FBW #153 Lots of fun!!

There are so many fun things happening at Flutter By Wednesday this week!! Be sure to check out the blog so you don't miss a thing!! And don't forget to visit my Flutter By Team (a big Welcome to Cindy Haffner)(and a sad goodbye to Jennie)- links are on my sidebar!

One of the fun things is that Amy Young is our guest designer!! So be sure to see what she created!

Another fun thing is that we're sponsored by The Paper Shelter this week. They gave us some digi's to play with and are they ever cute!

I printed Zoe Spring a bit smaller than I had planned but I still think she came out cute. I have been trying some new things lately, like glitter/stickles and liquid pearls around the edges of my images...wanted to give Vicki a shout out as she is where I got the idea for it and I really am liking the look.

Cocoa Puff

Howdy! Trixie here again. I *finally* convinced Danni to make another holiday card. She was doing so well with finding her holiday spirit and then poof, it was gone so I've had to work extra hard! She's one tough ba-hum-bug to crack!

Before we get to Danni's card, I was asked to pass along that there are some fab new goodies at SCACD!
Now onto Danni's card~ I made asked her to go through her holiday images and find one that sparked an interest. She smiled when she got to the Victoria Case for SCACD Winter Wonderland Collection so I made asked her to pick one of those. She chose this uber cute Cocoa Puff

She seemed to drag her feet to get started but I reminded her of the last time she protested--seems there were sparkles everywhere and a certain monkey got her way--so she sat down and came up with this fabulous creation. (Don't tell Danni but I really do like her work..and oh my! I met her daughter, Annabelle--I'm going to see if I can get a gig working for her next!)

Danni started by masking off the image and sponging on ink to make the sky. Then she stamped the snowflakes that come free when you buy the whole collection of the Winter Wonderland Collection

She used sparkly fluff on the hat and gloves, Viva Decor transparent gloss gel on the mug and Viva Decor glitter liner on the snow/snowflakes. For her background she used her cuttlebug embossing folder on white cardstock and then spritzed it with Smooch Spritz in several colors.

She finished it the card with a pretty poinsettia, keeping it simple so the image (and sparkle) were the show stealers.

The little details~ Cocoa Puff, Memento Tuxedo Black, copics, cardstock, Palette Starry Night ink, VersaMagic Pretty Petunia, Palette Prussian Blue, Palette French Lilac, souflee' pen, corner rounder, Viva Decor Gloss Gel,Viva Decor Glitter liner, sparkly fluff, Smooch Spritz, cuttlebug embossing folder, Petaloo Poinsettia,

Toodles~

Our challenge today is a color challenge~ use pink, green and blue and also use Viva Decor products!!

Be sure to visit Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see what the other design team members came up with!!

I used another new image from the latest Victoria Case for SCACD Aurora 2 Collection release~ Out on the town. Aurora sure is stylish in this release!!

I used a sketch from last week's Papertake Weekly Challenge; sketch #45.
I had fun with my Viva Decor products! I used my Sunny Yellow Gloss Gel pen on the flower that Aurora is holding, for the middle of the flowers on Aurora I used my Viva Decor Glitter Liner. For Aurora's hair I added touches of Sapphire Light Blue Glitter Liner. For the pearls around the image I used my Ice White Pearl Pen. And as a final touch I used my Light Blue Pearl Pen for the pearls in the center of the flowers.

Viva Hop!!

Are ya having a wonderful time on this fun Viva hop? You should have arrived here from Judy's awesome blog! If not, please start at the beginning of the hop at Quixotic Paperie's Store Blog and hop along until ya return here!

Here's the fun reason behind the hop today~

Quixotic Paperie owned by the Fabulous Elaine and our Susana of SCACD have been partnering on efforts behind the scenes such that they consider each other International Sister Stores. They are combining efforts on certain mutual adventures starting with this awesome Viva Blog Hop which of course involves Yummy Candy!!  So make sure you stop at BOTH store Blogs HERE for SCACD and HERE for Quixotic Paperie. You will have a chance to win a set of 3 of the most popular Pens - (Ice White Pearl pen, Holographic Glitter pen and the Clear Gloss gel pen). So each Store Blog will offer up one chance to win the set. How Yummy is that?!!  The candy will run thru the 31st.
All you have to do is answer a question at each store blog - 1 entry at each STORE blog per person please!

