A little of this, a little of that...

I think my creativity is slowly working it's way back to me. I am finally starting to visualize cards again in my head and I'm getting that "itch" to stamp so I take these as great signs! I'm hoping to maybe sit down tonight and see if I can accomplish anything!

It's been a rough week here. Freckles (our 6 year old Jack Russell/Beagle mix dog) was diagnosed last Wednesday with a malignant tumor on her leg. Long story short, we are not going to do surgery because of where it's located but going to try some medication and just make her as comfortable and happy for as long as we can.

Right now she's still not showing any signs of being in pain or being uncomfortable so that's good. It's still devastating to all of us as we love her so much.

I've also been busy at work and coming home pretty wiped out each night but that's a good sign. I still love my job and in a month or so will have been there a year!!

I miss blogging. Seems like so many people, me included, have gotten so caught up on social media that blogging takes a backseat. I miss it. I've met so many wonderful crafters through my blog and well, I just enjoy it, hoping to get back to it more.

So tell me--what's up in your world?? If leave me a comment by Friday, June 26, 2015 I will do a little drawing on Saturday, June 27, 2015 for a gift certificate to one of my favorite stamp stores-to be determined by me. :)

Have a happy day!

So sorry to hear about Freckles. She looks quite Happy!!! I have been house sitting a lot lately. The extra income is nice but it has wore me out going over every day and by the time I get back to my home and dinner done it seems like back to sleep and work I go again. Ugh!!! I really need a vacation!!! My 45th Birthday is this Friday!!!! Going to one of my Fave places to eat after work for dinner and hopefully some friends and family can come to help celebrate. Wish you were closer because your would be more then welcome to come join us!!! Then on Saturday we have theatre tickets to see Space Wars!!! Looks fun. I really want to go to the musical play up in Phnx to see the performance of The Little Mermaid. Just kind of hard to up and do things anymore owning a mini pig. He is more needy then our basset hound. The pig needs fed at like 4:30am. I don't have any volunteers to come to my house at 4:30am to come feed him while we are out of town. Ugh!!! Looking forward to seeing more crafty creations by you!!! Take care doll! Hugs, Heidi

Hi Danni! I saw the link to your blog on Facebook and thought I'd catch up with you for a couple minutes. :) I've been away from blogging a couple years now - crazy how time flies by. Not sure I'll ever get back to it, but I have started paper-crafting just a little bit again though. My MIL still lives with us and much of my time is spent caring for her needs. My oldest son will be a senior at high school in the fall, he's shaving daily, driving himself places, looking at colleges - it's surreal! My youngest son will be a sophomore - he enjoyed marching band last year and the season has started up this month for his second year of that. It's such a busy schedule, but he loves it. I'm sorry to hear @Freckles' tumor. I think I would make the same choices as you regarding surgery or not. Savor every day and moment with your loved ones - it all goes by too quickly.

Hugs! I am sorry to hear about Freckles. We went through something like that with our first dog and all I can say is trust your heart. I hope you get crafting again. I am glad you found a job you love. I am not crafting much due to life maybe I will get back soon.

Happy to see you blogging again, and hopefully your mojo is coming back extra strong.
So sorry to hear about your pup, I hope she stays happy and pain free. What a crazy summer with this streak of bad weather in the midwest. Our days are planned around the thunderstorms and tornado sirens...YAY for crafting in the basement! Looking forward to seeing your inspirational projects!

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. I know it can be devastating news. I really commend your final decision. It's not an easy one and so unselfish. We had a Chocolate Lab, Cocoa, who had elbow dysplasia. the vet recommended breaking the joints and casting him for regrowth early on, but that seems so horrendous to us. We fed him high glucosamine food and he lived to be the ripe old age of 11. A little slow getting up and often times I would wonder if this was it, but he always got up happy and bounced around like a puppy once he was up. Enjoy your time with him.

I know how much you, Sam and the kids LOVE Freckles. I am so sorry you are going through this. Dogs give you that much needed unconditional love. So just remember to smoother her in kisses and when you talk to her remind her to meet you at the Rainbow Bridge when her time comes. Now me on the other hand I have been going into my stamp room and looking at it and hoping that my mojo would come back too. I too miss the blogging. I am one of those few and far between that does not have a facebook or twitter account (or any other that type of social media) and miss out on everything. I love reading your blog and look forward to seeing and reading about what is going on in your world. I so look forward to your blogs. Oh and congratulations on your upcoming work anniversary. Come on mojo for Danni. Inky Huggz - Missy

So good to see a post from you again. I have been a follower for quite some time, but rarely comment. Thoughts and prayers to your fur baby. I know how difficult illness can be for our furry family members. I lost my job in February, so I have spent my time crafting and trying to learn some new techniques and perfect others until I am working again. Not having a job really cuts into my craft budget, but I still manage to squeeze in a few inexpensive things once in a while.

Awww sorry to hear about Freckles, I hope she will be comfortable for a long time, I totally get where your coming from, I only make one card now as I ended up with draws full and I am more cas now I find it easier and I get inspiration from doing cas ones, I was asked to make a full on card last week for my daughters best friend it took me 4 days and I struggled to do it, weird as that is all I used to do, I am sure your creative mojo will come back it maybe needed a rest :0) hugs Pops x

Oh, poor little guy. That is not fun. Hope the medication will work. Thank you again for visiting my blog. I know how hard it is to keep up a blog, but I hope you will get back to it soon. All is well here... same old, same old... trying to keep up with the crafting industry. There are so many wonderful products out there... hard to pick what I want. Take care!
