I was so excited on Tuesday when I saw THIS post!! Pixie Dust Studio is coming back!! I have always adored these sweet, fun, cute digis! 

I decided to spread my happiness by coloring up this sweet girl! I have her saved as Gentry but she might have a new name now. I happened to look around the shop a bit and I see several new digis I *have* to have!! I mean look at the cute Finding Dory, Cinderella Mermaid and Ariel Mermaid!! So so cute!!

I have several paper pads on my crafty table that I'm trying to use up so you might see the same paper being used on numerous cards!

BFF

What a cute digi this is, Best Friends Forever from Pixie Dust Studio!! It just screamed to be colored and put on a card!

I colored it with my copics and then paired it with paper from my July 2010 TE Key Ingredients Kit. To finish the card  I added some buttons that have been “sewn” with scrappers floss, some touches of sparkle with copic glitter pens and stickles.

There’s not enough hours in the week--anyone else relate? I have these grand ideas all the time of all the projects/cards I want to create but I just can’t get to them all..not even close.

With me re-opening my Flutter By Challenge I decided that something had to give as I knew I just wasn’t going to be able to keep up. So as sad as I am to do it, I am stepping down from the Pixie Dust Studio DT. 

That doesn’t mean I’m going to stop using Kathy’s cute digi’s..just means I won’t be using them as a Pixie.

I appreciate all the kindness and love that Kathy has shown me and truly, truly love her and her team but sometimes we have to make the tough decisions, darn it!!

Have a good day--I’ll be sweating in my craftroom! I think summer finally found us in Washington and it’s hot, especially when you don’t have a/c! Secretly I’m thankful that the 90+ weather is only predicted for a few days and then we can get back to our nice, cool weather!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Past Bedtime

I just had to color up this cute digi-Past Bedtime from Pixie Dust Studio that was a freebie on the Pixie Dust Studio Fan Page Facebook Group. I love her little bunny slippers and cute teddy bear.

I colored her with my copics and then carefully cut her out. Of course bunny slippers need to be fluffy so I added some fun flock to them. I used Lily Bee Head Over Heels paper--which is discounted right now at SCACD! I added some punched out hearts, some faux stitching and a few touches of stickles to finish the card.

i am Poppy

Playing today with one of the newest digi’s from The Pixie Dust Studio! This is i am Poppy and is one of a new little world of images that are going to be coming to Pixie Dust Studio!

I printed her out and then colored her with my copics. The paper and buttons are from an older Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients Kit. I added some scrappers floss to the buttons so they would look more finished. To finish the card I added a few touches of sparkle with stickles and a few shiny touches with Diamond Glaze.

Pixie Celebrates!

A huge birthday wish to Kathy--owner/illustrator of Pixie Dust Studio! Hope you have a wonderful day full of lots of sprinkles and sparkles!!
Only fitting to use the new Pixie Celebrates digi on this happy day!! Isn’t she just adorable!!

I printed her out and then colored her with copics. She is cut out using my nestabilities. I embossed the white layer with my Cuttlebug Once Upon a Princess embossing folder. Finished the card with lots of sparkle from stickles.

Enjoy your day! We’re off to a picnic for the Curves that I work at as the owner is celebrating 10 years of being in business! should be lots of fun, especially since summer finally found us here in Washington!

Nautical Pixie

I couldn’t resist coloring up one of the new Pixie Dust Studio newest digi’s--

This is Nautical Pixie! How fun is she? Where would you travel to in your Pixie boat?? I think everyone knows I’d be headed for Africa for a safari!

I colored the image with my copics and then paired her with My Mind’s Eye-Fine and Dandy-True Blue paper. I added some fun clouds and stickles to finish the card.

Pixie Travels the Globe

This week our theme is Travel! Which is perfect for the new digi’s that are being released tomorrow!! You won’t want to miss them!

For my card today I used the super cute new digi- Paris Pixie. I printed her out and then colored her with my copics. I used my nestabilities to cut her out and then I paired this cutie with Kaisercraft Road Trip paper. 

I kept the card simple so the image could be the spotlight but did add some finishing touches of sparkle with my copic glitter pens and stickles.

The first Pixie Flix Challenge!

I’m a few days late with this card but I so wanted to play along and I hope you will too!! Check out the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog for all the details and see the other Pixie’s creations!!

It’s the Pixie’s first Pixie Flix Movie Challenge!! I am so excited about this new challenge that we’ll be having once a month--super fun!!

Let’s see if you can guess the movie we’re featuring~

• It begins with a Summer romance and ends with a Graduation.
• It is a musical set in the 50's.
• The girls LOVE Pink.
• The girls have a sleepover.
• The boys have a car race.
• The title refers to an item found in cars and hair.

