LOL...I got one for my niece for Christmas last year and my daughter wanted one this year. They are "whatever" albums that you "smash" (glue/tape/etc) things onto the pages. My daughter has put small polaroid pics, tickets, little notes about her day or something she did in hers. There are all sorts of accessories you can use and she has been through my stamp supplies picking out things to use in her book. Here is a link to one of the sites she pinned.... http://aussiescrapsource.typepad.com/aussie_scrap_source/kco-smash/
I can smash right along with you (grin); however, I haven't added anything to my own smash book in ages. Need to get back to it. It's such a fun project. Look forward to seeing what you do with yours. Have fun with it!
LOL, I rec'd one a year ago and still don't know what to do with it! I'm not a mixed media type of gal...what to do, what to do?!! If you could let me know when you find out, I'd appreciate it! :Dxx
I love my Smash book. Their kind of a no rules scrapbook. I put everything in mine, receipts, cards, tags, feathers, I have a few themed pages from some of my favorite shows and the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking. There is a group on Facebook with all kinds of inspiration.
you can use it for anything and everything! my daughter uses one like a journal. she puts whatever little notes/thank you cards in it and writes in it. i do the same. little mementos from here and there that i used to throw into a drawer now gets glued into my book.
That's funny! I have just bought a book and some goodies (50% off of course at Michael's). This year I am going to *smash! I only made like 2 pages, but I like it... I used some of my crafting goodies, some stamps... it's fun!
I own 3 of them...and they are all collecting dust LOL. I started one with creative things I wanted to make and quotes about creativity but never went back to it.
