Album question....

One of my goals for the new year is to scrapbook more (more on my goals later)....anyhoo, I've been using these 3 ring binder type album from Hobby Lobby as they hold lots of pages and are easy to rearrange the pages since I scrap out of chronological order. I just went to Hobby Lobby to get more and it looks like they are either discontinuing them or cutting back on their stock. So long story made short, what kind of albums do you use if you're a scrapper and why.....
Thanks!

Edited....maybe they were just low because I realize now they were on sale....I'm hopeful that's the case....but if it's not...what kind do you like?

OMG!! Danni don't tell me that!! Those are the same ones I use. I know mine had them a few weeks ago. I also heard that HL is going to start selling online Jan 1st. I hope that helps...you should look at my blog...we must be thinking alike!

Carrie

I love them to. The ones that are like $30. I love them esp with a coupon. I hate to hear this. I don't scrap in order either.

Oh Danni I hope you can find the albums you use! I use the post bound albums and I don't scrap in order. I put my pages in a 14x14clear box until I get the whole year done and then put them in an album. I am so far behind in scrapping I am hoping I dont misplace my clear box!!!

I use 12 x 12 albums that I get at Costco or at Big Lots. Big Lots is a discount store that I can find 12 x 12 albums for around $10 to $15. I need to spend time organizing my albums since I just put pages in wherever there is a spot.

I've just started using SU! 3-ring 12x12 albums and they are really nice. Let me know if you want any info about them. :o)

I was just at Michaels tonight and they also have some nice 3 ring binders in different colors. They were 12x12...and I may just start with those the next time I need an album...as well as get them for my Mom's album she is wanting me to make

I use 12x12 albums, the ones with protectors....and refillables....add more pages. I don't scrap in any orders either.

I scrap out of order, too and I love We R Memory Keepers 12x12 3-ring binders! They come in fun colors, are sturdy and work really well for me.

I've always used strap-hinge albums. They expand (I have 4 years of college in one big 12x18 album)to be as thick or thin as your actual pages, and I love that they don't look like a 3-ring binder (those remind me of work) and the hinge doesn't interfere with the pages like a post does. Can't recall mfg, but Mike's carries them & their refills/page protectors. HTH!

great question! I don't - see I'm cheap and would rather buy products to play with than to hold my pages. SOOOO all my pages are in 12x12 file trays. Yes, I'm a dork. Yes, I need albums - so let me know what you find out so I can go buy some too, lol!!

I love the post bound albums (I think that's what they are called) because they secure the pages tightly, but they also allow you to take pages out and rearrange them. It's a little more trick to take the pages out, but I finally figured it out shortly after I started scrapping years ago :) HTH.
