Merry Christmas with Holiday Anya 3

My goodness! It's been a few weeks since my last card, sorry about that. I got in a funk of sorts and creating just wasn't on the agenda. I think that funk is lifting plus I'm on vacation now until the 31st so hopefully I'll have LOTS of crafty goodness to share soon!

If you know me you know that holiday/winter cards are really just not my thing. I looked back and in 2013, I made 242 cards and out of those only 15 were holiday/winter ones. In 2014, I made 144 cards and again, only 15 were holiday/winter. This year I've made 82 cards and only 1 has been holiday/winter. I don't know why I don't make more. I have lots of winter/holiday stamps, lots of ideas but I just don't follow through. I'm really, really hoping to change that starting now (and hopefully continuing into 2016)!!

Today I have a card using a cutie from The Greeting Farm called Holiday Anya 3. I don't see her in the store so she might be retired. I had fun making her hand muff and scarf all sparkly and fluffy.

Fintastic Friends

Hello there! I hope everyone is having a fabulous week! Mine is on the upside now~we had a horrible weekend with Sam, Belle and myself all being sick. Luckily we're all on the mend now.

Today's card uses the uber cute digi stamp from The Greeting Farm called Coralina Merbean. I had fun coloring her up with her blue hair! I almost feel I went a little too heavy with the embellishments/die cuts but I was having fun so I left them.

Hello Hello!

It's my favorite time of year!!! Autumn!! Oh how I love thee! Cooler days, falling leaves, gorgeous colors, pumpkin everything...LOL!! Yup, it's my favorite!!

I'm going to attempt to have a month long theme of Autumn/Halloween cards. Even if it's just autumn colors. We'll see how I do. I tend to get bored easily and not stick to my ideas but maybe since this is my favorite time of year I can follow through!

I'm also going to attempt to get back into the routine of actually mailing out the cards I make! Crazy, I know! I challenge you to do the same!!

For my card today I used a digi that I've had printed out forever, Fairy Autumn by The Greeting Farm. She was fun to color in nice warm oranges and yellows!

I got a new heat gun from Stampin' Up so I was itchin' to do some heat embossing. It's been so long since I've attempted it and I do believe I need some practice but it turned out decent. I need to get better at getting all the little bits off before I heat it.

Tons of Fun

For my early birthday present I got a set of 60 Zig Clean Clear Markers. These markers are really like no other! I watched a few videos about them before I got them and plan on watching more to learn as I go but I couldn't wait to try them out!

In case you are interested in these markers, I found Jennifer McQuire's videos the most helpful: This link takes you to her first video on these! Be sure to watch all 3 though!

For my first try at these I used the adorable elephant from the SugarPea Designs set- Tons of Fun! I think I did pretty well for my first try with these markers. A little bit of a learning curve but not too bad. Fun to try other coloring techniques besides always reaching for the copic markers!

I have challenged myself to complete each sketch that SugarPea Designs has put out as well so I'm starting with Sketch 1 for this card!!

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges~

You make me happy!

Way back in November I challenged myself to use up 10 6x6 paper pads so that I could get a new one. I have been good and not bought any new ones but I've only finished off 1 6x6 paper pad. I decided I wanted to work on this a bit more diligently so I'm determined to finish off my Basic Grey Lemonade pad so be prepared to see several cards all with the same colors/paper!!

I used my new Day Off Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm. I thought it was appropriate since I only seem to find energy to craft on my days off anymore. LOL! Her hair really threw me as to how to color it so I peeked at The Greeting Farm site and CASE'd how Alyce had colored it.

Winter Coat

Today I have a card for you using one of the newly released stamps from Whimsy Stamps, Winter Coat by Time For Tea Designs. What an awesome stamp!

I'm rather proud of my coloring on this stamp as I tried a new color combo for the reds. I've always struggled with reds and so when Crissy Armstrong offered me some advice on coloring them, I took it!! (check out her card HERE using reds, isn't it amazing!!)  I've never been brave enough to really use some of the darker reds but I can see now the depth it brings so hopefully I'll practice more and get better.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!! I have some errands to run but I'm hoping to get one or two more cards done. I'm loving having more days off and loving that my mojo is here!!

Fall Love

Hello!! Anyone still out there? Sorry for being so long in between posts. We're still adjusting to all the changes in our family with school, new jobs for Sam and I and all that jazz plus it was my birthday last week and my present was a cold that has zapped my energy but I *think* and hope that I'm getting over it so maybe this week will be more crafty!!

I know you didn't come here for my whining so let's get on with today's creation!! I colored up the Whimsy Stamp by Time For Tea Designs called Fall Love. I think I've mentioned *a few times* that autumn is my favorite season so it only seemed fitting to have this fabulous stamp.

I really liked how this one turned out. It just makes me happy and makes me smile!

A quick post tonight as my Mom is visiting and I need to get to bed and get some sleep so I'm ready for our day tomorrow at the County Fair to see one of Annabelle's paintings on display for the entire school district!!

I did get the job at the zoo--not sure I updated about that. I am starting on Tuesday and will work as a cashier first and then move to other areas. I'm beyond excited!!

Flowers on the Beach

Finally a card! Woo-hoo! I must admit I felt a bit rusty though with coloring and putting it together but it's such a cute image, hopefully that makes up for any mistakes I made. LOL!

There is sparkle on the tail but it didn't show up in the photos well.

Good Pony

I've been waiting for some time to just sit and play and this weekend that finally happened!

I had so much fun with this card using a stamp by Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps~ Good Pony. Belle is really in a "horse" phase right now so I've been stocking up on horse related stamps plus it helps me tackle my fear of coloring animals.

Here's Belle's fabulous coloring of this great stamp~ She's 9 for those that don't know.

And here's my creation~

I colored the image with copics and then paired it with my favorite Carta Bella Giddy Up paper. The sentiment is from my SU Oval All set and then punched out with SU punches. I used my favorite Martha Stewart butterfly punch and then used this handy tip to make the pennants/flags! I added some sparkle with stickles and then a few pearls finished off the card.

Hope you have a fabulous day and thank you for stopping by!

Variations Week at Sweet Pea Stamps- Wither

It's time for one of my most favorite weeks at Sweet Pea Stamps~~Variations Week! This is a week each month where all the designers are given an image to work with and we all create a project using that image. It's so fun to see all possibilities with the same image!! Be sure to visit the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog each day to see what everyone came up with!!

This month we are using a digi stamp by Rebecca Sinz called Wither. You can find this digi~ HERE or also in rubber form~ HERE

One of the reasons I love when we do these weeks is that it helps you see stamps in a different light. I have bypassed this stamp numerous times in the store thinking "it's not for me" but oh my!! What a beautiful stamp and I had so much fun coloring it up!!

Wither is colored with copics and then paired with Bazzill's Wayfarer designer paper. I inked all the edges of the papers with Delicata Golden Glitz ink. Some stickles and pearls finish off the card.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~
Have a wonderful day! I'm feeling tons better, still a bit tired but better. We went to the zoo today and that always helps me smile! Thanks for all the well wishes!
