Inky Impressions DT call

I have really fallen in love with the sweet images at Inky Impressions. So much so, I considered trying out for their design team. But then I got to really evaluating my time and also the fact that I'm on one awesome DT already, trying out for a couple others, plus my Flutter By Wednesday's and well, I decided at this time, it wouldn't be fair to me or Inky Impressions for me to try out as I wouldn't really be able to devote myself to my DT projects.
With that being said I am designating myself an official "friend" of Inky Impressions. LOL!! I plan on trying to play along with their challenges when I can and so on.
If you're interested in the design team, visit this post to see how you can try out!
The challenge this week was to create an ornament. I had planned on doing just that but well, I changed my mind. LOL! So here's just a little project using one of my new stamps from Inky Impressions.
I used this sketch I found on Card Patterns

Here's my card~

supplies:
  • card size: 5 1/2 x 5 1/2
  • stamps: Lili's Cleaning Day, I'd rather be stamping sentiment from Inky Impressions,
  • paper: SU cardstock, retired SU designer paper(sorry can't remember the name-maybe Rainbow Sherbert)
  • ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Dusty Durango,
  • others: copics, CTMH ribbon, SU dusty durango marker, Lotsa Dots, glue dots,
What I did:
I started by stamping Lili twice and coloring one full image and then just the vacuum on the other one with my copics.
Then I carefully cut out the vacuum and put it on pop dots on the full image to add some dimension.
I stamped my sentiment, also from Inky Impressions, in SU Dusty Durango under my image.
Then I assembled my card. Once again I was hasty in adhering down everything and got the ribbon a bit too much in the middle but it still works. I doodled with my SU marker around the main image, then adhered it all and then added embellishments.

And as a side note, for those who said you wanted updates on how I'm doing at not spending...I'm failing miserably. Darn Stamping Bella cute stamps jumped into my shopping cart as did adorable new Anya stamps..and of course some goodies from Susana. Yup, I'm failing miserably.
