Crazy 4 Challenges Week 10- Easel card

I've seen these gorgeous easel cards all over blogland but have been a chicken to try them. Well, when I saw this week's challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges was to create one, I figured I'd give it a go.
Before I get to my card I wanted to answer a few questions.
  • I am not at Fort Hood, Texas, we are at Fort Bliss, Texas. I feel so sorry for the families of that horrible tragedy at Fort Hood.
  • The sparkle on this card, is one of the new Creative Inspirations Paints. I just love this stuff!
  • Lastly, I've had so many requests as to "what I did" on cards that I will start adding a "what I did" section after the supplies. That way if you want to read it, you can, if not, just skip it!!
  • Oh yeah, one more important thing! Be sure to check out Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, for FUN blog candy of the new release that's happening this week! And be sure to come back on Thursday for the fun blog hop!!
Here's my creation~

supplies:
What I did:
I used these directions for this easel card. I was really surprised at how easy it was! I stamped my cute little girl in Memento ink onto Neenah Solar white cardstock. I also stamped one of her onto my designer paper. I colored the image on the Neenah cardstock with my copics and then cut the dress part out of the stamped image on the designer paper. I always go around the edges of the piece I've cut out with a black marker to make it blend better when you adhere it to your image.
After my image was finished then I figured out the way I wanted the papers and such on the card. Then I cut out my cute image with my nesties. I use removable tape to hold the nestie in place while I cut it out. After I cut it out I left the image in the nestie, carefully took off the tape and then sponged the spring pansy ink on the edges.
I then stamped my sentiment on some white cardstock and then punched it out with my tag punch and sponged the edges with spring pansy ink.
I used my pink scrappers floss for the button and attached it to the base of the card along with the tag with sentiment. Then I adhered all the layers to the front of the card and attached it.
I added the rest of my embellishments (don't ya love that Prima Card Jewelry in the middle of the flower?), stickles to the center of the flower and voila', my first easel card!

Morning! I've been busy outside and missed alot of your posts, you've been a busy girl! Everything looks fantastic and loving those sketch challenges. This one is so pretty. I haven't tried my hand at an easel card yet, but I think I'm going to have to! They're so neat looking. Your paper is very 'cheery' looking. Great job, Danni!
