Not craft related, but a question...

Although it's not craft related, I have a question for you today!! 

What brand skincare/makeup do you use? 

I'm finding that I'm feeling all girly lately as Belle and I have been painting our nails weekly so I've been looking into getting a new skincare system and possibly some new makeup. So just curious what you use and why you like it!

Flowers, flowers, flowers

I have been so blessed by friends to receive new flower goodies for my crafting but I just shoved them into my flower drawer and pretended they didn't exist. 

I really think my flower drawer has been a hinderance when it comes to me using flowers on my creations because every time I opened it to find a flower or flowers, it would overwhelm me and I'd close it and do something different.

Finally today I took the time to organize it, whew! I'm so pleased with the end result and hope this means lots of flowery creations to come. 

It was also interesting to find which colors I had the most/least of. 

For now I just put all the color groups into baggies and will figure out something once we move. 

How do YOU store your flowers?

How do you choose??

My kids have 1/2 days all this week at school and next week is spring break so things are a bit out of "routine" for me and if you know me, I'm a routine girl! LOL!

We don't have any plans though so hopefully that means lots of crafty time for me but we'll see. Yesterday we had tons of errands to do so I didn't get any crafting done---which is why there isn't a new creation today. 

Anyhoo, I'm having a serious case of Veruca Salts from Willy Wonka!! I want it all and I want it now---in regards to stamps!! There are so many awesome stamps out there and so little funds in my account to buy them with!! 

So my question to you~~ how do you choose what stamps/crafty supplies to buy?

I am so happy to be making some cards for a new, sweet friend. Some of her requested cards will need some African American images on them. I have a few but am looking for more. I know Mo Manning has several digis as does Saturated Canary and Phindy’s Place. Anyone know of more sites that have African American digi’s or stamps?

Advice for a brand new card maker?

I might be helping a wonderful lady who was at our BBQ for the 4th of July learn to make cards so I wanted to ask YOU~~what tips/advice would you give to someone just starting out? What supplies are “have to have’s”??

Favorite Die Cutting Machine??

I’m having my own little issues today so thought I’d ask and see what everyone likes as far as Die Cutting Machines…please tell me your favorite and why!!

I have the Big Shot and I do like it but am finding it difficult for some of the delicate, intricate dies it’s not working so well…or maybe it’s operator error!!

Anywho, please help me out and let me know you’re favorite! Thanks!!

Because I’m nosey…

I was going to make a “favorites” post today only to discover that Blogger is not my friend and won’t bring up all my posts for each month. Sigh.

I store all my photos of my cards/creations by Stamp Company on my computer so that wasn’t helpful for finding the ones from each month during 2011. A friend said she stored hers by month.

So my question to you, because I’m nosey…how do you store your photos of your creations on your computer??

I’ll be back soon with another Christmas card..for the current challenge..yay!

I know it’s been asked before..

I know these questions have been asked all over blogland a zillion times but I’m always curious to see if people have found a new product/technique/etc. so I’m asking again~

1. What is your favorite paper to use with copics?  I have been using PTI’s but am finding it so thick when I want to cut out an image so I wondered what other papers people use and get good results with.

2. What is your favorite ink to use with copics? I use Memento but this past weekend I saw a friends stamped images with Brilliance and wow, they looked awesome so I’m just curious.

Just have to ask…

Do you ever have something that is just nagging you..that you can’t get out of your head? well, here’s mine…..

Ever since The Angel Company closed I have really, really, really missed having that part of my crafting. It’s hard to explain but I just love being a part of a company, selling it, meeting people, etc.

Stampin’ Up is something I really would love to do but I’m not at a point to give up my design teams/linking to the stores of design teams so that’s out.

A Muse is saturated with friends and really, as great as their products are, not really for me.

That brings us to Close To My Heart. I had originally said no, not my thing to this company too but with their latest catalog and the Cricut cartridge and well, all of it…I’m very intrigued.

My question is this~~ do you have a CTMH consultant? if not, is it something you might be interested in if I had a separate blog with lots of inspiration and such? If the interest is there, I’d be willing to set up hostess clubs and other fun things….(and to my local crafty group, I know you have a consultant and wouldn’t expect anything from you all!)

It’s just something I can’t let go of but instead of following my impulsive side, I’m trying to be logical about it…so just had to ask! Thanks and thanks for your honesty in advance!!

Thursday? really?

How on earth is it Thursday already? Wow!! 

I still don't have a creation for you. Sigh. I just haven't felt the greatest this week and my mojo is missing. I am so hopeful to get something created soon! I know I'll have some fun starting Friday as my friend, Jennie, is coming to visit and we're going to be getting crafty a bit!!

Anyhoo, while I find my muse again....tell me who inspires you in the crafty world? I know I have a list a mile long but wondered who inspires YOU!!

I've been crafting, just it seems that things are taking me a bit more time than they use to so no creation yet to show you today but....wanted to ask a few questions~

It's the couch's fault...

I had grand plans to stamp yesterday and get ahead on projects and such but well, the couch held me hostage. It even had the nerve to make me close my eyes for long periods of time. LOL!

Hope you have a great Monday!! My kids are going back to school today after two weeks off so now maybe I can get back in the routine of leaving comments and such...there just aren't enough hours in the day!

Got sidetracked...

Eek!! I ended up getting the Make The Cut software for my Cricut last night and well, I was having so much playing around and learning it that I ran out of time to create a project for today.

Tomorrow I will have something fun to show you though as it's blog hop time with the Whimsy Digi team so be sure to stop back!

And for you Cricut users who have the Sure Cuts A Lot software or the Make The Cut software...do you have a favorite place to find the svg files?? I found several sites but umm, it's rather addicting...heheehe!

Wait for it...

Those of you with children will recognize the title of this post from Phineas and Ferb...sad but I actually enjoy that show. LOL! (edited to add, I guess it's from another show too--an adult one, so sad that I don't get to watch many adult shows...LOL!!)

Anyhoo, I am planning on working on some cards today and hopefully have one to show you later. I am dealing with the not so fun desert allergies/sinus ickies so my creating has been a bit slow.

I already got myself the copic class at the Color Me Creative Classroom and also a subscription to Suzanne and Marti's publication, Through the Craftroom Door...oh and new copics but I'm thinking maybe a new die or stamp might have to come home too...so give me some ideas!!