Here’s my card, which you have to use your imagination a bit but it’s inspired by one of my favorite characters from the movie and yes, she does have pink hair in part of the movie! I used the digi-March Pixie as I thought her curls and facial features reminded me of the character from the movie.

 

I colored her with my copics and copic glitter pens and then cut her out. I paired her with some Dovecraft Glamour paper. I used my nestabilities to cut out a “background piece” for her to stand on and then embossed it with my Crafts-Too Spots embossing folder. I finished the card off with a strip punched with a Martha Stewart border punch and a few extra little details~ stickles and rhinestones.

Feed The Birds

A cute little card today using one of the newly released digi’s from Pixie Dust Studio, Feed The Birds.

 
I printed her out and then colored her with my copics. I’m just loving this release, so so cute! I paired her with Basic Grey Lime Rickey.  I used my Garden Corner die from Dies by SCACD for the corner. To finish the card I added a few finishing touches-stickles, Kaisercraft rhinestones and copic glitter pens.

To go along with the new release, Feed The Birds, our challenge this week is the theme of Birds. Here’s my card using the new digi, What Shall I do?  I think this little cat with his bird friends is just so darling!

 
I used my copics to color in the image and then cut it out with my nestabilities. Thought I’d have some fun so I used kraft cardstock and my A Muse polka dot paper. I added a few finishing touches but I left it on the simple side so the cute image could take center stage.

New Pixie Dust Studio Release is coming!!

 

I don’t have a creation to share with you today but wanted to be sure and let you know that on Thursday there is a new Pixie Dust Studio digi stamp release, Feed The Birds! It’s super cute so be sure to watch Kathy’s blog for some sneak peeks!!

Also wanted to give a big Pixie welcome to the new Pixie’s who were announced on Sunday!

I have the next couple days off from work so I hope to get busy and get crafting and have something to share soon!! Have an awesome day!

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Time!

It’s time again for another challenge with the Pixie’s!! Be sure to check out the blog for all the details on how you can play along and to see the other Pixie’s creations!
This week our challenge is to use 3 or more patterned papers on our creations! I actually like using several patterned papers on my cards usually so this challenge was pretty easy for me.
I used the cute Prairie Pixie for my card. I printed her out and then colored her with my copics. For my papers I used some scraps of my TAC Penelope.

 
I added some paper piercing, stickles and a button with twine to finish the card.

Pixie Dust Studio Challenge- Summer!

It’s time for another Pixie Dust Studio Challenges! Be sure to visit the blog to find out how you can play along!
This week our theme is Summer! I always wanted to do a lemonade stand when I was younger but never did so I’m living out a dream in my card today featuring the cute digi Making Lemonade! So tell me, did you ever have a lemonade stand??
I printed out the cute digi and then colored it up with my copics. I added some polka dots to her tablecloth with my Sharpie extra fine point white paint pen. I used Basic Grey Picadilly for my papers--yes I’m still stuck on Basic Grey, I fear!

 
My hubby came in while I was working on this and he gave me the idea to add clouds--very clever! So I used my TE cloud die and then embossed them with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I added some Doodlebug sticker jewels and stickles to finish the card.

Charisma Cardz Challenge #20

Playing along with one more challenge before I need to get some other projects done, hehe! This one caught my eye, Charisma Cardz Challenge #20- No Flowers Allowed!
I used the super sweet Pixie Loves To Color that was just released from Pixie Dust Studio! I printed her out and then cut her out with my circle nestabilities and colored her with my copics.


I paired her with Kaisercraft Class of 87 papers. I embossed the red square with my Crafts-Too Spots embossing folder. To finish the card off I added some Doodlebug sticker jewels.

For The Boys

It’s time for a new Pixie Dust Studio Challenge!! Be sure to head on over to the blog and see how you can play along!

Our challenge this week is For The Boys! I struggle with masculine/boy cards but thought I’d give it a go! I used the super cute Bashful for my image and am going to write on the inside~ Don’t be afraid to be yourself~ and give it to my son.

I added some texture to the paper bag with a towel and some copic blender solution. Thought it turned out pretty neat.

Spring Zebra

Kathy, owner of Pixie Dust Studios, emailed the team recently with the request of cards for a little girl who is battling a lifelong illness and currently in a low state of health where she cannot even attend school. The highlight of her day is walking out to the mailbox-if she feels up to it-and finding mail for herself.

She loves zebras so I thought it would be fun to send her a card using Pixie Dust Studio’s Spring Zebra. I hope it brings a smile to her face!