Here's my creation for you today~ I used a stamp from Victoria Case for SCACD's latest release called New Home. I used my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen on the scallops, my Viva Decor Glitter Liner on the birdhouse and flowers, and some Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Pen on her shoes so they'd be shiny. To finish the card off I added some larger "pearls" under the image with my Viva Decor Cream Pearl Pen.

Now you should continue the hop and hop on over to Jacquie's fantastic blog!

For all you overseas, remember that this stamp and Viva products are available at Quixotic Paperie!

Cupcake Inspirations #67

Another challenge that I've always bookmarked but never played along with is the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. Always the yummiest looking cupcakes to gather your inspiration off of...yummy!

This week I loved the cupcakes~

Seriously, how totally cute are those? and those of you who have been reading me for a while know I have a new "thing" for mermaids! I had to join in on this fun challenge!

I just got my Sweet November mermaids so I had to ink up one of those!! I thought that Fathom Calmsea would work well since she had so many stars on her to go along with the starfish on the cupcakes. And Lio is just too cute!

Lately I've been coloring the water with my copics on my mermaid cards but I thought I'd try sponging it today to see how it looked. It was so much fun to play around with the different colors of sponging!

For some "extras" I added a few bubbles with my Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Gel Pen, some sparkle with my stardust pen and also some sparkle to Lio with my Viva Decor Peridot Green Glitter Liner. For the stars I used my Viva Decor Holographic Glitter Liner. For her tail I used Creative Inspirations Paint in  Autumn Wheat.

Sweet November Pearl Tidepool

I've mentioned I've really been drawn to mermaids lately so when I saw these mermaids at C.C. Designs, I had to have them.

Amy, the artist behind these beauties and all the Sweet November stamps, is just so talented! She amazes me every time I visit her blog!!

When looking at challenges, I found that this week at Die Cut Dreams Challenge the theme is Life's a beach, so I think this will work for that!

For the clear "bubbles" I used my Viva Decor Transparent Gloss Pen. For the pearls I used my Viva Decor Ice White Pearl Pen. For the additional "baubles" I used my Viva Decor Emerald Green Gloss Pen. Gotta love Viva Decor!!

For her tail and top, I used my favorite, Creative Inspirations Paint in Sky Blue. I also added a touch of stardust pen to her hair. As one final touch I added Ocean Soul Smooch to her shell on her belt.

At first I thought this was going to be a very simple card and wasn't sure how I'd like it but once I got it done, I really {heart} it. Amazing what a few "extra" touches can do!

I also wanted to give a big welcome to all the new girls on the PMS DT!! You can see who they are on the PMS blog!! Looking forward to working with you all!!

    TGIF!!

Yay for Friday!! Although for me the days seem to be dragging by as it gets closer to Sam being home! LOL!

Today is the Makeup 4 the Weekend challenge on the PMS blog. Lisa K. challenged us to use a template of some kind.

Well...I haven't used a template before and really wasn't very brave this week so I just decided to create a card...but we'd love to see what YOU can create! Be sure to check out the PMS Blog to see how you can play along and what the other design team members created!

    Here's my card for today~

I also wanted to share real quick an idea I had and it worked! LOL! I thought of this during one of my sleepless nights..anyhoo, I have tons of stencils/templates and I thought what would happen if I used the Viva Decor Pens with them!! It's hard to see, I should've used a darker cardstock, but I just followed the stencil, carefully lifted it up and voila' a fun swirl!! I'm telling you, the possibilities are endless with these awesome pens!

    Having so much fun!!

I know I've talked briefly about the Viva Decor products from Susana's store but wow! Seriously, these are a must have for everyone!!
I just got my cute little Bazzill 6x6 Splat mat so I could start really playing with these fun products and oh my!! Now I can't wait to order more!
I just got the gloss pen in Emerald Green so I thought I'd make a few baubles...while they were wet, I tapped some Glamour Dust on them and wow..I can tell already that they are soooo gorgeous!!
And since we know I like sparkle, I even tried some of the Glamour Dust on the pearl pen too...I love it!!

I have to let these dry but you'll be seeing them used on some cards coming up this weekend!!
Have you ordered yours yet? Run and get some, you won't be sorry!! They are awesome!!
