Today's card has another digi, Flower Kaylee, that I just had so much fun coloring up!! I'm sort of in a freckle mood lately too! hehe!! I also used one of the cut files from Some Odd Girl~ Beautiful, Amazing, Fabulous. I was impressed with the difference between a fine point Cricut blade and the regular one. It cut so wonderfully! I am hopeful to use more of these cut files that Some Odd Girl has available!!
Thanks for stopping by and stop by Monday for the showcase of the new release from Some Odd Girl!!

The first layouts of 2017!
I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had starting my scrappy journey again! I think I might have even caught myself smiling!!
I fought and fought to get decent photos of the layouts but then I just decided it's not worth it. I am a person who likes to share my creations but I'm not going to lose the joy of creating over getting the perfect photo of the creation.
So these are not the best photos but I think they will still give you the idea of the layout!
For all of the layouts I made yesterday I used the CTMH Make It From Your Heart series of books. I love CTMH when I'm scrappin! All of these pages use retired papers and accents from CTMH.
The next two layouts go together. I was so pleased with myself that I stamped on these layouts!! I used the SU Gorgeous Grunge for the little "dirt" spots! I enjoyed using some of my embossing folders as well!
Have an amazing day! Sam took a few days off for us to have more family fun so today we're off to see the movie Sing and then tomorrow we're off to the zoo. Of course I plan on getting in some crafty time too!!
See you back here soon!

Two layouts for today!
I had hoped to get more pages done today but there was lots of excitement. First Sam and I bought our first ever theater tickets! We're going to see War Horse in Omaha this weekend for our fancy schmancy early anniversary date.
Next Sam got another interview with the railroad. He's had to turn down several others but he's going to this one. Crossing our fingers in a few weeks when he goes for it!
And then tomorrow night Matthew will be inducted into the National Junior Honor Society!
So many happy things!!

First layouts using my Cricut Explore
I must say, I am totally smitten with my new Cricut Explore! it cuts so nice, is quiet and the software is easy peasy to work with. I've been smiling all night while working on some layouts.
Continuing on with the zoo trip I started the other day. (Yes, I will have a zillion zoo layouts!)
If all else fails, add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!

If you've owned a Cricut before you know how frustrating it was to get a good cut and you couldn't cut things very small. Well, they have fixed those issues by 200%!! The title on the More Desert Dome Animals was cut at 1 inch and on super thin, super old paper and it cut like a charm!
I also love that the software breaks down the layers for you on more complicated images like the cactus and monkey and separates them on the mats so you don't have to do all that tedious work yourself! here's a close up of those~
I am also loving the subscription they have as it has access to many (I think it's 120+) cartridges plus whatever ones you may have bought or will buy in the future. It will also cut SVG files.
I also had an awesome customer service experience with Cricut as I had a cartridge that wouldn't link. They took care of it, got it linked and were super helpful.
Yup, I'm one lucky, spoiled, happy girl!!
Have a wonderful night!
If all else fails, add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!
Explore!
I truly am spoiled and I know it! After much research and driving my friend, Kristie totally crazy with my indecision and questions, I finally decided and ordered my Easter/Annivesary/Mother's Day gift...it arrived today!!
I am super excited about this and can't wait to get to learning it!! (if my headache would just go away!!)
If all else fails, add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!

What a happy day!
For a while now I have felt like something has been missing from my crafting. There have been a few days when I felt happy and content but mostly, I just felt like I was going through the motions.
I put too much pressure on myself~~getting caught up in the whole blogging and social media side of crafting~~ feeling like I should blog every day, keep up with Facebook, yahoo groups, Facebook groups, Ning sites....it's exhausting.
I also find myself falling into the trap of comparing myself to others. Which I know not to do, but I have caught myself lately thinking that I don't color as well as others, or I don't put my cards together as well as others. Stupid, I know.
In my heart I've been longing to get back to my roots so to speak. Scrapbooking. I have so many photos to scrap and you know what, it makes me so happy when I look through my scrapbooks and my photos. But I always get overwhelmed and never know where to start.
So I decided this weekend, enough is enough. I need to do what makes ME happy. In my style, my time and no pressure. I know, this is something I should do all along but I find it so easy to get wrapped up in all the other stuff. So I told myself to just go upstairs, grab an envelope of photos that haven't been put away yet and scrap them.
I was thrilled that the envelope I grabbed had zoo photos! and I scrapped. and I smiled. and I felt the happiness in my heart like I haven't felt in quite a while.
I used my stamps. I used my Cricut. I used punches. I used dies. I didn't try to find challenges. I didn't look at any sites for how I should make the perfect layout. I had fun.
Lesson learned or should I say re-learned...Do what makes YOURSELF happy!
There might not be as many posts on the blog....might not be as many cards...might be more layouts...maybe something else...but that's okay because it's my blog.
I do appreciate all the love and support from my blogging friends and I appreciate you all continuing to stop by when you have a chance!
With all that said, here's the layouts I made today.

