Still nothing

Sorry but I still don't have a card to share with you. I had Chinese food on Wednesday and it just did NOT agree with me. I still am not feeling so hot and because I was in the bathroom so much, still haven't had a good night's sleep.
The next few days are crazy too...today we met the kids teachers, tomorrow swimming and I'm taking a self defense class, Saturday we have dance class and need to buy school supplies, Sunday is church...and Monday is when my kiddos go back to school. Whew...
I'm hoping to get something created soon to share with you all providing I get to feeling better and get some good sleep, hope you'll check back!
TGIF! and enjoy your weekend!

Wiped out...

I just wanted to post a little note to my Flutter By Team and the other zillion blogs I normally visit daily.
I haven't been sleeping well and we've been doing so much and well, today I just plain ran out of energy. I'm taking the night away from the computer to rest and get to bed early and hopefully revive myself.
Please know that I have looked at all the FABULOUS creations and loved them...just don't have the energy to leave comments.

Flutter By Wednesday #68

This week just zoomed by for me! I can't believe it's Wednesday again already!!

Be sure to visit all the Flutter By Team members blogs (on my sidebar) and leave them some love! I really love my team and appreciate the work they put into their creations each week.

Try It Out Tuesday #29

Our challenge this week was to create a gift for someone. I don't know why but the minute I hear I have to make a "project" vs. a card I panic. I guess it's out of my comfort zone but one I enjoy..after it's all done. LOL!
Be sure to check out Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see the other wonderful creations from the design team and also to see how you can play along.
I decided to make a gift for my dog, Heidi Ann. Yes, I know I'm silly but today is her 10th birthday! We got her in Germany the first year we were married (that's where we were stationed). She is just the best dog and my first "baby". I even threw her a birthday party for her first birthday, much to Sam's dismay. LOL!
Here's some more recent photos of her (she is a boxer, but a very small boxer).

Okay so I won't "give" this to her, except for the doggie treats, but I thought it would be nice to give to a friend who has a similar love for dogs. I used a tutorial on SCS for the Tiny Treat Basket.

stamps: Rian, SU Teeny Tiny Wishes
paper: SU retired Kiwi Kiss, SU retired Raspberry Tart,

Intimidated

A dear friend knew my love of fairies and sent me a few of the most gorgeous images quite a while ago. I just look at them and stare in awe but truth be known, I've been intimidated by them. So many details!! Well, I finally decided that having them sitting in a box uncolored is not doing them justice so I decided to just dive in and color. Here's my first attempt~ what do you think:

card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
stamps: image from RAK
paper:
ink:
others: prismacolors, OMS, fruit punch stickles, stardust stickles,

Just a little note~ So sorry I haven't been around to leave comments the past few days. We have been enjoying ourselves spending time with friends before the kids start school. And yes, my kids start early back to school but it's because they go to a year round school. Normally they start mid-July so actually this year is late. Also the army moved Sam's date for R&R to the 19th of August....so he's happy he'll be here to "celebrate" (in other words torture) me on my birthday.

Since you asked...even if you didn't....

I guess I haven't updated on here much lately on a personal note as I've had a few emails lately and comments wondering about things so here's the low down~
  • last week my water heater had a leak..I spent all week dealing with that but as of Friday I have a brand new one, whew!
  • because of the above issue, I had to cancel my first card class that I was going to teach so my SU business is moving slowly but I'm still loving being a demonstrator and have lots of fun ideas for the future.
  • Sam should be here around the 9th of August! I'm so excited I can't stand it. It's for 2 weeks and then he'll be gone until around May.
  • The kids start school on August 3rd so right now I'm trying to get them ready for that
I guess that's it.... thanks for asking and I hope that all you know how much I appreciate you coming to my blog and taking the time to leave comments and such.....it really helps my days brighter!

I wanted to create something today but just didn't know what so I decided to look at some challenge blogs. I started with Mojo Monday and went no further! I think the sketch this week looks so fun so that's what I decided to work on.

My Paper Pretties stamps have been neglected lately so I decided to use Giving Thanks Sophia. I also have finally admitted to myself that I have a tiny bit of a paper addiction so I'm trying to use, use, use what I have before I keep buying, buying, buying! LOL!

