Shopping Our Stash #28

Time for another Shopping Our Stash Challenge!! Be sure to visit the blog to see how you can play along and also to see the other design team members creations!

This week we’re sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps so again, be sure to check the blog so you can see how you can enter for a chance to win!!

Our challenge this week is~ Digi stamps and/or sentiments- any digital image and/or sentiment OR Recycle something from a greeting card to use on your new project.

I just got this cute Bugaboo digi, Christmas Brat Girl Dress and thought she’d be fun to color up today. Although I must admit, I’m just not feeling the holiday spirit quite yet. Seems like that happens most years…I don’t find my holiday spirit until the holidays are done..LOL! I am trying to keep my holiday cards as flat as possible for easy mailing so not a lot of embellishments on this one!

Mrs. Cleaver

I have to admit that every time I say the name or even think the name of this new Retro Crew image, Mrs. Cleaver, I just giggle. I remember watching re-runs of Leave it to Beaver when I was younger and this image really does remind me of Mrs. Cleaver.

When looking around my room for fun things to put with Mrs. Cleaver, I found some Maya Road What's Cooking chipboard...perfect! I colored the chipboard with my copics and then I painted my new fav DecoArt Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter paint over it. Voila!

Here's what I came up with~

The little details~ Mrs. Cleaver, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, copics, Maya Road What's Cooking Chipboard, October Afternoon Modern Homemaker, DecoArt Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint, copic multi-liner,

Have you checked out the new SCACD Friends With Heart Challenge Blog yet? Be sure to "follow" it so that you don't miss a thing! Challenges will start April 5th and we'll be having tons of fun!! I can't wait!!

A little notebook

I was in the mood to make something "other than a card" so I dug out some chipboard coasters I have had forever and my new Maya Road Butterflies and some other goodies and created this little notebook.

For my butterflies, I used my Smooch Spritz.  I used Gingersnap on the bottom butterfly and Frosted Grape and Vanilla Shimmer on the top butterfly. To finish everything off I added some Viva Decor Lilac Pearl Pen to make little pearls on the butterfly, some eyelets and ribbon and voila' a little notebook!

Be sure to check out the awesome videos by design team member, Marti on different ways to use chipboard too! Here and here!

Try It Out Tuesday #73

Our challenge today is to use weaving on our projects!! Be sure to check out how you can play along and all the other design team members creations--here!

While you're there, don't forget to enter the blog candy!! Remember the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD release is this Friday!!

I was a little stumped at this challenge but then I thought about some of the suggestions Suzanne had given us~~weave ribbon--cardstock--scrappers floss--thread--etc for a background or an embellishment.

I took the easier route and used some ribbon to weave. I used an Elisabeth Bell for SCACD image, Susan

For my butterflies I used the Maya Road Mini Chipboard Butterfly set and sprayed one of them with the new Maya Road Mist--very nice mist!! I used Metallic Amethyst, really pretty! Can't wait to order more! For the other two butterflies I used my Smooch Spritz in Grape Burst and Silver Foil. I must say that the Maya Road Mist works much better on the chipboard.

LOL! I got this card all completed and then realized I forgot the weaved ribbon..maybe another day! LOL! At least I have a card to share!
