloween card, didn't know that was possible! LOL!

Now you should continue the hop on to Angela's fabulous blog! And don't forget to go shopping when you're done with the hop!!

    Violet

Trying to fit in a challenge here and there that I keep wanting to play along with but rarely get to.

One of them is The Wild Flower Patch #35-anything goes as long as you use a Wild Flower Patch image.

I recently purchased some new digis from The Wild Flower Patch and had some printed out so I just used the first one I found, which was the sweet Violet

I also used the same Taylored Expressions kit that I used yesterday-Morning Meadow.

I also used this week's sketch from Unscripted Sketches #76

A quick Danni tip too~~ for those teeny tiny embellishments that are hard to place, use the Embellie Gellie.....what an awesome little gadget! Makes it so much easier to deal with lil' embellishments!

    A bit of Whimsy...

Have you visited Whimsy Stamps this week? No? well my goodness, you need to! Lots of fun new stuff released....new Christmas rubber stamps, new digis, new Meljen's Designs on pre-order in rubber...wow...be sure you check it all out!!

I thought I'd use a few of the new digi's for you today.

First off we have an image from this past Thursday's Meljen's Designs digi release, this image is called Country Star Pumpkin. So many fun autumn and Halloween images to choose from and I am *pretty sure* more are on the way!

    supplies:
Next I used the new digi from Crissy Armstrong, Anna's Halloween. This digi is special as it was named and drawn for blogging friend, Mary's granddaughter! Check out her amazing card using this sweet image, HERE!

Here's what I came up with~I also used the new digi Halloween Ticket Sentiments on this card. I had fun crinkling up the ticket and then adding touches of Old Paper Distress Ink to it.

I really didn't know what paper to use with the image but then Kristie and I challenged each other to use some of our Taylored Expressions Key Ingredient kits so I pulled out the first one I ever got, Morning Meadow and used the paper/ribbons from it.

I wanted to do something around the edge of the image but didn't know what until I got my latest TAC (The Angel Company) order in the mail. I inked up my new Basic Blooms and went around the image with one of those stamps, love how it turned out!
