Digi Choosday- Walking the Dog

It's time for another Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Challenge!! Be sure to visit the blog for today's discount code and to see the other fabulous creations from the design team.

The challenge is "Anything Goes" but the design team was challenged to create a card with the theme of Summer, Bright Colors and Something Cheerful!

I chose Winnie Walking the Dog from the Starfish/Sandcastles Collection. She just seemed all summery with her big hat on and the cute dog just melted my heart with the sunglasses on.

I used the digital papers from the Winnie Sunshine Delights Paper Pack 2 for my papers. They probably aren't quite as bright as I could have gone but they just made me smile and think of summer!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day!

Mermaid Monday- Mermaid Reading Adventure

It's time for another Mermaid Monday! Today's card uses a cute mermaid from a new shop I found on Instagram/Etsy called Streamside Studio. They have some of the sweetest, cutest images!!

My little mermaid today comes from the Mermaid Reading Adventures digital stamp set. I just fell in love with these images when I saw them!!

I used some copic colorless blender and an old dishrag to get the texture in the water. Such an easy technique that gives great results!

I added glossy accents to the glasses and bubbles to make them stand out just a tad more. Of course her tail had to be sparkly and for that I used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen. I added some Twinkle Stickles around the oval that the image is on for just a little more sparkle. Some rhinestones finished off the card. So fun!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

That's what friends are spore!

This weekend there was a fun event in the DigiMojo Facebook Group. There were lots of sponsors, lots of games and several freebies and new images in the sponsor shops.

Sweet November Stamps was a sponsor and they had the cutest release of Midsummer Mushrooms. When I first heard mushrooms I thought, "no way, not for me" but them I saw them and they are adorable!! Amanita was free to the members of DigiMojo so I grabbed her up quickly! Can't wait to get the rest of her friends as I envision a little mushroom patch, hehe!

I'm super excited that I finally figured out the whole scene making thing with digi stamps. I've had the basics but couldn't figure out how to get it the size I wanted. I got it perfect with this scene as I wanted to make a mini slimline card. The possibilities are endless now! 😀

I created my scene with Amanita and her mushrooms and then added little Sonata from the Briar and Sonata digi. I colored the scene with my copics and added details with a white pen. Next I cut the scene out with my Kat Scrappiness Mini Slimline Cross-Stitched Dies.

I just love how it came out. I feel my scenes are getting better. Still lots to learn and practice but I'm not as horrified to make them anymore.

Have an amazing day!!

Girl with Ice Cream

Time for another card using a digi from Sweet Escape Digis!! Today I colored up Girl with Ice Cream. She's just so pretty!!

I really love how she turned out. Sometimes I don't think my coloring is that great but I really am proud of this coloring. It helped that the digi was shaded some to help with shadows and such.

Have an amazing day and smile!

Four on Friday- She Sells Seashells Stencil

It's time for another Four on Friday with my friend, Alicia!! This has to be one of my most favorite collabs!! Every few weeks we each post four projects with the same product, technique, type of card, etc. but we don't tell each other what we're doing so it's a surprise for us too!

Today I'm creating four cards using the She Sells Seashells Stencil from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. It is fun to see how you can use one stencil but with different stamp sets and inks/gels to create different looks.

First up I used some Nuvo Glacier Paste in Pineapple Delight with the stencil. I've had it for awhile so it was fun to use it. It is very sparkly while wet and then shimmery and gold-ish when dry on the blue. I think I'll be sparkling for quite a bit after using this! But it's so pretty! I paired this background with the Kraftin' Kimmie Beach Blanket Bingo stamp set

For my second card I used some Kraftin' Kimmie inks with the stencil and then paired it with the cute Kraftin' Kimmie You're Sun-sational! stamp set.

My third card was fun! I traced the stencil with a black copic multi-liner and then colored everything in with my Stampin' Up Stamp Write Markers. I paired this background with the Kraftin' Kimmie Life is the Bubbles stamp set.

My last card I masked off a strip and then inked up the stencil. I paired this background with the Kraftin' Kimmie What's the Scoop stamp set

I really had so much fun with these cards. I really need to get out my stencils more often!!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out Alicia's video too!! Have a great day!

Elvan

It's time for me to share another card using a fabulous Sweet Escape Digis image! Today I used the very pretty Elvan. She is all ready for summer with her lemonade!

I colored her with copics and then added some touches with Prismacolor pencils.

I layered the Hello diecut with three layers so it would have some dimension. The glass of lemonade has some glossy accents on it so it would appear more realistic.

Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!!