Playing with my Cricut!
I took time yesterday to really sit down and just play with my Cricut and the Cricut Craft Room to hopefully get a little more comfortable with this wonderful tool that just sits collecting dust.
I must say that I learned a lot and I think that I am a wee bit more comfortable with it now and hope to use it more often now. It really is easy to work, you just have to learn the right settings for different paper.
I only used my CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge and I made all these. Not a lot for the amount of time but still it was fun to learn and actually make something! I can't wait to get more of the CTMH cartridges~~they really are awesome and have 700 images on each cartridge plus coordinating stamp sets! Oh yeah..awesome blossom!! I've seen some amazing creations done with them all!
If all else fails-add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!
Visit my CTMH site for online shopping 24/7 and for inspiration and ideas!!

I will be using the snowflakes on some upcoming projects but I did turn the tag and circle into these~
They were so simple but I think turned out so pretty! A little glitter and some pearls were all I added! The best part is that I had fun making them and used my Cricut!
Also wanted to share that since it's a new month there is a new CTMH Stamp of the Month! Remember if you spend $50 you can get the SOTM for $5!!
I have my interview at 9:00 am tomorrow (Monday) morning! I'm so nervous and excited all rolled into one! Wish me luck!! Have an awesome day!

Lili's Chalkboard
Even though it's not my week to play along with the Inky Impressions Challenge I had an idea in the middle of the night for a card, so I just had to play along!! Be sure to visit the blog to see how you can play along and to see the other inkettes creations!
I inked up the fun Lili's Chalkboard for today creation. The possibilities with her are endless!! I had to test my Cricut to make sure it works after the move so I used it to cut out the little doily/diecut behind Lili. I really liked how the embossing worked on my last card so I tried that again!

Sleepy Time Sophie
Time for my day to post for Sweet Nothings Stamp Company!
I had the hardest time deciding which sweet image to use for my creation today but finally decided on Sleepy Time Sophie--can we just say awww!! So cute!

Good books build character
I'll admit it..as much fun as I've been having making my holiday cards, I'm still putting too much pressure on myself-plus it seems that for every one that I get made, I get three more names added to my list to send to so I think I'm going to just take the pressure off myself and go buy some. It's not the end of the world, right?
I will still be creating some holiday cards but not every.single.day, LOL! Onto my creation for today~
I'm in a gift exchange and the name I drew said she was a bookworm so I thought it would be appropriate to make a bookmark for her. My inspiration came from this bookmark on SCS! Isn't that just gorgeous??
Have a fabulous day!
Supplies~
stamps- Bookworm Ruby,
ink- Memento Tuxedo Black
cardstock- SU Crumb Cake,
designer paper- Bazzill Wayfarer
other goodies- copics, Cricut Tags,Bags and Boxes cartridge, ribbon, staple

Too Cute To Spook
I'm sure the title is throwing you all off...no, I'm not posting a Halloween card. LOL!
First a little back story--I use to like googly eyes a long time ago but over the years they just started to freak me out. I look quickly and then move on-darn wiggly things! Several friends use them and I adore their projects, I just choose to overlook the freaky eyes.
Fast forward to the past couple weeks where I have joined a new yahoo group and one of the ladies makes amazing cards with--you guessed it--googly eyes. Well, after lots of banter back and forth I decided that I need to make a card with the darn googly eyes to come to peace with the wiggly things. (and she is going to make a card with "normal" eyes..LOL)
So at my craft group this weekend I was kindly given some googly eyes by one of my sweet friends. Sooooo...long story short....here's my card today featuring one cute reindeer, if I do say so myself and googly eyes!! Hence the title...he is too cute to spook me!
I used my Cricut for the reindeer-Create a Critter cartridge and then just added some accents with a white pen and some stickles. My paper is Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey. I added some bakers twine and a Kaisercraft rhinestone to finish off the card. I must say, I really do like how this turned out, googly eyes and all!
For my layout I used the sketch from iSpy Sketches this week~
