Wishes Do Come True

Today I wanted to play with one of the images from the Classic Retro Crew~ Wishes Do Come True! What would you wish for if you had a genie? I’m not sure what I’d wish for..hmmm…okay, let’s narrow it down, what would you wish for from a crafty genie?? I would wish for a craft room with lots of space to store and work on my crafts!

I had so much fun making this card! I used my new Goosebumps Shimmer Texture Spray on the background behind Wishes Do Come True and also on my flourish~~ this stuff is amazing! I don’t know that the camera will do it justice but it has the neatest texture and the prettiest shimmer to it. I can’t wait to play with it more as you can do so much with it just by how much or little you apply!! (if you get this and try it--which you should--take a warm rag to the nozzle after you use it to help it spray better!)

Ivy The Nerd

It’s no secret that I’m a follower..hehe..and usually when I see an image or trend for the first time, I say nope, not for me…but then after seeing said image or trend numerous times then my inner Veruca comes out and I have to have it.

I saw the images from Sugar Nellie called Simply Sassy--something like that--and thought nope…then I started seeing images from Saturated Canary-same artist. Again…the thought was nope. And then I saw more. and more. and more. And that leads us to today’s creation.

Meet Ivy The Nerd from Saturated Canary. I love her glasses..so fun! Yup, I’m a follower and a nerd and proud of it!  LOL!!

 

I probably should’ve printed her a tad bigger but it worked out okay in the end. As I was working on this, Belle came in and said I use these colors alot, guess they are one of my favorite combos! For my layout I used this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch 212.

Our challenge this week is to use Halloween Colors~ black, purple, orange and green. When I chose this challenge last month I thought it’d be fun but truthfully I’m sick of these colors at the moment and just couldn’t find any mojo to play with them so being the “boss”, I’m taking a “personal day” and not playing along this week..but I sure hope you’ll join us! (if you’re sick of those colors too, play along and in your posts put that you’re pulling a Danni and I’ll forgive ya!)

Just a quick post to say thank you for all the comments and emails in regards to my last post. I have decided that for now I’m not signing up with any company but instead will be trying to maybe have some online parties so that I can earn some of the hostess sets and goodies! :)

This week is a busy one on my blog and hopefully I can get the rest of this cold to go away (I never thought I’d love a product named Mucinex!)so that I can get back in the swing of things by visiting you all!

Do you ever have something that is just nagging you..that you can’t get out of your head? well, here’s mine…..

Ever since The Angel Company closed I have really, really, really missed having that part of my crafting. It’s hard to explain but I just love being a part of a company, selling it, meeting people, etc.

Stampin’ Up is something I really would love to do but I’m not at a point to give up my design teams/linking to the stores of design teams so that’s out.

A Muse is saturated with friends and really, as great as their products are, not really for me.

That brings us to Close To My Heart. I had originally said no, not my thing to this company too but with their latest catalog and the Cricut cartridge and well, all of it…I’m very intrigued.

My question is this~~ do you have a CTMH consultant? if not, is it something you might be interested in if I had a separate blog with lots of inspiration and such? If the interest is there, I’d be willing to set up hostess clubs and other fun things….(and to my local crafty group, I know you have a consultant and wouldn’t expect anything from you all!)

It’s just something I can’t let go of but instead of following my impulsive side, I’m trying to be logical about it…so just had to ask! Thanks and thanks for your honesty in advance!!

Off to get some McD’s for lunch (have I mentioned my McD’s Sweet Tea obsession?) and then I’m getting crafty!! Have a happy day!

Fancy Marci

A just because I felt like coloring card…LOL!

Whew, started this card days ago, finally finishing it! I think my mojo is still off somewhere as I struggled to get this together but at least it’s a start on the mountain of projects I need to get done!

The shape behind Marci and the big butterfly were made with my new CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. I think this *might* be the cartridge to get me to love my Cricut! Even though it’s only a few shapes, I had fun using it and can’t wait to do more! It even has me really considering signing up with CTMH…I probably won’t but…..hehe!

Finally in my craft room

At the risk of jinxing myself, I think I am on the mend. Yesterday was the calm before the storm in regards to me being sick, what a horrid night but it’s only uphill now. Today has been the best I’ve felt all week.

Finally made it into my craft room, yay! I’m sooo behind on things, not sure where to start but I’m sure I’ll figure it out!

I have lots of fun to get done for next week too so stay tuned!! I think first I’m going to go shopping at SCACD though, hehe…Susana got some new things in that are must haves!

Just a little note to let my blogging friends know that I'm battling a nasty cold right now. I keep hoping each day that I'll feel better but instead I keep feeling worse. But once I feel better I will be around to visit you all and catch up with my DT comments, email and etc.

This week is an open challenge so anything goes as long as it has a butterfly, fairy or angel on it. I’m trying to use some stamps that haven’t seen ink yet so I decided to use the super cute Pergamano Fairies 2 set. Love that SCACD carries such a variety of stamps and products--don’t you?

I messed up a bit on coloring her as I think she was suppose to have socks on with bows but I just gave her pretty bows..hehe! My idea for the layout was inspired by team member Peggy with this card.
