How are they for YOU??

Edited-added for my own tests....ignore!! LOL!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Annabelle

My little girl is going to be 5 on Sunday! How did that happen?? I keep telling her to stop growing but she won't listen.
We're having her party today. Should be fun. One of our babysitter's is dressing up as Hannah Montana and then doing all the girls makeup and hair and then teaching them a dance. Belle is so excited! I'm just glad I don't have to entertain them all, as that is not my strong suit!
I thought my new TAC set, Fairy Birthday would make a perfect birthday card for my princess.

One of the yahoo groups I'm in has a monthly card exchange that I participate in. This month your card had to have a pumpkin on it. I used my TAC set, Fall Fun for it. Just love the little girl!

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #39

I've seen Mercy's sketch challenges but somehow always seem to not be able to get anything created for them. I finally decided it was time to change that!
Here's her wonderful sketch for this week:

And here's my creation....after I cut out my circles I discovered they were too large for a normal A2 card so I made a square one...a bit different from the sketch but still the same idea...LOL!

(and I remembered to turn off the ceiling fan!)

I also am entering this in the 3 Clovers Thursday Challenge for this week...doodling. Go me, 2 challenges in one card!

Sorry for all the posts today. I've got so many new goodies that I expect to have MANY posts for a while.
Roll

Could it be the one??

At long last I feel like I might have found the perfect cutter/trimmer for me. Yay!! I have stuck with my old trusty Fiskars forever and really haven't been that happy with it. I've tried a few other triple track cutters over the years only to continue to be disappointed.
Well earlier in the week I ordered the new CM rotary trimmer and it arrived today!! I have played with it a little and so far I'm just loving it! I also got the wavy blade and think that will be fun.
Just thought I'd share as I know people are always on the quest for good trimmers/cutters.
If you don't have a CM consultant, I have a dear friend who is awesome, just email me!!

Challenge overload and a memory filled day

Anyone ever feel like they are just on challenge overload? There are so many awesome challenges out there that I always want to try but then I try to pick which one to do and my head swims so I don't do any. It is good that there are so many though, makes it more fun.

While deciding what to do for today's post I thought about the date, September 18. That day is so special to me. It was my Great Grandmother Vada's birthday. I always remember the year I turned 8 she turned 80. So fun. She was such an important part of my life and I miss her so much. I wish my kids had a chance to know her. Well, anyway, happy birthday Grandma, hope the heavens are celebrating you today.

I decided to look through my pile of images that are already colored to create with today. I have quite the pile of them so I'd like to get to using them!!

I chose this cute Sarah Kay Country Girl as she reminded me of my grandma with the chickens. Grandma always had chickens and rabbits.

supplies:
card size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4

paper: some from my stash, SU cardstock,
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black,
others: prismacolors, OMS, copic glitter pens, Curved rectangles nestabilities, corner punch, CM fine tip markers, Prima Daisy Crazy Destiny, cappuccino bella baubles,
