Hoppy Birthday, Zoe!

I decided to play along with another one of the Friday Challenges that I give to one of my yahoo groups each week. You can see the first card-HERE!

Today I'm working on Challenge #2- Use a critter!  I thought the newly released Hoppy Birthday, Zoe! by Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps would be perfect!

Normally I color my image first and then choose my designer papers but I'm really trying to use up a few 6x6 paper pads so I chose my papers first for this card and then colored my image. I must say I found it very challenging, LOL, but fun! (and the balloon is not red, it's really more of a magenta that matches the paper but the camera didn't like it!)

Anya Blooms

Finally a card! I don't know what has been going on with me but I just haven't felt like creating. No, that's not true. I want to create, have a zillion ideas running through my brain but just couldn't sit down and get anything started.

Today I made myself catalog and put away some new-to-me stamps in hopes it would make me feel like getting started. A good friend told me to pick a challenge and go. So I did! Once I got started I could feel the stress melting away. Note to self~ creating is a stress reliever and a happy place--just do it!

This is one of the new-to-me stamps, Anya Blooms from The Greeting Farm. I've had her on my wishlist for a long time and am happy she came to live with me now! Only problem is that now I want the other "big" Anya's too. LOL!

My coloring was a bit rusty but this card made me feel happy and don't the fun colors just breathe spring?

I used the current sketch at Friday Sketch Challenges~ my main image was a bit bigger than the sketch but I think you can still see the sketch in my card.

Good Pony take 2!

A friend really liked THIS card and asked if I could make her a similar one. I don't know why but when people ask me to make specific cards I get nervous but regardless I said I'd try.

Here's what I came up with. Sure hope she likes it!! It was fun to see what a difference the color combo makes--I love seeing the same stamp used on different cards!!

Winter Penelope

Can you believe that Christmas is only 4 days away? Wow! Time flies! I've been busy working--which is going real well but man, I'm wiped out when I get home!! and today Sam and I finished up all the Christmas shopping and the grocery shopping for this week, whew!! No plans for tomorrow so hopefully that means a crafty day for me!

I finished up this card tonight using a stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps. This is Winter Penelope by Elisabeth Bell.

I colored her with copics and then added some Cotton Candy Pink Sparkly Fluff to her trim. I found a piece of designer paper from my older than the hills stash and then some pearls finish the card off.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~

If all else fails-add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!

Back to School New Releases from Meljen's Designs at Whimsy Stamps!

Did you know that there are new releases every Thursday at Whimsy Stamps? Yup, Meljen's Designs releases new images every Thursday!! How fun is that?

Today I'm showing you some creations I made with this week's NEW Digis

I used ABC Patches, Back To School Badge and School Word Art for some fun bookmarks for my kiddos (hopefully they won't argue over them since it's an odd number..LOL).

Then I used Little Book Worm to decorate the cover of a notebook for my son so he can keep track of the books he's read.

Finally I made a card using the cute Teddy Bear Teacher.

I'm entering my creations in the Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge for this week which is Back To School. I also used the sketch from The Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #80, for the card.

Safe Travels

Hope you are all having a fabulous weekend!! Our Saturday was so fun. Since it was expected to get over 100 we decided to stay inside.

I came up with a dinosaur day! We had a dino hunt, made volcanoes, watched all the Jurassic Park movies, had a fossil hunt- fossil pretzels in popcorn and my favorite--I gave us each 2 print outs of dinos and we had to make up a story about them. We all had fun!

I know many of my family and friends are traveling this summer (my father and step-mother are coming Monday) so I thought the new image by Victoria Case for SCACD, Safe Travels, would make the perfect card. I also used my Kaisercraft Pack Your Bags paper...perfect for this image!!

I used the sketch I found at Sketch Girl~ Sketch #19

I'm also entering this card in the Stampin' For the Weekend~ Challenge #40 which had the theme summer/travel.
