Challenge #53 at my group, There's a Stamp For That has the themes of Otters or Polka Dots or Slimline. For today's card I went with the otters and polka dot theme.
I used a super cute retired Kraftin' Kimmie set, From the Otter Side for my card. Such sweet otters!!
For my layout I used an older Mojo Monday Sketch.
Otters are just so fun to watch! Now I wanna go to the zoo! hehe!

It's time for another Four on Friday! My friend, Alicia and I have a collaboration series called "Four on Friday". Every few Fridays, we will be sharing 4 different projects using the same technique, tool or type of product. To see previous Four on Friday posts, click HERE!
Today we're making 4 cards/projects using stencils! We both haven't used them very often so we thought this would be a fun way to get more familiar with them and hopefully use them more often.
My first card uses a Kraftin' Kimmie stencil, Stained Glass. I thought it would work well for a honeycomb look to go with the Kraftin' Kimmie Sweet as can Bee! stamp set! I mean, how cute are those bees!! I just wanna scoop them up and hug 'em!

For my last card I thought it would be fun to use a stencil on some patterned paper. I found a scrap and then used the Kraftin' Kimmie Mermaid Scales Stencil on it. I really like the effect it produced! I'll be doing this more in the future!! I paired my paper with the Kraftin' Kimmie stamp set, My Happy Place. She makes me smile!

EEEK!! I am soooo excited!! Sweet November has always been one of my favorite lines of stamps. They have been sold in numerous stores but now they have their own shop!! Yay!! Amy Young is the mastermind behind all these fabulous digi stamps and she is one of my most favorite artists!! Not only does she design amazing stamps but she also creates the BEST cards! Her scene cards are simply out of this world. If you haven't checked out her blog, grab a cup of coffee and sit back and enjoy!! You can see some of my previous Sweet November cards, HERE! Today I'm beyond excited as Amy asked if I could create a card using the new mermaid, Belly Rubs, that is being released today! I didn't think twice before I said yes, I'd love to!! I just hope I did the sweet, wonderful mermaid and her otter friend justice! I decided to be brave and create a scene so I used Belly Rubs and one of the awesome Background Builder Sets, Surfacing. I pictured these friends in a nice quiet pool that doesn't have any waves, just enjoying the day.
I think for my first digi scene card it turned out fun!! Be sure to head on over to the Friends of Sweet November Stamps Facebook group as I know there will be other designers showing off this awesome mermaid!! Have the best day ever!!
