Little Traveler

Today I have another "adventure" card for the challenge in the Crafty Fun With Friends of LV Handcrafted group

I thought this digi from Krista Smith, Little Traveler was perfect for the theme of adventure! Who knows where her adventure will lead her!!

I paired her with some old (2011) My Mind's Eye 6x6 Sunshine papers. This is a different color palette than what I normally work with but it is always good to stretch those creative muscles!

The sentiment comes from an old SugarPea Designs stamp set, Hats Off To You.

Have a super day and smile!

Products Used:
Krista Smith Little Traveler Digital Stamp

Hats off to You!!

A friend needed some graduation cards so I agreed to make some for her since I had this fun retired stamp set, Hats off to You, from SugarPea Designs that I have never used.

I'm also using these for inspiration for my group, There's a Stamp For That as Challenge #22 has the themes Bees or Graduation or colors: Yellow, Red, Black.

For my first card I colored up the sweet girl grad with my copics. I found a layout on Pinterest that I really liked by my friend, Anita, so I used that as my inspiration! You can see it HERE

I stamped the mortar board multiple times to make the background for the second card. I thought it was a nice way to make a more masculine card.

The third one needed to be black and red and again, masculine. I stamped the diploma this time in the background.

The last one was fun to create with the globe.

I had so much fun making these cards and hope they work well for my friend!!

Have the best day ever!

It's time for another Four on Friday with my friend, AliciaMy friend, Alicia and I have a collaboration series called "Four on Friday". Every few Fridays, we will be sharing 4 different projects using the same technique, tool or type of product. To see previous Four on Friday posts, click HERE!

This month we are making four cards or projects using buttons and brads. I don't know about you but I have tons of these around and rarely use them so it was fun to dig them out and get them onto some cards!

My first card uses an adorable retired clear stamp from Some Odd Girl called In Stitches Tia. I colored her up on Day 22 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. I used some buttons on this card as I thought it fit the sewing theme well.

You can't tell but she does have glossy accents on her glasses to make them a bit more realistic. I used some of my favorite brads on this card. I have always liked these bronzey looking ones.

Robin and Baskin

Have you seen the new Sweet November Release? Oh my goodness!! It is simply amazing! Puppy Love is definitely an appropriate name as I'm in love with all the sweet digis!! You can only get these digis at 7 Kids Craft Store so while you're there, take a looksie around as I know there's lots of fun stuff that needs a home! hehe!

If you want to see some amazing cards using these great digis, head on over to the artists blog, Amy Young, she is AMAZING (click here and here to see some cards with Puppy Love) ! She also has a Facebook page where she does live coloring and it is so neat to watch them bring stamps to life!

For my first card using this amazing release I decided to color up Robin and Baskin. Doesn't Baskin look so protective of sweet Robin?

I tried a few new things with my coloring on this one. First I tried new paper, Neenah Solar White 80 lb. I liked it because it went through my printer easily but I found it bleeds fairly easy the more you layer. I'll keep working with it and see if I like it better as I get use to it. I did like how the prismacolor pencils worked on this paper though.

I made a little pattern on Robin's shirt with my colorless blender. I like the effect it had. I tried to add some texture to Baskin. I need to practice some more but I think it turned out pretty decent. I also wanted the white on Baskin to stand out so I added a little darker color around them. At first I didn't like it but it's growing on me.

I left it simple so the image could stand out. Can't wait to color up more from this fun release!

Have a fabulous day!