Hope & Grace Sing

On one of my yahoo groups we were challenged to create something tropical. As I was going through my pile of colored images I found this fun little sweetie by The Greeting Farm. She's from the Hope and Grace line and called Sing.

Spring Has Sprung

Yes, I know it's summer but that's the name of this sweet Sugar Nellie image. Another RAK image that was shared with me. If you're wondering why all the RAK images lately, it's because that's normally what I take with me to my friend, Jennifer's house to color.
I've had this paper forever and didn't know what I was going to use it on as it's so much softer shades than I normally use but it worked out perfect for this sweetie.

paper: Luxe Cashmere Sweater,
ink: SU Basic Black,

Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Blog Hop

I can't believe it's here!! The day that the amazing design team from Susana's store gets to show you the beyond amazing, gotta have, to die for Elisabeth Bell for SCACD stamps!! Remember these will be available TOMORROW at Susana's store! You will have to have them, I promise.

If you are starting here with me, be sure to take a moment and go back to Suzanne's blog at the beginning of the hop. I'll see ya when you get back here!

After you're done here, head on over to Susan's blog to see the next awesome image!!

Before we get to my card, I just have to say that this is truly one of the most amazing things that has ever happened to me. What is that, you ask? It's being a part of Susana's design team but also, becoming friends and getting to know Susana. She truly is such a blessing to me and a dear friend that I know I'll always cherish.

Imagine my surprise when I received the stamps for this release and found out that Susana had named one of them after ME!! I still am just in shock. There are no words to describe how it feels to have a stamp named after you, let alone, an Elisabeth Bell stamp. Wow. I am so honored and just speechless at how to say thank you. I told Susana that one of these days I'm going to meet her in person and I'm going to hug her for hours for all she's done for me and for all she means to me!

With that being said, let me introduce you to Danni~ ( and boy, do I hope I did her justice)~

Flutter By Wednesday #66

Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday!! I'm so happy you stopped by!

I can not bring to words how happy I am to see my little ol' challenge finally take flight like it has. Thanks so much to my amazing Flutter By Team and to all of you who stop by and also play along. I truly appreciate it and I LOVE seeing all those fluttering creations!

The challenge this week is brought to you by team member, Cathy. Her challenge is to use the colors pink and brown with your butterfly or fairy. I'd love to see your creations! Leave a direct link to your creation in Mister Linky, (I reserve the right to remove any links not appropriate or linked to blogs vs. entries.) If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use the keyword, FBW. Can't wait to see all those fun flutter by creations!

I also wanted to announce that Michelle is now our team leader. Next month Sam should be home on his 2 week R&R and I'm not sure exactly what we're doing so I wanted to have someone to oversee the challenge...just in case. Thanks to Michelle for taking on this new title
and all it entails!!

Don't forget to stop by all the team members sites to see their fluttering creations! Links are on my sidebar! Nicola was unable to get her creation done this week as she has a family emergency to tend to, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

I had a hard time choosing what to create my card with this week...so many fun fluttering stamps! Here's what I ended up with~ hope you like it!
I tried something new (for me) on her skirt. I stamped it two extra times on white cardstock and then adhered it before adding the last designer paper piece. I really like the way
it added dimension to it. I know others do this alot but first time for me trying it.

Supplies:
card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
stamps: Eloise Greengrass,
paper: Neenah Solar White, Basic Grey Bittersweet, sparkle cardstock
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
others: copics, gold glimmer shimmerz, CM cutting system, SU Button Bouquet and SU Button Latte, white scrappers floss (colored with copics),

Also, don't forget about the blog candy at Susana's store blog, Follow Your Heart! Go enter if you haven't already!!

*Edit~ I don't know what has happened to Mister Linky, I've tried all I know to get it to appear and it's just not working today (Wednesday) so if you don't see it, please just leave a link in your comment to your wonderful creation, thanks!*

Second edit...I found Mister Linky..no need to "relink" if you've left your link in the comments unless you want to. Thanks and sorry about the problem! (also, I have to go into each FBW post to change part of the code for Mister Linky to appear....this week has been a challenge for me so I'm only going to do a few weeks back for the moment. Thanks
