Happy New Year's Eve!!

The end of 2010! Can you believe it? Another year gone? Wow!!

However you are celebrating tonight, I hope you stay safe! We'll be ringing in the new year at home with the kiddos. Matthew loves staying up to see the new year in and I'm sure Belle will follow in his footsteps!

I thought the the set by The Greeting Farm, Journey with Oliver and Amelia would make a fun New Year's card as we all embark on a new journey into the year!!

I stamped Amelia twice and then cut one out to put on the other one for dimension. I think she was in a very colorful mood...hehe!

I found an older sketch on the Club Anya blog that inspired me for the layout--it's in THIS post.

Spec-TAC-ular Thursday- True Beauty

The last Thursday of 2010! How did that happen??

For my last Spec-TAC-ular Thursday I decided to use a set I've had for quite a while but was intimidated by it... True Beauty. I just love the butterflies on it and the Victorian/vintage feel the stamps have. I just hope I have done it justice.

The butterfly is stamped twice with on up on pop dots for dimension. I chose to keep the card very simple to show off the stamp.
(two different photos as one showed the embossing well, and the other showed the image well)

Using some scraps

I was in the mood to use some scraps so I cut my scraps into 1 inch pieces and then adhered them to some black cardstock, then used my nestabilities to cut out some mats. Sort of a fun, funky look.

Here's some of the other nestie shapes I cut out to use later~

A sweet Stamping Bella image that cried out to be inked up! Isn't she just too cute!!

I have to admit that this is one of those cards that everything that could go wrong did. I am not fond of the end result but after all the hurdles on it, at least it didn't end up in the recycle bin! LOL!

Only 2 more days! Are you ready? I can't wait! I love seeing my kids open their gifts!! and to take time to remember the true meaning of Christmas too!

I used my cricut and Make The Cut software to make this cute tag.

Beware of wild animals!!

For those that don't know, we live in the desert of Texas. Today when the rest of you are cold and in snow or rain, it was around 74 degrees out. So to get us out of the house, we went to my favorite place~~ the zoo!!

Here's some of the wild animals there...hehe!

and also had to share this photo of Freckles and Daisy I took yesterday~

Tooth Fairy

Annabelle lost her first tooth the other night while brushing her teeth. Words can't describe how happy she was. LOL!
